It was a Saturday morning, and Marie was sitting on her bed. It was about 8 am. She was reading a book peacefully, until her parents stormed in.“We need you out of the house for today” her father announced.“W-why?” Marie whimpered.“Do not question your parents!” her mother yelled.“We are having friends over today and we don’t want you around” her father explained.“You have 45 minutes to leave and you can come back at 10 pm” he continued.“Understood?” Marie nodded.“Yes mother. Yes father” she said carefully. Her father gave her some money. Her parents then left her bedroom. Marie sighed. What am I supposed to do for an entire day all alone? She thought to herself. Then she had an idea. She took her super old cell phone, which she had had since she was ten, and dialed Jeesu’s number. Quickly she heard an answer from the other end of the line.“Hello?”“Hello, Jeesu-shhi. It’s Marie here.”“Oh, Marie-shhi! How are you?” Jeesu said with happy but groggy voice.“Oh, I’m fine. Did I wake you up?” Jeesu laughed.“Oh no, not at all. What can I do for you miss Marie?”“Well, I was just thinking… My parents have something to do today so I was hoping maybe you would like to hang out with me?” Marie asked carefully.“Absolutely!” Jeesu said cheerfully.“Do you want to meet my other friends too?” Marie bit her lip. She wanted to meet them, but she was nervous.“I’d love to” she finally answered.“Great! Maybe we’ll meet you at the mall in about an hour?” Jeesu suggested. Marie smiled to herself.“Sure thing, Jeesu-shhi.”“Great. See you there, Marie-shhi!”“Yes. Bye bye!”“Oh, and Marie?” Jeesu cooed.“Yes?”“Please, call me oppa” As Jeesu said those words, Marie could only smile.“Yes, oppa” she said before they hung up. Marie quickly stood up and went to find something nice to wear. Since she loved wearing dresses, she put on a white dress with pink flowers on the bottom. She also put on a grey cardigan and white tennis shoes. She quickly curled her hair and tied her blue ribbon into it. She looked in the mirror one last time before grabbing her bag and walking out the door.∼Jeesu put the phone down and ran to the corridor. Everyone else was still fast asleep.“GET UP, PEOPLE, WE HAVE THINGS TO DO!” he yelled as loud as he could. No one seemed to respond. Jeesu decided to try again.“GET UP! WE NEED TO BE SOMEWHERE IN AN HOUR, LAZY-ASS PEOPLE!” Soon Inati’s room’s door opened. Inati stepped out with his eyes still half closed.“What. The. Hell” he growled. Jeesu smiled.“Good morning, hyung. Today you guys will meet my new friend” he said. Inati shook his head.“Why do we have to meet your friends so early? If he’s anything like you, we’ll have a hard time” Daniel joined to the conversation. He looked really tired too, but he was smiling. Jeesu rocked himself back and forth on his heels.“First of all, that was really rude. And second of all, SHE is really nice. Why don’t you ask Simon-hyung?” The looks on Daniel’s and Inati’s faces immediately changed.“A girl? Your friend is a girl?” Daniel asked in shock. Jeesu nodded. Daniel and Inati looked at each other. Then Daniel ran to DongLim’s bedroom, and Inati ran to wake up Simon. Jeesu was pleased with himself. He decided to go make himself some breakfast.∼An hour later, Marie was sitting on a bench in the mall. She was reading a book that she used to carry around. Suddenly she felt someone tapping her shoulder.“Marie-shhi!” Jeesu said happily. Marie smiled and stood up.“Oppa!” she squealed. Jeesu gave her a hug, which really surprised Marie. She knew that Koreans weren’t really fond of skinship. (AN: I love that word lol) However, she returned the hug. It felt really nice. Mostly because no one had hugged her for years. Simon cleared his throat. Marie and Jeesu let go of each other.“Hello Simon-shhi” Marie bowed at him. Simon smiled.“Hello” he replied, also giving her a small hug. Marie saw three other guys standing behind them, smiling uncomfortably.“So, guys, this is Marie. Marie, this is Inati, Daniel, and the little one is DongLim” Jeesu smirked, getting a glare from DongLim.“Hello” Marie bowed shyly. Daniel, Inati and DongLim bowed at her too.“Hello” they said unison.“And just for the record, I’m not the little one” DongLim added, making everyone laugh. Inati kept on looking at Marie. Soon his eyes widened.“Hey, you’re the girl from the park!” he shouted. Everyone turned to look at him, puzzled.“I mean, I saw you at the park some nights ago” he explained. Marie smiled.“Oh, that’s right!” she replied. Then there was an awkward silence.“So, what should we do today?” Daniel asked, breaking the silence. Marie shrugged.“Oh, I know! Let’s go to a museum! There’s one I have always wanted to go to but these grumpies never wanted to join me” Jeesu said to Marie. She nodded. Everyone else growled.“Sounds great!”“Come, you heard the lady. Let’s go!” Jeesu said and started to push everyone out of the mall.Hours later, when they had been to the museum and done some shopping, everyone was starving. They were walking along a busy street.“I want food!” DongLim announced.“Me too. What should we eat?” Marie started to walk backwards in front of the boys.“You’re the girl. You decide” Daniel smiled. Marie sighed.“As chivalrous as that is… I don’t care. You decide. I’ll eat anything”“Anything?” Inati cocked his eyebrow.“Yes, anything. Except really spicy foods. But I eat pretty much everything else. I looove eating!”“That is hard to believe. You’re such a small girl” Daniel said.“You know, not offense” he added, ashamed.“Non taken! I eat a lot but I also exercise. I usually run to places. I think Jeesu can confirm that” Marie laughed. Jeesu smirked.“Indeed she does. Marie-shhi, please stop walking backwards. You might hit something” Jeesu said concerned. Marie started to walk faster. Inati smiled at how she didn’t listen to Jeesu. Just as she was about hit a concrete block, and the boys were about to yell ‘AAAH’ Marie turned around and jumped over the block. Jeesu’s jaw dropped, and everyone else let out a small ‘phew.’ Marie stood behind the block and smiled.“Jeesu-oppa, you look funny when you’re concerned” she said softly.“The rest of you too.”
