Sarang chewed on her dinner, sitting between Minseok and Sera quietly; she was almost done. She wondered why no one ever uttered a word in the table while they ate. She had had dinners with Sehun's family for three times already and honestly, she was really happy that she'd be having dinners with them once she got married. It was fun to have them around; Mr. Oh was more fatherly to her then her own father had ever been to any of her siblings or her. "Sarang," she looked up, hearing her father's call. "Appa?" "Are you okay with Sehun, now?" He asked with an expressionless face. Sarang really wanted to scoff at that but restrained herself from doing so. "What if I tell you I'm not? Nothing will change, Appa." She started, "You're going to force me into the marriage anyway." "Sarang," She heard her brother mumble from her right. She sighed in return when she looked at her sister and found her expressionless face while she chewed on her own food calmly as if Sehun meant nothing to her. "Well, then. I'll tell you the truth," Sarang said. "Sehun's family is way better than this family I had been born into, Appa. they care for me even though they just know me for some weeks." "Sarang, you never used to talk against your father. What's wrong with you these days?" Her mother spoke up this time before her father could even open his mouth. "Well, I changed. And I'm done with my food." Sarang pushed the heavy chair backwards and got up. "Goodnight." She exited the dining hall with long strides. Her brother sighed before standing up too. "Where are you going now?" His father asked with arched brows. "She didn't finish her food, Appa." He took her plate and grabbed the fork she had left beside it, ignoring everyone's eyes on him. "And I'm done with my dinner too. Goodnight." He walked up to the exit and climbed the stairs to his sister's room. He knocked on it knowing very well that the door won't be opened to him willingly by her sister. "Oppa," Sarang whined when she remembered that she hadn't locked the door and Minseok had easily made his way in. "You've got to eat. Look at how thin you've gotten," He walked over to her and took a seat beside her on the bed. "Is Sehun not treating you well?" "Of course, he is. Did I tell you?" Sarang mumbled. "What?" he inquired. "I lost my first kiss." She replied shyly. "To Sehun." Minseok chuckled softly at that, "Eat up first," he stabbed the vegetables, that Sarang had never liked to eat and held the fork up to her lips. She chewed silently without further arguements. Things had ended up this way for the last four days. She would have an arguement with either her father or mother and leave the table without finishing her food. Minseok would then sneak into her room and feed her whatever she had left behind. Only last night was an exception since he hadn't returned home because of the work at the company. "I don't call you a kid for nothing," He said. "Do you have to leave your dinner behind?" "I didn't feel like eating, Oppa," She said in a soft voice. "Did you even come home last night? I had to eat with them, all alone. Sera Unnie has become so distant; she barely talks with me these days." "Last night was hectic. I fell asleep on the desk without dinner and I'm sorry I couldn't pick your calls up." Minseok sighed. Sarang was so right when she said their father had never cared for any of the three of them. Just his company. "Why do you always tire yourself up, Oppa? I was worried." Minseok stuffed another piece into her mouth with a sad smile. There was a long silence, a comfortable one that lasted for some thirty seconds. Minseok sighed, evetually breaking the quietness of the room. "I'll miss you, Sarang. Once you leave this house everything would be so less lively." "As if I'm not ever returning. Sehun will bring me here whenever I want. You can go visit me too." Sarang said with a soft smile gracing her lips. "That won't be the same, Sarang. We won't be having these conversations about our daily life sitting in your room after you get married. I wonder if I'd get any free time to talk over the phone with you because work will increase with the companies merging." he stroked her hair with his free handaffectionately. "I'll miss my little sister so much," His words came out in a mere whisper. "I'll miss you too, Oppa." her smile turned into a sad one once she realized how true his words were. "But, we'll survive." "Ofcourse we will. But it will be hard to without you in the house. Sera barely listens to me; always busy with her own world." "We'll talk everyday, no matter what, okay?" Sarang held out her little pinky at him with a little smile. Minseok chuckled as a response and entertwined his own with hers in a pinky