the list: the one where t (1/1)
"Ah Yudings, come on, let me win just one round." Minju whines for the fifth time when she once again lost at her and Yujin's mini Nintendo match. It's been days since they've got back from that slightly eventful three day camping trip and now Minju only has 2 days left before her big audition. In line with that, she won't stop panicking about it and kept going through her script over and over again. That is when Yujin suddenly sent her a message saying she was waiting at the front of her house. And that is how Minju found herself at the Yoo Residence, inside Yoo Yujin's room, begging for the taller to let her win one round of their match. "Min-ah, it's very easy, you can do it." she encouraged her but was teasing her at the same time. "Easy for you to say, you've played this tons of times!" Minju scoffed at the taller's words. "Still doesn't make sense." Yoo Yujin shrugged making Minju pout. "Fine, you can choose the next game." True to that, Yujin did let Minju choose the next game. It was simple and easy to play, though Yujin lost multiple times. The reason behind it, you may ask? It's because she was too busy admiring Minju while she was playing and would ocassionaly scrunch her nose when she's close to victory. Yujin finds that scene cute. Yoo Yujin is known among her friends to be competitive and doesn't lose easily. Let it be on a one on one soccer match, or a simple video game, she doesn't easily lose. However, when it comes to Chou Minju, she's willing to make an exception. She doesn't mind losing really, as long as it's her. (A/N: * = change P.O.V) * It was finally time for the callbacks, Minju's nervous as heck. She wishes she'll get this part. Despite being nervous, with the support of everyone who loves and cares for her is enough for her to do this without making a mistake. Her sister promised to watched. And that's the first time she said that. Eunbi will watching along with Hyewon also, her friends are there, her parents wished her good luck before they left, and of course, there's Yoo Yujin, who was there supporting for her even during her practices. Yoo Yujin, who would suddenly call in the middle of the night while she's practicing her script just so she could help Minju run her lines. Yoo Yujin, who would never fail to cheer her up. Yoo Yujin, who would always pass by the auditorium from time to time just to give her jellies. Yoo Yujin, who's always there for her. Minju knows. She remembered what Yujin said, about scoring her goal. About fitting that list. But in Minju's opinion, Yujin doesn't need to fit the list. In fact, to tell you the truth, she even exceeded it. Yoo Yujin exceeded the list. She was lost in her thoughts when Sakura, who was sitting beside her, called her. "Hey, Minju. Minju." She snapped out from it and faced the older almost abruptly, "Yes unnie?" "Are you okay? You were spacing out just now." the Theater Club President pointed out. "Are you nervous?" "A bit." she answered honestly. "But I'll be fine." The older nodded. "But unnie, why did you call me?" "Oh, your phone's been ringing like crazy since earlier. I think you have call." She checked her phone and saw Yujin calling her. Minju quickly excused herself from the older and went to less noisy place. She cleared her throat first before answering the call. "Hey, why did you call?" "Just wanted to wish you good luck before it starts." Minju just knows the taller is grinning widely right. She chuckled at the thought. "Silly. You can wish me luck when you're here." "Yeah about that, Hyewon is on her way there, she's with the others." "Oh? How about you?" "I went to the snack bar to buy a little something. But don't worry, I'll make it there before it starts." "Everyone, we're on in 5!" Lia announced, alerting Minju. "Okay. Yudings I need to go now, we're on in 5." "Okay, I'm on my way." Minju went back to her place earlier, waiting for it start. When finally it was her turn, she saw the most precious people seated together, waving at her. Although, her yes wondered, seemingly looking for a specific tall jock. Yoo Yujin, where are you? Just then, there she saw Yoo Yujin, standing tall among the crowd in the back, happily waving at Minju with the jellies on her hand. Because of this, the latter giggles to herself and started her performance. - After everyone had their turns, they all felt twice as nervous since it was announced that the results would be given momentarily. Honestly, Minju can no longer concentrate. She's just too nervous right now. "Okay, the results have been gathered. I hope everyone is ready." Sakura lets them know. There it goes. Several roles have been confirmed, and thankfully the role Minju auditoned for was still unannounced. She thinks she has a chance. "For the role of Jung Hye Jin, Chou Minju! Congratulations!" It felt like a dream. It was unbelievable. I got the part? I really did? Me? Chou Minju? "That's about it everyone. To the confirmed cast, may we call you up front please?" Although hesitant, Minju still complied and went up front together with the other cast members. She was standing beside Yeji who was now congratulating her. "Congratulations, Minju. I knew you'd get the part." the senior smile genuinely. "T-Thank you, sunbae." she replies shyly. "I look forward to working with you." "And I too am looking forward to working with you, Jung Hyejin-ssi." They both chuckled when Sakura got their attention. "Congratulations everyone for making the final cut. Please be reminded that the spring musical is the last play for this school year so we need to give our all. Lia will be giving further instructions to you guys since I still have classes to attend right now. Again, congratulations everyone." "Bye, unnie." Lia waved goodbye as the other bowed to her when she left. "Okay everyone. Scripts will be given next week and practice will be held two days after the script is given, everyone is required to study their lines. And also, to remind everyone, tardiness is not a thing in the world of theater, so I'm hoping we avoid such thing to happen. Lastly, Ryujin will be having a separate practice with our two leads every free period. Hyejin-ssi, Seyeon-ssi, please be ready. So far, that's all. You all are dismissed. Congratulations again to everyone." When she got off stage, Minju was immediately by her friends who engulfed in a big warm hug. "Congratulations, Minju-ya! Uri beloved Jung Hye Jin!" "Woot! Woot! Congratulations, Chou Minju!" She laughed at how loud her friends are being right now. But