30 DAYS, 29 NIGHTS (PT.2)Day: ElevenLocation: Koblenz Aerial Cable Car, Cologne, GermanyTaemin and Naeun thought that they should finally take their love of ferris wheels to another level by going on the largest cable car tramway in the world. Stretching all the way from Konrad-Adenaeuer-Ufer to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, you could see the cityscape from a bird’s eye view as well as the history of the Rhine.Naeun began to hit Taemin from her excitement and she got up from her position in her husband’s arms to peer through the glass walls of the car.“Naeun-ah, if you keep doing that, the car will rock. Who knows, our weight, plus you moving will cause the line to break and we die…”She went back to her seat and then hit him again.“Yah! Don’t make those kinds of jokes!”“Mian…this is supposed to be romantic but you keep looking outside.”“Isn’t that the point of coming here? To look at the scenery?”“The point of our honeymoon is so that you can continue to look at my handsome face. The scenery is just a bonus…”Naeun playfully swatted away his face.“I see you way too much…I think I’m starting to regret going on a 30 day honeymoon with you…”Taemin pouted and then placed a surprise kiss on her lips. She hit his chest.“Yah!”“I was starting to feel sad…remember we said that there was to be no sadness during our honeymoon?”“Ahrasso.”“Are you really sick of looking at my face?”“Ani. I’m happy every morning that I get to wake up and see your face and happy every night when I go to bed and you are the last person that I see…”“Nado. The scenery is definitely just the bonus.”----////----Day: TwelveLocation: Romantic Road (Barana), German Scenic Drive, GermanyWhen Naeun woke up that morning, she found that Taemin was not beside her. She shot up and saw her clothes laid out and a note saying that she should get dressed and meet Taemin outside. Without question, she took a quick shower and put on the clothes that he laid out and went to the lobby. She found him leaning against one of the columns, one hand in his pocket and when he saw her lifted his left hand to dangle some keys. Naeun skipped happily over to him and took his hand.“Where are we going today, Oppa?”“We are going on your favourite type of date?”“What’s that?”“You and me, together, going on a long romantic drive…”“What about breakfast?”“Breakfast on the road…are you up for it?”“Gaja!”He opened the door for her and then ran to the driver’s seat so that he could strap her in. Years o practice has made him smooth and suave with his actions. Before he strapped himself in, he reached for the backseat and brought out a small bag.“Breakfast is served, m’lady…”She opened the bag and found a thermos containing steamed rice, kimchi, egg and beef.“Oppa! You made this?”“Eo!”“When?”“Can’t you just enjoy breakfast?”“Ahrasso…”She took a bite and displayed her reaction to it by giving him a kiss on the cheek.“Masisseo…My husband has gotten better at cooking…”----////----Day: ThirteenLocation: Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany“Naeun-ah…do you know what this castle is famous for?”“Mwolla…”Taemin just nodded and grabbed her hand so that they could keep up with the tour that was currently ongoing. However, Naeun remained firm and planted to the ground, pulling back Taemin.“Aren’t you going to tell me?”“Later. I can’t tell you. I have to show it to you. Palli! We’ll get left behind, lost and then possibly trapped in here forever!”He pulled her along with him, and they managed to catch up to the tour, behind the crowd of people who were hanging onto the guide’s every word. Taemin and Naeun were like little kids in a field trip, not really paying attention to the information, but lost in their own world and admiring the scenery instead of trying to learn about something. When the tour was over, Naeun was still waiting for her answer. People were either still looking at its interiors, or in the gift shop.“Oppa…can you tell me now?”“Ahrasso…follow me…”They went into a corner, where they made sure that there weren’t any people or any security cameras. He lightly pushed her against the wall and whispered into her ear.