She was sitting on the bed when she remembered Yunho telling her to open her balcony that night. “If I open it, it’ll make me look like I was waiting for him. If I kept it open, he’ll just force me to open it even if he has a spare key to it. Aigoo~ what should I do??” MinYoung kept arguing to herself. Then, she heard light shuffles of bushes outside. Yunho was already at the foot of the rope ladder and he’s climbing up to MinYoung’s room. MinYoung jolted up from her bed, battling with herself if she should open the balcony or just leave it closed. Then, she saw Yunho’s head slowly appearing in sight. “Just act normal!” she told herself. MinYoung held her door’s knob and slowly opened it. Yunho just landed on the balcony. “You just got here?” Yunho blinked at MinYoung.“Uhh.. ye-yeah. I just got out of the bathroom,” MinYoung tried to act normal. Yunho just shrugged his shoulders and remained unmoved in his position. “So, why’d you ask me to open the balcony?” MinYoung casually asked.“Nothing~ I just want to spend the night here,” Yunho told her. “This could be my last night here.”“You’re leaving tomorrow??” MinYoung’s eyes widened. “Not really. I have to get back to my own place tomorrow since I have to work at appa’s office in preparation for my business trip in Japan,” Yunho softly told her.“Oh. So, when do you leave?” she asked.“I’m leaving in five days,” he told her as he sat on the cold floor with MinYoung joining him. She hugged her knees to her chest.“Were you able to talk to your appa?” she asked.“We did~” he bowed his head, not wanting to meet MinYoung’s gaze.“What did he say?” Flashback “Why do you have to send me away from my friends again??” Yunho asked as he barged in into his parents’ room.“I’m not sending you away from anyone. I just need you to be there to look after our business,” Mr. Jung said as he sat up on the bed.“What if I tell you that I don’t want to go to Japan?” Yunho challenged.“You still don’t understand why I’m doing this don’t you?” Mr. Jung slowly stood up from the bed.“Honey, don’t do this~” Mrs. Jung tried to stop his husband. “I’m letting you do this for you to have a stable life before I leave this world. I’m not doing this for me but I’m doing this for you! You’re already old enough to decide for yourself but I’m afraid that you’re not stable to stand on your own,” Mr. Jung explained. “But I have my own dreams to chase, appa!” Yunho shouted.“I care for your dreams as well, son. I believe that you can reach those but before you do that, I want you to learn something valuable. I know you can become a great performer one day but what if things will not turn out as we expect it to be? Where will you go?” Mr. Jung firmly asked. Yunho remained silent, not looking at his father’s eyes. “I had you studied in the States, thinking that you’ll grow up and be mature with your decisions but what did you do? You remained average in class when I believed that you’ll do much better. You played around going to different bars at night and don’t get the idea that I didn’t know anything about your girlfriends,” Mr. Jung revealed to Yunho. By that time, Yunho felt ashamed of what he has done. “I didn’t care about those girls that you’ve gone out with because I know that one day; you’ll become smart and marry someone that you and I can be proud of. Someone like MinYoung,” Yunho looked up at his father who was in the verge of crying. “You see that girl? I know she can change you to becoming a better person.” “Don’t you see the whole point of this? I want you to become a better person.” End of Flashback “Yah~” MinYoung nudged Yunho, making him come back to reality. “What did he tell you?”“Nothing much; we didn’t actually fought this time,” Yunho assured her.“Really?!” MinYoung’s eyes widened. Yunho nodded. “I kind of actually feel good about it,” he admitted. MinYoung smiled. Happy, she wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him tight. “Your father, he has good intentions for you, you know?” MinYoung murmured.“I know. I just realized it now,” Yunho agreed, wrapping his arm about her shoulders. “So how long does he want you in Japan this time?” MinYoung casually asked, not letting go.“About a year.” “That’s not long, right?” MinYoung placed her chin on his shoulder. Yunho shook his head.“You will still wait for me, right?” Yunho looked over to his shoulder only to realize what he has done: their faces were a few centimeters away from each other. MinYoung pried her arms away from Yunho’s waist and leaned back. “Sorry,” Yunho apologized as he coughed on his fist.“It’s okay,” MinYoung assured him as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “So?” “So what?” MinYoung asked.“You’ll wait for me for one year, right?” Yunho asked once again.“Do you still have to ask me that?” MinYoung chuckled.“Will you?” Yunho asked seriously which made MinYoung look at him. She saw him waiting for an answer. “Of course.”“Good.” “What’s the big deal anyways?” MinYoung asked.“I just want to make sure that you’ll still be there when I get back,” Yunho answered without looking at her. Then, they remained silent for some time, admiring the starry sky. Suddenly, Yunho took MinYoung’s hand and held it with his. “He’s doing this again?” MinYoung thought as she watched him lace his fingers with hers. “MinYoung-ah?”“Hmm?” MinYoung looked up. “You’ll support me with my decisions right?” Yunho asked. MinYoung didn’t answer.“You’ll be like my number 1 fan?” Yunho turned to look at MinYoung for an answer. “Of course.” “I’ll always be even if I lose you.” ~•♥•~
