Chapter 21 (2/2)

Jungah has most likely — officially — thought that Jinki has fully become oblivious to not get what she meant. She did get her heart broken with the fact Jinki chose Taemin instead of her but she has seen Key’s, Jonghyun’s, and Minho’s face. She knew that the other three dorks wanted the leader and maknae to get together and she will help with that. She just needed Jinki’s permission to allow her.

To: Jinki Babe~♥From: JungahYou’re watching the show and you still don’t know what I’m talking about!? Don’t you feel jealous that *your* man is on a show *married* to someone else!?

Jinki choked on his spit and at the same time had his eyes opened wide at the text message. Reading this made him wonder if his feelings for the younger was that noticeable. Is this why she wanted to talk? Was she mad for it? Heck, he was doing his very best so that no one would figure it out. He kept it deep inside his head that he’ll secure this secret away from everyone he knew because he was scared that Taemin might find out. I’m his goddamn hyung for fuck’s sake! This can’t be happening, maybe she meant it as a joke, yeah… that’s it. The others asked him if he was alright, catching that his face was becoming red and because he was choking. “A-ani… I’m fine. T-thanks for asking.” He gave a small smile towards the maknae who showed that he was concerned. This made him feel calm. Taemin only raised a brow at Jinki’s reply since Jinki rarely stuttered. Taemin turned back to the television. I wonder why he acted as if he saw something he wasn’t suppose to? Taemin already knew that the leader was talking to his girlfriend so he didn’t bother with it. He just wanted the older to focus on what they were watching but guessed that wouldn’t happen anytime sooner. A pout form on his face and Minho had to nudge him to wipe it off. Jinki took his time in answering the message. He wrote a message and deleted and did it again. Finally, he decided to send something.

To: Jungah♥From: JinkiWhat do you mean by “my man”?

After sending the message he noticed that her name was still the same from when they were still dating. Jinki, how could you forget about this? The both of you have been talking after the break up and you still haven’t changed it. While he was changing Jungah’s contact name, he received an incoming message but proceeded to change her name so that he wouldn’t forget about it later. After he changed her contact name he also changed something else, after that he finally checked the message. He took his time because he knew he wasn’t ready to read the message, knowing it was going to surprise him anyhow.

To: Jinki Babe~♥From: JungahYou don’t have to hide from me~ I know you love Taemin-ah~ You know that right?~

As of now, Jinki wasn’t fully paying attention to the show and this caught almost everyone’s attention. He was fidgeting and was now red to the face. It was impossible not to notice. He jumped from the couch and quickly mumbled “Have to go to the washroom.” He practically ran to it and immediately called Jungah. “Hey… uhmm wanna meet up at the cafe we usually go to?” Jinki started fast not letting the girl say “hi” in return. “Sure, the one where we bumped into Taemin? Right~” Jinki knew the girl was openly teasing him now, he rushed out a “yes” and immediately hung up. Jungah on the other hand was grinning from ear to ear. He left the room informing the others that he’ll meet up with a friend and left using a car to get to the cafe faster.

“Taemin-ah, it’s alright, it’s just the first show. We’ll watch it together again for the next one.” Jonghyun quietly assured. “Nehh… but it’s the first show, I know we’re drifting and stuff but he could at least show that he’s supporting me in what I do.” Jonghyun only nodded understanding why the younger was suddenly sulky. However, he did wonder why Taemin agreed to this in the first place but seeing the younger’s smile as he watched himself made him realize that Taemin could actually grow feelings for the girl as well. Don’t get him wrong, he’s happy for the maknae that he was having fun but he couldn’t take it that it wasn’t the leader doing that. Taemin was smiling both on the show and off but it wasn’t the normal smile they would see on the maknae’s face. This smile had something hiding in it.