“Close your eyes…as if you were asleep…”When she did so, Taemin inched his face closer and closer to hers, to the point where he could hear her breathing, and their breaths intermingled with each other. He lightly pressed his lips on hers, which made her eyes flutter open.“What was the kiss for?”“I told you that I would show you what this castle was famous for.”“Kissing?”“Ani. This castle inspired ‘Sleeping Beauty’. What better to wake up my beauty than to kiss her on the lips?”“What better way to wake up than to be kissed by your own prince charming?”“I promise I’ll wake you up like that everyday…”“I look forward to waking up every morning then…”----////----Day: FourteenLocation: Zurich Zoo, Switzerland“Ahhh…they’re so cute!”“Not as cute and adorable as my Naeun-ie…”“Oppa, can’t you be serious for at least one second?”“Not when I’m around you…you’re so sexy when you’re trying to be all mad at me…”“Aish…”“Please don’t be mad anymore…”Naeun couldn’t help it. She gave in to her husband way too easily.“Okay. I’ll forgive you. But please, pay attention!”“Ahrasso…”Taemin placed his hand on her back and continued to guide her through the zoo. They went over to see the penguins that were waddling, the flamingos who formed hearts by craning their necks, the lions resting upon their rock and yawning, the tigers who were lazing about, the elephants ambling slowly and eating, and basically every animal attraction at the zoo, taking photos as they went. They successfully toured the entire zoo in about three hours.When they got back to the hotel, Taemin made a big show about how tired he was by kicking off his shoes and laying down on the bed and closing his eyes. Naeun, however, was not tired and jumped into bed next to him and tried to wake him up. She nudged him on his stomach but he rolled over. She poked him on his side, but he rolled over again. When she gave him a peck, he resurrected from the bed, like a mummy springing to life from his sarcophagus.“I’m up! What do you need from me, buin? And how can you not be tired?”“I just have a lot of energy unlike someone who’s getting older. And I wanted to show you something.”“I take offense to what you said. Besides, I’m only one year older. If I’m old, you’re old too!”“Quit whining, old man! Look!”She took out the camera and they lay down on the bed, their heads stuck together, while Taemin had his arms extended above them, clicking through the photographs.“Wahhh…the penguins are so cute!”“What about me?”“Mehhh…you look fine.”Taemin shot out of bed and pretended to waddle like a penguin.“Do I look cute now?”“Not really. But maybe you could try another animal pose.”“What animal do you want me to act out next?”“Flamingo!”Taemin tried to, but when he lifted up his leg and arched his head to make half a heart, he tripped and fell on the floor.“Ani! That doesn’t suit you, Oppa. Elephant?”Taemin put his arm in front of him as Naeun got up from her seat and made him do the elephant pose properly. She started to spin him around, so that when he tried to walk he fell on the floor. Naeun clapped her hands as she burst into laughter.“I’m going to be a lion now! Naeun needs to be punished!”He sprung forward as she hopped onto the bed and ducked under the covers. He followed after her and soon he had her pegged beneath him with his arms and legs.“Got you…”“Please, spare my life…”“I don’t think I can…”He leaned in, and she closed her eyes. He pulled away, but she reacted quickly and wrapped her arms around his neck.“Don’t try and escape me…”“I would never…”“Kiss me…”And he did as he was told.----////----Day: FifteenLocation: Lake Geneva, SwitzerlandIt was night time at Lake Geneva, and the moonlight was hitting the water in an angle, that reflected its light. Taemin and Naeun sat on the grass, overlooking that water. If there was something that both of them enjoyed, it would definitely be moonlight dates. Taemin had put his jacket down, so that Naeun could sit on something. She was leaning into him, and he rested his head on top of hers. When it became really dark, Naeun suggested that they leave and return to their hotel, but Taemin locked her in his arms, so she couldn’t get up.He shuffled around and retrieved his bag. He pulled out a bunch of sparklers.“Where did you get this?”