She headed towards the bedroom; ready to throw herself on her bed and drift off to dreamland. MinYoung’s friends followed her inside the bedroom. Instead of going straight to bed, HaRin, MinGi and AeRin each sat on top of their beds and watched MinYoung get ready for bed. Once she has settled on her bed, MinYoung was ready to shut her eyes. However, the stares that her friends were giving her made it hard for MinYoung to sleep. MinYoung let out a heavy sigh, “you know you can ask me anything.” “Are you hiding something from us?” HaRin’s question made MinYoung sit up from her laying position. MinYoung knitted her eyebrows in confusion, “what are you talking about?” “Why did you reject Yoochun oppa?” AeRin questioned.“EH?!” “He’s such a great guy; why did you have to reject him?” AeRin clarified. MinYoung had to swallow hard.“I know he’s a great guy but.. He.. I.. We’re not meant for each other,” MinYoung stuttered. “How sure are you?” MinGi suddenly asked.“Why are we talking about this?” MinYoung asked back. “We’ve been dying to ask you about this since that night but we didn’t bother because we know it was hard for you,” HaRin answered. “We just want to know why.” MinYoung sighed. “Because I can’t return him the love he’s been giving me. I know he’s such an amazing guy and could treat a girl as a princess – maybe even as a queen. He’s too loving and affectionate that it makes me feel guilty knowing that I couldn’t give him that,” MinYoung explained. “But did he even ask you to give him those?” HaRin asked.“No, he didn’t,” MinYoung quickly answered. “But did Jaejoong oppa ask you to love him back when he asked you to be his girlfriend?” MinYoung threw back the question. Reluctantly, HaRin shook her head. “Did Changmin oppa ask you to love him when he asked you to be his girlfriend?” MinYoung turned to ask MinGi who also shook her head.“Did Junsu oppa asked you AeRin-ah?” and AeRin shook her head. “See? They didn’t ask you but I’m sure you guys love them as much as they love you. Agreeing to be in a relationship means there’s a mutual feeling between the couple: the guy loves the girl and vice versa,” MinYoung told them. “Does that mean that all the while Yoochun oppa was courting you, you didn’t feel anything for him?” MinGi asked.“I did. I felt so special. I felt like a princess when I was with him. He made me happy compared to the time when I was crushing on Yunho oppa,” MinYoung smiled at the sweet memories she had with Yoochun. “Then it could be about Yunho oppa,” the three girls silently thought. “Then what changed?” AeRin asked.“I guess I felt like I was taking advantage of the treatment he’s been giving me,” MinYoung shrugged her shoulders. “He doesn’t deserve that.” For a moment, the four friends shared the silence while MinYoung looked at each of them intently. “You know,” she began, “I actually envy you guys.” “Us?” they asked in unison. MinYoung nodded as she played with your fingers.“Why?” “It just seems like everything has fallen into place for you. You’re with Jaejoong oppa (points at HaRin), you’re with Junsu oppa (points at AeRin) and you’re with Changmin oppa (points at MinGi). I’m actually jealous of you guys,” MinYoung smiled warmly. “Jealous? What are you talking about?” MinGi asked, chuckling.“Because you guys are happy with your man,” MinYoung said. “You could be happy as well if you didn’t reject Yoochun oppa on the first place,” AeRin told her.“That’s not my point~” MinYoung said. “Then what?” AeRin stared wide eyed at her unnie. “You have actually found the guy who makes you happy.” “Didn’t you find yours already? Then who?” MinYoung’s face was painted with confusion. “Aren’t you the smartest one among us?” HaRin smirked. “You should know the answer.” HaRin looked over to her other two friends and gave them a knowing glance. MinGi and AeRin nodded in understanding while MinYoung’s expression remained the same. “Who are you talking about?” MinYoung asked as he friends got ready for bed. “Aren’t you the smartest one amongst us?” HaRin raised an eyebrow. “You know the answer unnie. You just won’t admit it to yourself,” MinGi said as she lay down on her bed. “Good night, unnie~” AeRin said before closing the lights. “YAH!
