Minji has always felt like the relationship she had with Soohyun was like a fairytale. It wasn’t love at first sight and it wasn’t rushed, but she thought it was crookedly perfect. There’s no one Minji has loved more than Soohyun. She found everything he did cute and irresistible. She loved his smile, his hair, his humor, the way he said her name, simply everything about him. She couldn’t help thinking about him all day. His voice was the sweetest sound she could ever imagine. She couldn’t see herself with anyone other than Soohyun.Of course, it wasn’t always like this. Minji didn’t think anything special about Soohyun when she first met him. He became simply eye candy when she began to notice him, his looks is all she cared about him. She was glad when they paired her up with Soohyun during a class project; it was a chance to admire him from a closer distance. She paid more attention to Soohyun’s movements and the sound of his voice then her work. Before she knew it she began to know him better and unconsciously like like him.They kept talking even after the project assignment was over. It was easy for them to become friends, they had so much in common. They would hang out all the time at school, at each other’s houses, the coffee shop, the park, the arcade, any place they could think of. It wasn’t long for them to become close. They shared secrets without hesitation.  Minji found herself wanting to smile with him and be by his side more every day.Minji will never forget the day they were caught in heavy rain. They laughed as they ran looking for a place to keep themselves from getting wet. Soohyun stared deeply into her eyes as they waited for the rain to stop. Her fast heartbeat was drowning out the sound of the loud rain. His gaze was making her nervous and self-conscious. She was surprised as he slowly leaned into her face. He stopped when their lips were less than an inch apart. She gripped the hem of her soaked uniform, since she didn’t know what else to hold on to. She didn’t understand what she was feeling that well. It felt like time had stopped and her heart was racing like crazy and butterflies were going wild in her stomach. She shut her eyes tightly and pressed her lips firmly on his. She felt his smile on her lips as they kissed. She stared at him with confusion after the kiss. She didn’t want to ask any questions to not ruin the moment. That night, when she got home she stared into the mirror thinking what had happened between Soohyun. She grinned when she clearly realized the situation. She jumped and danced in her room in celebration.Minji was the one who asked Soohyun to be his girlfriend. She had been nervous about it and wasn’t sure if she was jumping to conclusions about his feelings. He grinned in response. At first she didn’t know if to take his grin as one of ridicule. She bit her lip before walking away. Her eyes widened when he laughed and grabbed her arm. She pressed her against the wall and kissed her.Around a year passed before they decided to have sex. Minji stared at Soohyun’s perfect body and started to become more nervous. Not only did she have to think about the pain of losing her virginity, Soohyun’s body was intimidating. She wanted to run away, to tell him they could do it another day. But she has been waiting for this day for such a long time that she wasn’t going to back out now. She held her breath as he kissed her neck. She let out a tiny moan when she felt Soohyun’s fingers sliding up her back. He pushed her on the bed and kissed her lips. She grunted in pain when the intercourse began. She bit her lip to quiet herself down and held on to his back with all the strength she could manage. Soohyun stopped for a second to wipe her tears and apologize. She begged him to continue, that she was going to get used to the pain soon. He was gentle at first, but couldn’t contain himself around the end. Soohyun let his body fall on top of Minji’s exhausted body. They breathed heavily, trying to catch their breath. Minji caressed Soohyun’s hair as they both fell asleep.It’s been many months since their first experience in bed. Minji laid next to Soohyun on her bed with their fingers intertwined. She smiled into his neck, taking in his scent. “I love you.” he whispered. She looked up at him with surprise. It was the first time she’s heard him say those words.  She smiled to herself and kissed his cheek. “I love you too.” she pinched his nose. She hugged him and squeezed him tightly. Those words were enough to make her mood skyrocket. They repeated those three words to each other throughout the year.They spent New Year’s together that year. They sat outside watching the firework. It felt magical by Soohyun’s side. She sat closer to him. He looked at her and smile. “What are you thinking about?” he ruffled her hair.“All the things I want to do this year. I want to make a list in my head.” She grinned and asked, “What’s something you want to do for the new year?”“Let me think~” he twisted his lips. “I want to… ask you a very important question.” He stood up and dusted the snow from his clothes and she followed after he gestured for her to do so. “Minji,” he smiled, “I want to do everything I possibly can to make you happy. I will help make all your fantasies come true. I promise to never leave your side as long as you agree to marry me beneath these stars.” Minji’s eyes watered trying to find the correct words to say. She felt breathless when he pulled out a ring and got on one knee. “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?”“Yes~” she cried. “A million times, yes! I love you so much that I would never think of anything but to live by your side.” Minji cried with a bright smile as Soohyun grabbed her hand and placed the ring on her finger.
