Three years later…Minji woke up and slowly removed Soohyun’s arms that were around her. She got up and went straight to the bathroom. She was almost ready, but couldn’t find her gray boots. She looked all over the closet and they were still nowhere to be found.“What you looking for?” Minji jumped when she heard Dongho’s voice. She looked at the door and saw him walk towards her with a smile. Dongho lived in the same floor as them and knew how to sneak into the apartment through the fire escape.“For a pair of boots.” Minji continued her search.“I saw some gray ones in the living room when I was walking towards here.” Minji shot up and ran to the living room. She sighed in relief when she saw them. Dongho sat on the couch beside Minji as she put on her boots.She stood up and pat his head, “What are you doing here so early?”He grinned, “I was wondering if you had some snacks to give me. My house ran out and I’ll die by the time lunch period starts.” Minji laughed and nodded. Dongho followed her to the kitchen. She grabbed a juice box and put some cookies into a sandwich bag.“Here you go.” she handed them to him. She watched as Dongho put the treats into his bag. Of course he would always be starving by lunch, he never had breakfast on school days. “You should really start eating breakfast.” she pouted. “Come by tomorrow and I’ll fix you pancakes or something. But don’t come at last minute like today.”Dongho smiled and kissed Minji’s cheek. “You’re the best, Noona!” He threw his bag over his shoulder and left to school. Minji felt like she forgot something as she watched Dongho go out the door.“You got ready fast.” Soohyun rubbed his eyes as he walked to the kitchen.“I’m sorry, cooking slipped my mind this morning.” Minji opened the fridge and pulled out the eggs.“It’s okay,” Soohyun grabbed the carton from her and smiled, “I’ll make breakfast today. You can finish doing your makeup and stuff.” Minji smiled when Soohyun kissed her forehead. She went to the room and finished getting ready.Soohyun was serving the food on the plates when she was done. He placed the plate on the table as she sat down. “It looks great.” she picked up her fork. He smiled and sat beside her.“I couldn’t find the juice I drink every morning. Do you know where it is?” Minji nodded and took her first bite.“I gave the last one to Dongho this morning. He didn’t have any for school.”Soohyun stared at her in disappointment. “You have to stop treating him like a child; he’s already in his last year of high school. Amelie and you spoil him too much.”“He’s just a kid.”“You speak as if we weren’t only four years older than him.” Soohyun pouted and looked at Minji, “You should treat your husband with all your love. The person you should baby is me.”“You’re just upset because of the juice box.” Minji tried to hold in her laughter. “There’s orange juice in the fridge. Get two glasses, I want some two.” Soohyun stood up and dragged his feet to get the cups and juice.Minji kissed Soohyun before leaving. “Love you, baby.” Soohyun rolled his eyes knowing she was teasing him. Minji wasn’t the type to use pet names.Minji went to Amelie’s house before work, like she always does. Amelie has been Minji’s best friend since high school. They have a lot in common, so they clicked soon after meeting each other. Amelie guided Minji to the couch. “What are we waiting for?” Minji got comfortable.“Hoon is coming over to look after Bae.” Amelie responded.“Doesn’t Eli usually leave him with your mom before going to work?”“Eli thought it was nice to take my mom to this hotel that opened some time ago.” she sighed. “Is it weird for him to get along so well with my parents? They’re like besties.” Minji laughed.“I guess it okay.”Minji and Amelie watched as Hoon walked in, untied Rocky’s leash, put the leash and his shoes in a corner, and threw himself in between them. “Why do you always bring your Husky?” Amelie stared at Rocky as he laid on the floor.“Three year olds like animals. In other words, it’s easier to look after Bae whenever Rocky is around. I rather have Bae play with him than run around the room like a savage.” Hoon explained.“My baby is not a savage.” Amelie stood up. “I’ll see you when I get back. Don’t let him play too rough with Rocky.” Hoon nodded as Amelie and Minji left to work. He laid on the couch and fell asleep as soon as they left.Bae woke up a few hours later and jumped on Hoon until he woke up. Hoon hugged Bae and laid back down on the couch. Bae put his hands firmly on Hoon’s cheeks and whispered. “I want chocolate milk.” Hoon laughed and carried Bae to the kitchen. He served chocolate milk for the both of them and made sandwiches.