Midnight Snack (1/1)
Joohyun woke up in the middle of the night suddenly craving for something sweet and spicy. She let out a soft sigh because she’s doesn’t want to leave Seungwan’s warm hold, it feels so comfortable and it seems that its lulling her back to sleep but at the same time she couldn’t ignore her sudden want to get herself some midnight snack. She twists her body slowly, trying so hard no wake up her wife slumbering away beside her.Her eyes feel on her sleeping wife’s face, her brows furrowing a bit at Joohyun’s movement, letting out a small huff before Joohyun felt her arms tightening around her, pulling her as close as their body would allow. It took all her will power to stop herself from placing a kiss on her wife’s slightly parted lips, afraid that she might wake her up. Seungwan has been lacking sleep for a few weeks now, she could see the tired lines present on her face accompanied with dark circles under her eyes and yet Joohyun haven’t seen anyone as beautiful as her wife.Seungwan is working in a big entertainment agency as a composer and a music producer and to say that her wife’s working hours is unpredictable is an understatement. With a new group making their debut alongside with some groups making their comebacks in the following months, her wife’s rally swamped with work oftentimes staying late at the studio to record and polishing the albums. Seungwan would usually stay and catch a few hours of sleep in the company’s lounge area if it’s already late when they finish but lately, Seungwan insist on going home every time opting to just take the cab instead of just driving herself home and see to it that she’s home not later than eleven. But no matter how tired her wife may look like, one would also notice the sparkling eyes, the wide smiles, and the over-all bubbly personality that her wife’s sporting these past few weeks.Joohyun couldn’t ignore her hunger anymore so she tried to lift Seungwan’s off her waist and tried to replace her body with a pillow because as much as she wants Seungwan’s cuddles, her want to have her wife resting is greater. She watched her wife for a few more seconds before getting out of their bed, hissing softly as her bare feet made contact on their cold floor, shuffling as quietly as she could as she made her way to their kitchen. She opened their fridge and tried to find the packed curry that her wife took the liberty to stock a few months ago when she had been craving for it almost every night. She lets out a happy yelp a bit loudly for her liking, immediately looking at her back, to the direction of their bedroom trying to hear something that could mean that her wife’s awake. When she hears none, she tried taking out the container of the curry, putting it inside the microwave to heat it up. Her eyes then on the fruits present on their dining table, trying to choose which one she wants tonight, finally deciding on the apple which looks so delicious in her eyes. She eyed the other food in their still open fridge, trying to find something more to eat when her eyes decided that the kimchi looks so enticing but her stomach lurched as her nose got a whiff when she opened the container. She haphazardly placed the container on the bench top, crossing the kitchen in a few steps with a sudden urge to empty her stomach as nausea hit her. She was dry heaving when the microwave thought it was a good time to start beeping loudly. Joohyun cursed in her mind, knowing that she might’ve woken up her wife already. “Hyun?” her wife’s husky voice rang across their place, her slippers shuffling against their floor. She can already imagine Seungwan’s furrowed brows, lips pouting, and eye still laced with sleep and worry. She hear her footsteps getting nearer as she continued to heaving, feeling herself tearing up at the effort. She felt her wife’s warm hand caressing her back in a comforting manner that she badly craved, maybe more than the curry that she heated up earlier. “It’s okay, love. I got you.” Seungwan whispered on her ear, as she held her hair away from her face and continued rubbing on her back.“...the microwave...” Joohyun croaked as the urge finally stopped and replaced by the want to just throw the noisy appliance outside their house. She felt Seungwan’s warm hand left her back to turn it off. Joohyun straightened up a bit to wash her face with water when she felt her wife’s presence beside her. She cleaned the sink before she looked back at Seungwan. She’s holding a glass of water in one hand and a packet of mints on the other. She smiled gratefully at her when Seungwan gathered her hands to dry it up before putting a few mints into her palm for her to popped into her mouth as her wife wiped her face. The doctor told them that mints help with nausea and you could. Joohyun smiled when she remembered her wife driving to the nearest store to buy almost all their stock of mints. When Seungwan finished wiping Joohyun’s face, she noticed her wife’s brows wrinkle even further and she followed her line of sight. “Why aren’t you wearing you slippers? The floor’s too cold.” Her wife is grumbling as she walked away to the direction of their bedroom. When she came back, her brows is still deeply furrowed, eyes still red from sleep a