Jinki rushed to the cafe, aware that his face was not covered in anything whatsoever. He didn’t care about it. He sat on one of the tables that was far from the entrance and texted Jungah that he was there and was waiting for her. Not long after he caught her walking in very slowly and waving. He wanted her to walk faster. He needed to know why or how she knew. “Annyeong Jinki-ah!” Jungah said as if she didn’t know why they were meeting in the first place. “How have you been doing?” She tried to tease, she succeeded in doing so, catching Jinki’s flush face which normally didn’t happen around her. “Noona, please… just sit. You’re killing me!” With that Jungah finally walked faster sitting down in front of the younger. She gave him a toothy grin and waited for him to start questioning her. When she knew the boy wasn’t going to start any sooner she started. “So you want to know why I know?” Jinki nodded furiously, as well as getting a darker tint of red on his face. “Neh! Who told-no… how?!” The boy knew he was being a little too loud but he badly wanted to know how she knew. “Noona, I’m your favorite dongsaeng, so why are you trying to do this to me!” “To finally make you realize your feelings for your maknae!” Jungah laughed. “Oh… but wait… you already know your heart.” she continued as well as wiggling her eyebrows. Jinki couldn’t think of a reason as to why Jungah was doing this to him. Was this just a friendly tease or a tease that would try to make him feel guilty for choosing Taemin? “Look, if you want to get back together… I can’t and you obviously know the reason as to why…” With this being said Jungah chuckled. “Omo! Ani! I didn’t mean it like that! Wahhh Jinki… I surely didn’t know you’d be this slow…” Jungah teased again. “What do you mean slow!? If you spoke out what you said clearly, then there wouldn’t be any misunderstandings, now would there?” He now had his arms folded across his chest not wanting to show that he really was panicking. Jungah gave him a point for what he said but she couldn’t help but tease him, it was adorable to see him panic. And Jinki… Jinki was slowly beginning to cry inside. “Okay… well for a fact, I know you love Taemin though I don’t know for how long…” Jungah started easy this time. “H-how though?” Jinki asked. “Damn… you really do need everything explained to you huh? Well… those long gazes at the boy helped me know and the fact that you let him touch your thigh even during live interviews. I couldn’t even do that to you without you being uncomfortable with it.” Jungah reminded. “So… you don’t want to be together?” “Ani~” Jinki heaved a sigh after hearing that in which was caught by Jungah but she only returned an eyeroll. “I don’t even know what I saw in you… or why that boy fell for you also…” she quietly mumbled. Jinki heard the first part of what she said but the second part was too quiet to hear. They talked for a bit more about how and why they both realized their relationship wasn’t working in the first place. They both agreed to each other’s reasons and promised one another that it wouldn’t interfere with their friendship, ever. “Noona?” Jinki mumbled as he was playing with his cup of coffee. “Hhmm?” “You know the reason I called you here right?” Jungah nodded. “Can… can we talk about that? I mean if you don’t want to, we won’t.” She smiled sitting straight as she was waiting to talk about this the entire time she’s been here. “Wow took you long enough to ask me.” “Look. I’m going to help you win that boy.” She continued as if she didn't know about Taemin's feelings. She knew Taemin loved Jinki but she also knew Jinki didn’t know that. “W-why though?” Jinki couldn't help but be surprise. His ex-girlfriend, helping him win the heart he's been dreaming to have for the longest time. Now that was something he couldn't even imagine, ever, but now it was happening. He just couldn't believe it that he had his full undivided attention on the girl in front of him for once. “Because this is the time.” “Time?” Jungah could’ve sworn she would've hit the boy’s head. “Remember that last time you were at my place?” He nodded. “Well, I said ‘you’ll know in time’ right?” He nodded again. “That time is now!” “Wait… wait, wait. I still don’t get what you’re talking about. Are you…” Jinki gasped right when he understood what the older meant. She really wanted to help him. He still questioned why though. Jungah nodded with the biggest smile she ever gave the boy. “But… I want to know in full detail how you fell for Taemin, when it all started and why it’s so hard for you to move on when I know you want to." Jungah asked. The boy contemplated on where he should start. Should he start with the fact that he fell for Taemin after talking to him the first time on the rooftop where they both met at? Or should he start when he