promise. "Now, you have to finish all of this." Minseok said while pointing the fork at her. She hesitantly opened her mouth to take the piece of vegetables into her mouth. "They never cook it nicely. Why do I have to eat vegetables everyday? It's so boring." Sarang whined. "Nah-huh, eat," Minseok said, waiting for her to gulp down the chewed food. All the while, they talked about random things with him feeding her every now and then. She really was a baby inside and Minseok would terribly miss her once she leaves. They won't have these conversations once she does. He highly doubted if he'd be feeding his little sister in the middle of the night listening to her secrets that she had gathered from the last time they talked. They talked all night long about this and that even when her dinner was finished. No one came to check up on them. The two brother and sister never ran out of topic but somewhere in the middle, they both fell asleep. "Ah, Sehun-ssi," the middle-aged man mumbled after opening the door for Sehun. "Are you here for Sarang?" "Right. Where is she though? She isn't picking my calls up," Sehun said after bowing to the older man and entered the house. "She is in her room, probably. You can wait here, I'll call her for you," He said. "No, I'll be going there by myself," Sehun managed a small smile on his face as he started climbing the familiar stairs. He had the route to her room memorized since the first day he walked into her room. On the way he bumped onto someone and he realised it was intentional when he saw her face. Sera was looking at him with a raised eyebrow but Sehun wasn't in a mood to answer her questions. "I'm here to check on Sarang. I know that's what you were going to ask me," Sehun resumed climbing up the stairs without giving her a chance to respond. "I don't think she'd like to see you now," Sera said, standing on the spot he had left her. "I don't care," Sehun exclaimed from the top and disappeared into the hallway. Sera sighed and fixed her hair that she had trimmed some days ago because her mother had insisted, resuming her walk down the stairs. Sehun reached the familiar wooden door and gently knocked on it. He turned the knob when he heard no response from the inside and stepped into the dark room. The light seeped through the thin curtains, being the only source to illuminate the otherwise dark room. He searched for her with arched brows. Sarang, he thought, would probably not be in bed on a Wednesday morning; but that's where he found her. Her little frame was curled on the other end of the bed and he sprinted towards her the moment his eyes met her figure. His eyes widened seeing how she was clasping onto the bedsheet, a good amount of the fabric in her little fist. He knelt down instantly, calling her name out every now and then, trying to know what was bothering her since she definitely wasn't okay. "Sarang," he gently shook her by the shoulder. He felt her body relax a little as she slowly opened her eyes which were previously squeezed shut. She called his name softly, making him soften his own expression. "What's wrong? You're definitely not feeling well," He combed the loose strands of her hair backwards soothingly, trying to make her speak. "Nothing much," she whispered, hoping Sehun caught that. "Period cramps," Sehun saw the red blush of her cheeks, trying to comprehend what she said. He now understood why Sera had earlier told him that Sarang might not want to see him now. He was used to Jaerin getting all moody in her time of the month every thirty days. "Cramps?" he mumbled. "What should I do?" "Don't you have work, Sehun?" She faintly smiled at him and Sehun wondered how she could still do that in this type of a situation when her nails were literally making holes in the bedsheet. "I bet it's still morning, right?" "That's completely fine. I own my workplace, anyway." He said, taking a seat beside her. "No one came to check up on you?" Sarang shook her head with a sad smile, "I just had breakfast when my stomach started to twist and I knew what was coming. It hurts so much," she whined, trying to get up. Sehun instantly stood up to help her seat on her bed, placing a pillow behind her back so the stiff headboard wouldn't hurt her. Her face was paler than the last day time he had seen her, which was just yesterday and he was definitely every bit worried about her. "What do I do...so that the pain disappears?" He asked, cluelessly. He had never seen Jaerin whining about her period cramps and wondered why it was so extreme with Sarang. "It won't really disappear but the pills might make it better. They're in that drawer," Sarang pointed somewhere at the corner of her room and Sehun nodded, standing up to
