It’s raining,” MinYoung nudged Yoochun and pointed at the window. Yoochun looked outside and the rain was lightly pouring. MinYoung finished her food; the waiter took their plates and exchanged it with their dessert. Yoochun didn’t notice his as he observed Junsu and AeRin, dancing under the rain. “Oppa?” MinYoung called. Yoochun diverted his attention back to where he was.“Yeah?”“You’re  ice cream on your cookie is melting. You better eat it now before it gets soaked; it won’t taste that good anymore,” she told him. Yoochun looked at his platter and the ice cream was indeed melting. “So, why did you ask me out on a ‘date’?” MinYoung asked, sitting back. Yoochun placed his fork down on the side of his plate and wiped his lips clean. The time has arrived for him to confess.“I.. I want to tell you something,” he started slowly.“About?”“Us,” MinYoung was perplexed.“What about us?” she asked, not sure of what he meant. “I’ve been hiding this since we were in high school. Well, basically, I was hiding it from you; everyone else knew,” he started.“Hiding what, oppa?” she asked, nervously smiling.“My true feelings to you,” he said, softly gazing at her. MinYoung was shocked. Yoochun took MinYoung’s hands and enveloped it on his. “Ever since high school, I’ve felt something for you. I didn’t tell anyone about it but, like AeRin dongsaeng always told me, it was obvious to everyone else. You’re the only one who’s oblivious to it,” he chuckled and MinYoung let out a nervous laugh. “When I learned that you were madly in love with Yunho hyung, I forced myself to stop whatever I was feeling for you at that time but I couldn’t. I loved you so much that I wanted to give you everything that Yunho hyung couldn’t give you. You’re precious to me,” he told her. MinYoung didn’t know why but she was melting inside. “How come I never see this coming?” she asked in disbelief.“That’s because you were blinded by love; you didn’t see the other things around you. You only saw Yunho hyung,” he softly smiled.“I’m so sorry, oppa,” she apologized.“You don’t need to because I understand; I’m blinded by love as well. Imagine I have loved you for almost nine years. That’s because I only saw you and no one else,” he said.“That was long,” MinYoung thought. “And I’ll still love you now and forever,” he whispered but enough for MinYoung to hear. “I asked Yunho hyung's permission if I could ask his best friend out on a formal date and he agreed. That’s why I had the courage to ask you out tonight,” he laughed and MinYoung joined in.“That’s a relief. I thought he would never let me go on a single date,” she wiped a fake sweat. “But I hope that on your succeeding dates, I’ll be the guy who you’ll be going with,” he aforesaid. MinYoung remained silent, not knowing what to tell him. Yoochun took the opportunity as he fished a small velvet box on his pocket and placed it on the table. He opened the box and pushed it towards MinYoung. The box revealed a white gold band ring. MinYoung carefully took out the ring from the box and saw “YooMin forever” engraved on the band. She looked questioningly at Yoochun. “I know that everything seems so fast for you but I want to let you know that I love you so much; so much more than a friend. I hope you’ll let me love you, MinYoung-ah. ‘Cause I’m willing to do anything for you just to make you happy,” he said with such sincerity. MinYoung looked at him, speechless. “You don’t have to give me an answer now,” he assured her, squeezing her arm. “I just wanted to let you know how I feel,” he said. MinYoung placed the ring back on the box and pushed it back to Yoochun. “Thank you for understanding, oppa. I’ll think about this first. I don’t want to give an answer that I’ll regret after,” she smiled at him gratefully.“Keep the ring,” he told her. “Eh?”“Keep the ring. Return it to me if I get rejected,” he chuckled although he was serious.“You’re crazy, oppa,” she laughed. “Are you sure?” she asked.“Yeah. It might help you to think about it well,” he said.“Alright,” she placed the velvet box on her purse. “One more thing, while you’re thinking about it and since you already know my feelings for you, please allow me to show you how much I love you,” he begged. MinYoung nodded, smiling. Yoochun felt ecstatic; he didn’t expect that MinYoung would allow him to be expressive about his feelings for her. Nevertheless, he was happy that everything’s going smoothly. He took MinYoung’s hand and kissed it softly to which MinYoung responded by blushing. Yoochun and MinYoung finished their desserts while MinYoung asked when and how Yoochun knew about his feelings for her.
