”So, Marie-shhi, tell us something about yourself” Inati told Marie when they were having dinner. Marie swallowed the food she was chewing.“There’s not that much to tell…” she mumbled.“Well, you can start by telling how you ended up in South-Korea. I mean, you can’t be originally Korean. You know, you don’t look Korean. You’re very pretty though.” Daniel rambled until Jeesu nudged him.“Shut up, Daniel-shhi” he requested.“Yeah” Daniel agreed. Marie smiled.“Thanks, Daniel? Anyway, I was born in the States. We moved here when I was eight” she said.“I used to live in the States too! Where did you live?” Daniel asked cheerfully.“New York.” Before Daniel could answer, DongLim interrupted.“It’s just you and your parents?” He asked carefully. Marie nodded.“What about your other relatives? Grandparents?” Simon asked.“Grandparents live in the States. I don’t really know any of my other relatives” Marie answered awkwardly.“So you don’t know a whole lot of people here?” Jeesu questioned, noticing that Marie was getting uncomfortable. She shook her head.“Just my parents. Some people from school. And, well, now I also know you” Marie smiled weakly. Daniel laughed.“You’re damn lucky to know us. Especially me, since I’m awesome” Daniel said jokingly, and wrapped his arm around Marie’s shoulders. Marie laughed and removed Daniel’s arm.“Good to know” she smirked.“Uhh… Marie, what kind of music do you listen to?” Jeesu asked her. All of the boys glared at him.“Well, I like Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, The Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, My Chemical Romance, this German artist called Cro…” she listed.“So, no kpop?” Simon asked in slight shock. Marie shook her head.“I never really got to explore the huge world of kpop” she explained. Simon looked at the boys.“Should we tell her?” he mouthed to them. Daniel and Inati nodded and Jeesu and DongLim shook their heads. Simon turned back Marie.“You know, Marie, we are actually a kpop group” he told. Marie looked at him, then the rest of them.“Well, that’s not hard to believe. You guys are very good-looking and suit well for an idol” the boys smirked. Marie realized what she had said.“Uh.. I meant that you look very idol-like. Are you guys any good?”“Are we any good?! Guys, let’s show her! One, two, three, don’t wanna be lonely…” he started singing, but Inati shut him up.“Not here, you idiot.  We’ll show you later, Marie-shhi”“Okay, Inati-oppa” Marie said smiling.“Sorry, I meant Inati-shhi” she blushed and apologized. Inati smiled.“It’s fine. I’ve noticed that you already call Jeesu oppa. You can call me oppa too.” Daniel lifted his head up.“Me too” he said.“Me too” Simon cooed.“Me too” DongLim added.∼“We should probably head home. It’s already like 10 pm” Simon said while looking at his watch.“Come, Marie, we’ll drive you home” he continued.“No, thank you, I’ll walk. It’s a beautiful night” she bowed and started to walk to the opposite direction. Jeesu grabbed her arm.“Then, we’ll walk you home. This is no time for a young lady to be walking home alone” he said firmly.“You don’t have to, I’ll be fine. I promise.”“We can’t let you go alone” Daniel said and linked his arm with Maries.“If you insist” she smiled and let the boys lead the way.As they were about to arrive at her house, she heard some loud yelling. She realized it was coming from her house. Her eyes widened in shock.“Wow, someone is having a fight!” Jeesu laughed. Marie laughed quietly. She had to come up with a plan. Luckily, not far from her house was a small block of flats. She stopped right in front of it.“Well, this is my house” she said unsurely. The boys smiled.“It was nice meeting you, Marie-shhi” Daniel said and gave her a hug.“You too. All of you.”“The next time we hang out, you should come to our place. We’ll watch our music videos” DongLim said shyly from behind Inati.“Yes, I would like that” Marie tried to make eye contact with DongLim, but he was too shy.“Thanks for keeping me company. I had a lot of fun today” Marie bowed. The boys bowed back at her.“I’m glad you did. We did, too” Inati said and gave her a warm hug. They gave her individual hugs, even DongLim. Then, they waved goodbye to each other, and Marie ran inside the building. When she was sure that they were out of sight, she ran to her real house and opened the door in fear. FIFTH CHAPTER ^^ YAY!
