"Sarang," Sehun yanked her by her hand and stopped her from reaching the stairs. "I'll talk to her first." "But–" Sarang started but was cut by Sehun. "Trust me, okay?" Sarang nodded hesitantly as she watched Sehun take slow steps down the stairs with his expression changed into a serious one. He wasn't smiling, neither did he have that twinkle in his brown orbs. His jaw was tightened and his eyebrows were arched upwards. Sarang felt like she was watching someone else as he climbed the stairs. "What brings you here, Sera-ssi?" Sehun asked in an uninterested tone that he often used in his workplace. Sera immediately got up from the couch, seeing him climb down the stairs ever so handsomely and she probably fell for him for the hundredth time right then. She softly smiled at him but she really wanted to show him her widest grin. "Sehun, Did you just wake up?" she chuckled seeing some strands sticking out of his hair and he looked a lot adorable. Sehun nodded without a change in his face. "I could've driven Sarang home." Sera sighed as she approached him, "I really came here for you. To see if everything's okay." "Why would things go wrong anyway? I took good care of your sister, you don't have to worry about that," Sehun explained with a poker face and how Sera wished he would at least help her with some expressions. He looked blank when ever she was around. "Where is Sarang, though?" Sera asked looking around the house. "Finally, you asked that. She's upstairs. You can go home by yourself, I 'll take her home myself." Sehun said while glancing upstairs and meeting eyes with Sarang who didn't apparently know why she was hiding from her own sister. Well, probably because Sehun said so. "But, I need to take her home with me," Sera started explaining. "Omma is worried about her and, and she needs to be home today–" "I'll call Mrs. Kim then. I'm pretty sure she'll gladly agree with Sarang staying here for some more hours." Sehun folded his arms in front of his chest impatiently. "But still," Sera insisted on taking her sister home. She couldn't apparently stand the fact that Sarang was the one spending time with him when it really should've been Sera in her place. "It's the same thing more or less. She needs to go home...I need to talk with her." "I'll call her downstairs. Talk here," Sehun suggested. "But she's not going with you." Sehun licked his lips out of habit but to Sera it was something else. Well, for most girls, the gesture was something else when it really was a habbit of his and he was tired of explaining where he got that from. Sehun softly called out to Sarang and she immediately came down in a second. "Unnie!" Sarang exclaimed, spreading her arms to engulf her sister into a hug. "I missed you." "Uh..me too," Sera said, hesitantly wrapping her arms around Sarang as if hugging her was the most awkward thing. Sehun noticed that and smirked to himself; he already knew what was going inside Sera's head by that little observation. Too bad, Sarang couldn't see that. "Let's sit and talk," Sarang said with a bright smile, leading Sera to the couch she was sitting on previously. Sarang sat adjacent to her and started asking her about what she had missed last night. Sehun took a seat beside her with a smile, which wasn't unnoticed by Sera. Her envy grew because, again, she should've been the one getting those sweet smiles and twinkling eyes. "We watched Harry Potter last night in Jae Unnie's room and I probably fell asleep while watching the movie," Sarang said, the smile never leaving her face. "So, you didn't sleep with him?" Sehun raised his eyebrow with a smirk when he heard that. Sera had plainly blurted out every thing that was going inside that head of hers. "The three of us watched the movie and then we fell asleep just like that. Nothing more, Unnie," Sarang explained when she saw how Sehun really wanted to open his mouth and answer the question her sister asked. She wanted both of them to get along when they really will become in-laws in some days. "Oh, who is this Jae Unnie?" "My elder sister. Oh Jaerin," Sehun said. A lady came into the room with a tray in her hands. The room was quiet the whole time she served the tea to Sera. "She'd be a very good sister to Sarang once we get married. It's not like she already isn't," Sehun added, glancing at Sarang for a while. "You know, Jae Unnie plays video games and she has a big collection of animated movies," Sarang continued. Sera had an uninterested look on her pretty face but Sarang was too occupied with her explanation to notice that. "Sera-ssi," Sehun started, "Didn't you want to talk with Sarangie?" He asked with a smirk. He knew very well that those were just excuses to take Sarang home. "Umm... yeah. I mean- just us," Sera said, nervously. Sarang took some time to process the information before looking sideways at Sehun who was already looking at her with an unreadable gaze. "I'll be okay," She whispered before grabbing his hand lightly and squeezing it and making his lips cuve into a shy smile as he nodded hesitantly. "You better," Sehun whispered back, noticing how Sera's eyebrows quirked upwards in question and her eyes