knew he actually fell in love? "We met at the SM's rooftop before we knew we'd be in the same group. He caught my eyes right when he walked in that door. I don't think anybody was supposed to be up there but I still went there to practice." Jungah nodded getting intrigued with such an odd meeting. “I guess you can say it was like fate brought the both of us together… considering he was also there.” This whole time, Jungah watched and listened to Jinki, feeling happy that she’ll make a lot of people happy with her decision to get Taemin and Jinki together. "I taught him his first vocal lessons and he loved it. I saw the disappointment on his face when he told me that the staff said he couldn't get proper training because he was at the age that his was voice was changing. But even if it was changing and had voice cracks here and there, you're able to hear a unique tone in his voice. He also said he was getting made fun of at school because they said he was tone deaf and that he will never be a singer because of that. But I wanted to change that, I didn't like that he was upset, I always wanted to see his face with a smile." Jinki started with a serious face but later on had a smile on his face as he recalled the memories. "I knew I was falling for him after a few days but I thought to myself 'this was too fast, it can't happen this fast can it?' I knew I couldn't escape loving him because we found out we were going to be in the same group. We both ran to the rooftop then and kept jumping and running around from the excitement. I couldn't help but hug him making me proud that I'll be able to help him prove himself to others and most importantly to himself." Jinki stopped for a bit and stared off to distance. Jungah was worried the younger might've remembered something that was unpleasant but was later relieved when she saw a smile growing on his face. Jinki chuckled to himself. "I remember how he'd always follow me even if he knew Jonghyun first, I felt special knowing he rather spend his time with me than anyone else, and now… now he'd rather spend it with people who used to make him feel uncomfortable. Sometimes I worry that he'll completely forget about me but I know that can't happen unless he gets amnesia." Jinki face showed how scared he’ll be if that ever happens "which I hope doesn't happen at all! I don't know what I will do if he ever forgets every single thing about the both of us. I’ll probably cry most of the time if that ever happens.” He nodded. “When did you try to stop loving him?” Jungah needed to know, in order to understand how to help the two. “After I found out he was charmed by guys that are much more good-looking than I am from his journal…” “Wait…. wait, wait, wait! You read his journal?!” If Jinki read his journal shouldn’t it be obvious enough that Taemin has feelings for him? I swear, Jinki needs to analyze situations much clearer. Jinki panicked, “I didn’t read the whole thing just that one- okay, maybe a couple of pages but not the whole thing!” “Jinki, Jinki, Jinki… I don’t know what to do with you! Why are you so slow?!” Jungah complained. The man knew he wasn’t, but maybe that was how people perceived him. All of the sudden Jungah’s phone began to ring and it was a phone call saying she had a meeting she needed to attend at this hour. They both ended their conversation and walked to the exit. They both stopped right in front of the shop to arrange another meeting and to have one small talk before they go. “Thank you and I’m sorry…” Jinki said as he was looking down. “Don't worry about it, just make sure you leave my name as it is so that they don't know we broke up because I’m pretty sure you haven't told any of them yet, right?” Jinki nodded. “Okay… I'll change it back.” With this, Jungah felt a tiny tingle but pushed it aside knowing she had to stop. “Okay, I’ll go now! Annyeong Jinki-ah!” She waved after Jinki had changed it back. Jinki bowed his head and while she was walking away he stopped her with what he said next. “I know… many of you think I’m slow to these types of things. But don’t think so… because I really am not.” And with that he left with a smirk. All Jungah could do now was chuckle on her way back. What an idiot…

Again... I'm sorry for the long wait on updates. I still don't have a laptop to work on. Plus school yennoHere's a little summary of what happened!

Soooo Taemin's plan was to be on 'We Got Married' to make Jinki jealous even if he doesn't know it will make the leader jealous. Jinki finds out that Jungah wants to help him get Taemin and has no hard feelings about him choosing Taemin over her. Jinki is as sneaky as Taemin or even sneakier! No one has any clue on what's going on except a few characters! Guess who??So here's the pic of the photoshoot of what Taemin was all flutterly about!!!