“Do you have a job?” Bae stared at Hoon as he ate his sandwich.“Yes~” Hoon laughed. “Why do you ask?”“Grandpa told me the other day that most adults spend most of the day working. You’re an adult, but I’ve never seen you in uniform or professional clothes and you spend a lot of time here.”“You’re too smart for your own good.” Hoon ruffled Bae’s hair. “If you want to know, I work with your dad. I’m not working today because it’s my day off though. Adults also have days where they like to do things for fun.”“Sounds reasonable.” Bae nodded. Hoon grinned. Bae was smarter than most kids his age. Amelie was a grammar freak, so teaching Bae how to speak properly was like a fun game to her. Bae has always been sweet and calm, which is why everyone always fought for his attention. Everyone loved spending time with him.After eating, Bae went to the floor with Rocky and started petting him. Hoon joined them a little while after.Kevin burst into the apartment as Hoon was playing with Bae. Bae ran into Kevin’s arm and hugged him. Kevin kissed his cheek multiple times before putting him back on the floor. “What are you doing here?” Hoon stood up. “You should leave.” he said, jealous of the attention Bae was giving him.“I came to pick up Bae.” Kevin grinned. “I’m taking him to the aquarium.”“But Amelie asked me to look after him. Shoo~ We don’t need you here.” Hoon took Bae’s hand and carried him away from Kevin. “You can play with him when it’s not my turn.”“We don’t need to take turns because he’s not a toy.” Hoon stepped back when Kevin took a step closer to them. “Stop being immature!”“You’re the immature one.” Hoon rolled his eyes. “You can’t just come here out of nowhere and expect to have Bae whenever you want.”“I think I can.” Kevin crossed his arms and raised his chin. “Wanna bet?”Hoon put Bae on the floor and told him, “You get to choose what you want to do today. Do you want to play here with me and have lots of fun~” He changed into a bored tone, “Or do you want to walk for hours and see fish you can see when you visit your grandma?”“I want to go to the aquarium with Kevin!” he smiled and Kevin danced in celebration.“You can’t win like that with a kid as smart as Bae.” Kevin smiled as he got Bae ready to leave. Hoon pouted and texted Amelie, “I’m going home. Kevin took Bae.”  Soohyun got his things to leave AJ’s apartment. “You’re leaving already?” AJ asked.“Yeah, Minji should have arrived home some time ago.”AJ laughed. “I didn’t know she had you on a leash.”“She doesn’t, I’m the one who wants to hurry home. You know how we’ve been trying to have a baby.” Soohyun smiled. “And it’s finally that time of the month where we have sex more than often~”Minji was concentrated on her laptop when Soohyun arrived home. “What are you doing?” Soohyun asked as he took off his shirt. Minji stayed concentrated on the screen.“I found a position that could increase the chances of getting pregnant by 90%. Isn’t that amazing? I’m reading how and why. You can get comfortable on the bed while I try to figure out exactly how to do this.” Soohyun sighed and closed the laptop. “What the hell!” Minji tried getting it back from Soohyun. He put the laptop in another room and came back. He crawled in the bed and kissed her.“Why don’t we just have sex like we usually do?”“I’m ovulating and I really want to have a baby.” Minji pouted.“Why do we always have to do one of your science experiments at this time of the month? Let’s just have sex without worrying in what position we are. We’ll have fun and we still have a chance of getting a baby out of it.” He kissed her forehead. “Just let me take control today.” She smiled and nodded.They lay in bed with their finger intertwined. “I love everything about you.” Soohyun smiled at Minji.“I love you too. I’m glad I married such a wonderful and charming person like you. I wouldn’t want to be happy with anyone that wasn’t you and I don’t want to see you without me either. I don’t care about any of your dark secrets as long as I get to be by your side.” “What’s today?” Minji  flipped through her calendar one morning. She looked at the date and yelled. Soohyun looked at her with wide eyes as she jumped in excitement. “I missed my period!” She ran to the bathroom and took out a pregnancy test. She started at the stick for minutes after peeing waiting for the answer to appear. She ran back to the room and tackled Soohyun. “I’m pregnant! We’re finally having a baby!