“I bought them. Don’t ask. Let’s just have fun.”He gave one to her and then pulled out a lighter. He lit hers first and she squealed with delight. She began to run around like a little kid and he pulled out the camera and took some shots of her. When the light extinguished, he lit his sparkler up and did the same as her while she took some shots of him.“Oppa, try and write a word and I’ll take photos of it.”“What word?”“Something you want to tell me?”사랑“Saranghae?”“Eung. Your turn.”I <3 U“Let’s do one together. Just set the camera onto multiple capture.”“What do you want to write?”“Heart?”“Geurae.”They finished taking photos and were proud of their work. They were walking back to their hotel when a thought popped into Taemin’s head.“Naeun-ah…gogi…”“Huh? You’re hungry? You want to eat meat?”“No. Gogi. Remember? Our couple ring. The one I got for silver day?”“Ah…gogi…it came true.”“고. Go wherever with you.”“기. Give you my heart forever.”“Mhhhmmmm…gogi…”“Ahrasso…I get it…”“No. Talking about gogi makes me hungry…let’s go eat?”“Gaja!”----////----Day: SixteenLocation: Basel Market, SwitzerlandThey had been strolling through the market, and admiring all the little things that were being sold, from socks, to tea and coffee, to some fruits and vegetables. The Basel Market had all these quaint little stalls and shops, as well as a nice atmosphere and beautiful olden day scenery. A candle stall had caught Naeun’s eye and she was in the midst of purchasing one when, Taemin kissed her cheek, whispered that he needed to buy something, and then left. Naeun bought the lavender scented candle and waited for Taemin by the stall. He came back a few minutes later, but he had nothing in his hands.“Where did you go?”“Something had caught my eye and I had to go and buy it.”“Where is it?”“I’ll show you later.”“Show me now? You’ve got my interest.”“Later. When we’re in bed at the hotel.”Naeun’s eyes went wide, and then hit Taemin’s shoulder, blushed and ran off. It didn’t take long for him to register what was going on an catch her.“Hey! Why did you run?”“What did you buy, that it requires us alone, on a bed, at our hotel?”Taemin thought she looked adorable assuming that he bought something sexually suggestive, but he decided to play dumb.“I don’t know what you are talking about.”“Oppa!”“Alright, I’ll tell you.”“It’s something to do with…love.”“You’re so dirty-minded!”“What? Love is ‘dirty’?”She blushed, and he laughed at her.“No. But what you’re thinking about is dirty…”“Hey! You don’t even know what I’m thinking about!”“I do! You said so yourself!”“I just said that I bought something to do with love…”“No! Show me what you bought!”“Not until you tell me what’s on your mind!”“Was it something to do with making love?”Taemin laughed at her so hard that he bent over and couldn’t catch his breath.“Yah! Why are you laughing? This isn’t a laughing matter!”“Ahhhh…my wife is so cute…”“Will you show me what you bought then?”She put both her hands out and pouted. He put the tiny bottle in her palm, and she took it and examined it.“Love potion?”“Yep. Apparently, if you drink it, you’ll have eternal love with the person you drink it with.”“Ohhh…we don’t need that though, I’m pretty sure that we’ll be in love with each other forever. But, if you really want to, then I’ll drink it with you.”“Who says I was planning to drink it with you?”Taemin winked at her and she hit his chest.“Let’s go back to the hotel…”She began to lead the way to catch a taxi, but Taemin stayed put and stopped Naeun. He whispered in her ear, which made her blush. “It’s nice to know that you think about making love to me though…”He left her in her spot dumbfounded, as he went ahead to call for a taxi. He turned around and saw that she was still in her spot, red with embarrassment. He smirked and then extended his hand.“Are you coming, or what?”----////----Day: SeventeenLocation: Alcazar, Spain“Do you really like taking me to castles?”“Wae? You don’t like the history of them?”“Ani. I’m just wondering…”“Mwo?”“Is your dream to become a king or something?”“Wae?”“Your eyes light up when you see castles and royalty…”“Castles are pretty…besides…you’re a princess, it’s only fitting you go to castles…”“Eyyy…”“I’m serious…Princess Naeun…”“It sounds pretty good, right?”“Prince Taemin…”“Nope. That doesn’t fit…”“King Taemin?”