either way, she doen't mind. She's just as happy as they are. Hyewon then made her way towards her and gave her a hug, giving her head soft pats. "Congratulations, dongsaeng-ah. Unnie is proud of you." the older said as she let go of the hug. Minju's face softened at this, "Thank you, unnie. It means a lot to me that you went here to watch my callbacks." "Of course. I had to support my one and only sister." they chuckled. "By the way, I've told Mom and Mama about the good news, they said we're going out to eat dinner todaty." "Unnie, you didn't have to. Tell Mom and Mama we could just eat at home." "Nonsense, we need to celebrate this big achievement of yours." she ruffled her sister's hair and face the others. "Mom told me to invite you guys also. The more the merrier." They all cheered and kept praising Minju when they noticed Yujin and Minju giving subtle glances at each other. Hyewon gave her friends a knowing look and they all collectively nodded their heads. "Uh, Min, I hate to say this but we need to go to the field, Coach Kang has something for us." Hyewon announces and looks at her sister apologetically. "Oh no, it's fine unnie. I'll see you later." "Min we have to go too, Mrs. Yang called for the three of us." Nako says, the other two now nodding their heads in agreement. "Oh, okay. I'll see you guys back in the classroom." The three left first as the other four was about to as well, Yujin trailing behind them. Chaewon notices this and stops. "Woah there buddy, where do you think you're going?" Oblivious, Yujin answers. "With you guys, Didn't you say Coach Kang has something for us." "Yeah. Us." the older says, pointing at the four of them. "Oh? What will I be doing then?" "I don't know, Go nuts. Enjoy what's left of free period. You choose." "We'll leave now. Congrats again, Minju." Yujin was left there standing while looking at their figures that are slowly fading away from her sight. She pouted at the sight of her friends walking away but immediately remembered something. Right! Minju's here! "Ya, what's with the face?" the latter laughs at her. "Nothing." she smiles and hands her the pack of jellies she bought at the snack bar earlier. "Here. Congratulations on getting that part." "Is this what you bought when you were in the snack bar earlier?" The taller shrugged, and in the cutest way possible if I may add. "Maybe?" They both laugh at this. Yujin looks around the auditorium only to see that they're the only one's left. Much to her shock, Minju suddenly pulled her out of the auditorium. And before she knew it, they were already running in the empty hallways. "Where are we going? Free period's almost over." "We have 30 mins, let's get some fresh air." - "Here?" Yujin asked in disbelief when they reached their destination. "Yes. Do you have a problem with it?" Minju raised her eyebrrows, "As you can see and feel, there's a lot of fresh air." "Of course, it's the rooftop." she answers sarcastically, making Minju roll her eyes. She then proceeds to look at the view, enjoying the fresh air that's surrounding them. Minju closed her eyes, completely enjoying it. "Looks like you're enjoying this." she opened her eyes again only to find Yujin looking at her with a warm smile. "Yeah, I really am. I needed this. Especially after that rough week of endless practicing for this." "Look on the bright side, now you you got the role!" "Yeah." she smiled, tiredness evident on her face. "Come here." Yujin pulled her into a warm hug, letting Minju's head rest on her chest. "You did well, Miju-ya, and we're all proud of you for getting that part." "Gomawo, Yudings. And thank you for always running my lines with me." "I'm glad to be of help." They stayed in that position for awhile before Yujin broke the hug, placing both her hands on the other girls shoulder. "Minju." "Hm?" she hummed in response. Without fair warning, Yoo Yujin stood closer to her, bending her knees a bit for them to level with each other, their face too close. "Y-Ya, Yoo Yujin, w-what are you doing?" Minju asks, flustered at the close proximity they now have. Still, despite this, Yujin still didn't move her face away. She inched closer, and closer, until there were only a few meters left. She continues to inch closer to the latter, making Minju close her eyes, slightly expecting. But, after a few seconds when nothing happened, she opened her eyes only to see Yujin looking at her weirdly. "Why were your eyes closed just now?" "I-uh-" she panicked and tried to masked it with an annoyed expression. "Ya! Why are you so close to me huh?" "I asked first but oh well, a leaf landed on your hair, had to pick it up." "I-Is that so? I t-thought." she trailed off and looked away, embarrassed. "You thought what?" "Nothing!" she moved away from Yujin and covered her face using her hair. "Ah come on Minju, tell me." "It was nothing!" "Ah~ I bet it's something. Come on, tell me." she insisted and kept pestering the other. Minju grew annoyed from all the pestering and had enough of it. "Pabo-ya! I thought you were gonna kiss me!" "What?" Yujin asks with a hint of amusement. "Ah! Forget it!" "You thought I was gonna kiss you?" Okay now Yujin's laughing. "Aish! I said forget it!" she exclaimed, visibly annoyed yet Yoo Yujin still won't stop. "You're annoying. That's it, I'm leaving. You go back on your own." She walked off and was getting closer to the rooftop's entrance when a hand pulled her, causing for her to almost lose balance. But thankfully, Yujin was able to stop that from happening. However, the way she stopped it utterly made Minju shocked and unable to move on her place right now. Minju now finds herself in a REALLY close proximity with Yoo Yujin, their bodies close to each other, and their lips touching with one another. Out of panic, she quickly pushed Yujin away but what surprised her is that the taller grabbed her, pulling her closer, and once again, pressing her lips onto Minju's. Intentional this time. They just kissed, and Minju doesn't know how to react. But one thing's for sure, she's going nuts because of this. And to be honest, Yujin's not any different. Oh my goodness. - Sorry if there are any grammatical/spelling errors/typos, I wasn't able to properly proofread this. And also, sorry if it took a while to post another chapter. My right hand got burnt and it's hard to write (type) since my right hand is my good one. Regardless of that, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and let me know your thoughts and/or suggestions if you have any. Happy holidays, everyone! -12