screamed envy. He smirked before getting up and leaving the room. "What is it, Unnie?" Sarang asked as her eyes followed Sehun's all figure leaving the room. "How are you?" Sera asked with concern in her eyes; only if Sarang knew what was going inside her head and if she even cared for her sister or not. Sarang smiled widely at that. "Fine, why?" she asked. "You, know, you could've asked that without making Sehun go," she chuckled. "I know. But I want you to be honest with me. Isn't this marriage a burden, Sarang?" Sera said, stroking Sarang's hands softly as if she was worried about her well-being. "Well, not really. Do you think so? That this marriage is a burden?" Sarang asked with her innocent eyes looking at Sera. "Apparently, little one. Look, I want the best for you," Sera smirked inwardly; she was plainly lying and her little sister was too blind to see that. "I'm telling you, go and tell Sehun that you don't need him. He gave you a choice, right? Tell him it's a no." Sarang blinked at her elder sister, trying to find answers in her own mind. She was confused from the very start and her sister wasn't making it any better. Sehun had warned her about Sera's coaxing words and this was where she really needed Sehun by her side; to help her decide. Sarang didn't know whom to believe; she didn't know who was lying and who wasn't. If ever she had to choose between Sehun and her sister, it would be her sister definitely. She had spent her whole life by Sera's side and she knew her better than anybody, well, she thought so. "Think about it, okay?" Sera squeezed her hand lovingly and brushed the blonde strands away from her face with a smile. "Let's go home?" "I...Unnie, Sehun can drive me home later. I need to..." She trailed away with that troubled expression on her face. "Sort things out? Fine," Sera smirked, standing up from her seat. "Remember, it should be a no." Sarang reluctantly nodded. Sera smiled at her before saying her goodbyes and leaving the room.  Sehun immediately entered the living room when he caught a glance of Sera leaving the house. The girl had stopped to talk to him but he apathetically brushed away her words, taking long strides towards the room. Sera rolled her eyes and sighed at that before heading out. "What did she say?" Sehun asked, impatiently. "Unnie.." Sarang took time to create a proper sentence in her head before looking at him. His eyes were distracting her from lying to him. She wanted to tell him exactly everything her sister had wanted her to but those warm orbs were really hindering her from doing so. "She wanted me to think about the choices you gave me." "What do you mean?" Sehun mumbled. "Wait," he exclaimed after he realized what that line really meant. "You just agreed last week." "I know. But she says the marriage will be a burden for both of us; that we should think twice," Sarang said in a small voice. Sehun scratched the bridge of his nose, "You think so? C'mon, Sarang. You have nothing to think about. You made the right choice for yourself. Your sister doesn't have a say in any of this," he said, this time in a gentler tone. "I know. I'm not changing my decisions, Sehun." She softly smiled at the way he got so worked up when he heard that she was rethinking her decisions. "I think I can count on you." "Ofcourse," Sehun mumbled, sighing internally in relief, "I'll always be there for you. You don't have to worry about a thing." Sarang nodded, not knowing what to answer that with. They kept staring at each other in complete silence and Sarang could guess a bright blush had taken over the pale colour of her cheeks. She looked away first immediately down at her fingers that she didn't know had gotten entangled with Sehun's warm one. She didn't know what she was feeling; a strange kind of emotion that she never felt before. She had heard from her sister about butterflies in the tummy and she was feeling something really similiar to that. "Would you mind if I..." Sehun broke the silence but trailed off in the end with a sigh. "Nevermind." "What is it?" Sarang asked in a soft voice looking at him looking away from her with slightly red cheeks. "If I..if I kiss you right now?" Sehun asked her eventually and he could bet he had never asked a single girl that question. He wasn't used to taking permissions before doing anything but, then again, Sarang was different from all of those 'girls'. He didn't want to look at her; he didn't want to see her reaction because he really was proving himself to be desperate. He could've already kissed her last night if it wasn't for his beloved sister. Sehun had always restrained himself from strangling Jaerin most of the time and he regretted his choices of not murdering her already. "Huh?" Sarang responded, trying to process his words inside her head. "I.." "Okay, you would mind," Sehun mumbled to himself, scratching his nape nervously with his free hand. Sarang was still staring at him, making him feel more embarrassed about what he had said. Sarang softly chuckled, seeing the shy boy do things to make himself more adorable without his own knowledge. She felt like she was in highschool all over again; crushing on ra
