A/N: I really don't know about this and this isn't proofread, so if there grammatical or typo errors, that's on me. I hope you like this.--- Seungwan was wide awake despite the whole neighbourhood being in deep sleep. She was tossing and turning trying to get some shut eye but her brain was just too active over thinking things. There was a certain bounce in Seungwan’s steps these past few days and her smile were a lot brighter. Just thinking about the reason behind those smiles was enough to make Seungwan roll around the bed out of giddiness but remembering her current dilemma was enJust thinking about the reason behind those smiles was enough to make Seungwan roll around the bed out of giddiness. But she stopped rolling around and let out a soft sight when she remembered her current dilemma. Joohyun, her girlfriend, is also her bestfriend. The same bestfriend she’s been pining on for years. They met when Seungwan was four and Joohyun was seven. They got separated for a few years when Seungwan went to Canada for a few years where she continued her studies. Their communications remains intact all those years that the distance only makes them closer to each other. She wasn’t even planning on confessing to Joohyun. She’s convinced that their friendship was more than enough for her and as long as Joohyun is happy, she is too. But fate must have had a hand on them because it was Joohyun who made the first move, just a few weeks after she returned to Seoul to continue her studies there. --- Seungwan caught herself staring at Joohyun again. She’s been doing that a lot these days ever since she got back. She should be more careful if she wants to keep her feelings to herself. But one could never stop themselves and just stare at the beauty that is Bae Joohyun. They’re at the Han River right now, taking a walk. They decided to reward themselves after surviving the first week of class. They went out to eat dinner at one of Joohyun’s favourite restaurant. Taking a walk along the Han River was one of Joohyun’s habits that rubbed off of Seungwan when she came back. They were sitting on a bench facing the river. The lamppost a few meters behind Seungwan lit up Joohyun’s face, giving her that soft look. A soft smile was playing on her lips as she watched the sky. She has that faraway look in her eyes, so deep in thought that there is a small frown forming as she lets out a small sigh.Seungwan was watching the reflection of the light in the river when she felt Joohyun’s cold hands holding hers. She looked at their joined hands and peek at Joohyun’s face. She can feel Joohyun’s hold tightening and when she looked at Seungwan’s face, she could see tears forming in her eyes.“Joohyun, wha—“ Seungwan’s question was caught in her throat, her eyes widening, eyebrows shooting up when she felt Joohyun’s soft lips on hers. She can feel one of her hands on her nape bringing her closer, the other one still holding her hands. Seungwan felt her heart hammering in her chest as she closed her eyes and felt the kiss. They separated when air was a need, their foreheads leaned against each other, and eyes still close. Seungwan can feel Joohyun’s breath against her lips. She opened her eyes when she felt Joohyun pulling away, the biggest yet shaky grin on her face, eyes full of happiness yet there was nervousness in there.Seungwan leaned in again for their second kiss which ends with them giggling like the lovesick fool that they are. She hugged Joohyun’s body close to her,“I love you, Hyun.” Seungwan whispered as she pressed a kiss on Joohyun’s head. A kiss on her neck and a soft whisper of “I love you too” was what she got as an answer. --- Seungwan was giggling to herself again when she remembered that night. They had been dating for a few months now and Seungwan felt that she’s on the clouds despite the struggle of being a freshman and Joohyun’s tight schedule as a senior, they made it work. It also helps that they were staying at the same building, making meeting up with each other easier. They were already looking forward to spending the winter break with each other. They already planned out what they want to do in Joohyun’s hometown where they would be spending the holidays before returning to Seoul for Joohyun’s last semester and Seungwan’s second. When Seungwan called her parents and before she could even tell them her plan, they already told her that they already booked a ticket for her to spend her holidays with them in Canada. Seungwan’s dilemma now is that she doesn’t know how to break the news to her girlfriend, especially when the said girlfriend was so excited. Seungwan woke up with a start to her ringing phone. It was Joohyun calling her. “Good morning, Hyun.” Seungwan croaked. “Hey, Wan? Did you just up?” Joohyun asked on the other line.Seungwan cleared her throat first before answering. “Yeah, I can’t sleep last night so I ended up sleeping in. What’s up?” “Breakfast?” Seungwan can hear Joohyun’s smile through the phone and can’t help but smile herself.“Alright, I’ll just wash up and I’ll fetch you in your room so we could get breakfast together.” “I already had our breakfast here. Just