“Even worse…”Naeun pretended to think, which made Taemin smile his infamous cheek-popping smile.“I got it! Jester Taemin!”“What?”“Yup. With that smile of yours, you definitely look like a jester!”“A jester in the royal princess’s court?”“Uh huh…”“As long as the princess fall for the jester, then I’m good with that…”“She does more than fall in love with him…”“What happens?”“She marries him…and they rule over the kingdom together…”“Happy ending?”“Happy ending.”----////----Day: EighteenLocation: La Seu Cathedral, Barcelona, SpainAs a unique experience, Taemin and Naeun decided to do a treasure hunt around Barcelona. The winners would be given their very own special bottle of cava, as well as the experience of sightseeing the streets of Spain. The starting point was at La Seu Cathedral, a very gothic style church, where they were given a map, compass and clue book.“Let’s go this way…”“Shouldn’t we follow the other team?”“No. We need to go our own way.”They ended up wandering the streets for hours, not even able to solve one of the puzzles. In the end, they ended up going back to their starting point to return the map, compass and clue book. They went home and Naeun was slightly disappointed.“Mianhae…”“It’s alright…it was fun though…”“You can admit that you hated it…”“No…it was fun…”“Sure?”“Of course. It was fun watching you interpret a map, realise you couldn’t understand it and then attempt asking the locals how to find places with broken English and hand gestures…”“Well, it’s not like you helped me!”“I wanted to let you lead the way…besides…you were pretty funny…you looked like one of those dancing traffic officers we saw in the Philippines…”“I’ll make it up to you…”“Oppa, it’s fine…it was a good day.”“Well, if you say so…it was definitely a great day…”“Since we made it back to the hotel without getting lost any further, I will agree with that. It was a great day.”----////----Day: NineteenLocation: Penedes Wine Region, Spain“Let’s make our own cava.”“What?”“I felt bad for getting us lost yesterday and not winning, so I decided that we should make our own bottle to make up for the one we lost yesterday.”“We don’t have to…”“I’ll turn the car back around?”“Ani!”“Guerae…let’s just enjoy today…”“Hmmm…I don’t think it would be as fun as making our own wine…”“Ahhh…I remember that day…our Spain-themed camping trip…”“Those were the good days, right?”“And right now isn’t a good day?”“I meant that…never mind…I don’t even know how I was going to finish that sentence.”“You were right. Those were good days. Getting to know you every time we met up, even if it was just for show, was something really special…I’m glad that you fully opened up your heart to me…”She just nodded along with what Taemin said, and then focused on the scenery outside. They got to the venue and tried the various flavours that they could use. Then, they decided on the taste they wanted and made their own bottle along with a few other couples who had also taken the trip there. When they finished, all they had to do was name their bottle.“What should we name it?”“I don’t know…”“Memories?”“Ooohhhh…memories…joha!”“Call!”They were driving back to their hotel with their new bottle when a thought crossed Naeun’s mind.“Oppa…before, you said that you were glad that I opened my heart to you, right?”“Yeah…”“Well, I’m glad that you were an Oh.Sa.Bba…”“Ahhh…Ohsabba…man that loves for a long time?”“Ne…”“How about…man that loves Naeun-ie forever?”“I like that one even better…”----////----Day: TwentyLocation: Sagrada Family CathedralNaeun and Taemin were climbing to the top of the cathedral.“Why’s it so high?”“Apparently, so that it would reach the heavens and then the angels could see it.”“It’s beautiful.”“It’s a magnificent place…”When they reached the top, both of them were exhausted, but happy.“I’m glad we made it here…”“Me too…”“I think that we can climb a mountain now!”“Really? Okay, you can go and I’ll meet you back at the hotel…”She hit him, but realised that they should be more reverend. They came back down, and lit one of the candles and prayed.“What did you pray for?”“I didn’t pray for anything…I was just thankful that I got to visit this place with you…How about you?”“I said the exact same thing…”
