27 April 9:30AM PST/1:30AM KSTA muffled almost inaudible groan could be heard on the receiving end of the phone call, “hello?”“LULU! GUESS WHAT?”“Yah Mei, do you have any idea what time it is right now?” Lulu asked in a peeved tone.“It’s 9:30 in the morning silly,” Mei teased.“I meant in Seoul!”“Omo Lulu! I totally forgot about the time difference, dui bu qi,” Mei said in an apologetic tone.“Mei guan xi.”“But Lulu guess what?”“What?”“I GOT THE TEACHING INTERNSHIP! I’LL BE IN SEOUL ALL SUMMER!”“Zhen de? Ah I’m so happy for you Mei!” Lulu returned to his normal cheerful tone.“Zhen de! I just got the email! I was so excited, and you were the first person I thought of telling. I’m really sorry that I woke you up though.”“Ah it’s okay Mei. How long is your internship?”“It’s from the end of May until mid-August!”“That’s great Mei! Does that mean I’ll finally get to see you again?”“Of course! That is unless you are too busy being an idol to hang out with your best friend,” Mei teased.“I would never be too busy for you. I have some promotions in China scattered through the summer, but I should be in Seoul still for most of the time. I cannot wait to see you!”“Aishh keep it down Luhan, we’re trying to sleep!” someone in the background shouted.“Ah sorry Mei but I have to go. Kris gets grumpy when he does not get his beauty sleep,” Lulu chuckled. Kris launched his pillow at Lulu who just narrowly missed it.Mei laughed, “Okay. Wan an Lulu! I will call you tonight!”“Zai jian,” Lulu said before hanging up the phone.Later that day, 9:27PM PST/1:27PM KST“Hyung, your phone is ringing,” Chen told Luhan while they were sitting in a restaurant eating. Luhan reaches for the phone, smiling when he sees the name splayed across the lit-up display screen of his phone.“Hey Mei,” he answers.“Lulu! I hope I didn’t wake you up,” Mei lightly teases.“Ah no,” Lulu smiles.“Are you busy?”“No, I’m on lunch break. We’re performing later tonight though,” Luhan replies.“Ah good luck, not that you need it. Where are you performing?”“We’re performing on SS4. We’re in Indonesia right now.”“Ah Jakarta? Lucky, how is the food?” Mei asks, shifting the cell phone on her shoulder to a more comfortable place.“It’s delicious. How was your day?” Luhan asks, playing with the food on his plate.“Busy. Maggie wanted to get a head start on studying for our Organic Chemistry final so I’ve been cooped up in the library since 3:00. I just got back to my apartment. I’m making ramen right now.”“On a Friday night? Aren’t you supposed to be out partying like normal college students?” Luhan teased.“Ah well finals are coming up so I cannot afford to let loose and have fun… yet,” Mei replied, adjusting the heat on the stove.“Oh I was going to ask you about your internship. When does it start? Where are you staying? What do you have to do? Will you be busy? Will I get to see you?”“Whoa there Lulu, one question at a time. It starts on June 11th, but my plane is on May 16th. I'm staying at an apartment complex with a few other students that are there teaching English as well. Mmm, there's two weeks of training, followed by two months of English instruction for the kids. Umm, I won't find out what grade I'll be teaching until I get there, but it should be fine either way. I only teach Monday through Friday from 9 to 4, so I'm free all weekend and after 4!"“Ah I see. That’s great! I’ll be in Seoul then, I’d love to show you around.”“Are you sure Lulu? I know the fans are a little crazy there. I don’t want any gossip to spread especially since you just debuted.”“Ni hao tie xin ya Mei (you’re so caring Mei). It’s okay, I’ll be careful.”“Okay. I got to go though Lulu, my food is almost done. And I still have tons of homework to do tonight. Good luck at your performance tonight! Jia you!”Lulu laughs, “good night Mei.” Luhan ends the call, placing his phone on the table, only to realize that 5 pairs of eyes are staring at him expectantly. “What?”“Was that Mei?” Chen asks. Luhan nods. “Is she coming to Seoul?”Luhan blinks. “Yeah.”“Why didn’t you tell us!” Chen whines.“Aish. I guess… I don’t know.”“When is she coming?” Xiumin asks.“Uh May 16th I think.”“We’ll finally get to see Luhan ge’s girlfriend!” Tao exclaims loudly.“Yah! She’s not my girlfriend!” Luhan counters, his cheeks turning slightly red.“But you loooooove her,” Chen sings.“Aish you guys…” Luhan mutters, going back to his now cold food.
