My Memory (1/1)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFhRWUHGM8s&feature=related  *************You woke up to see Kevin right next to you, fast asleep. You hugged him and thought of what had happened last night. *Is this reality? Do you care for me, or is this just temporary?* You couldn't answer that, so you decided not to pursue it. Right now, you were just content with him holding you in his arms like this.Kevin stirred and awakened. "Morning, sleepyhead," you joked. He smiled and tickled you lightly, making you giggle. "I've got some things to do today, I might not be able to spend time with you," he said apologetically."It's okay, I was planning on going somewhere anyway," you said."Where?" Kevin said, curious. You put your finger to your lips. "It's a secret," you winked at him. He sighed, smiling. **************You were reading the ___________ in the tower where you had in last time while playing hide and seek. Lying down on the bed, you flipped through the pages. You brushed your fingers over the faded writing and beautiful hand-drawn pictures. One chapter name took your interest.“Shadows,” you read aloud.“Ancient beings who feed on blood and emotions, Shadows are heartless and cruel. Never do they feel remorse for their killings. With no soul or body, they never stop until every drop of blood is drunk. Fairies tremble in fear from them. Fear them, for Shadows are the very reason fairies are almost non-existent. Many have turned to the dark side in belief from pure belief, others for power. They are merciless and greedy. They do not stop until every drop of blood is drunk. Victims are never found again, merely remaining as a memory in the hearts of their loved ones. If Shadows are after your soul, there is no chance of survival. The soul of a human sets them free. They have been missing since the last victim, the one that changed everything.”You frowned. You were aware of the strength of a fairy after spending so many months with the brothers. You knew that they were extremely powerful beings, even though only the princes could make wishes. For a fairy to be afraid of the ‘Shadows’, they must really be dangerous. *Thank goodness they've disappeared, or I don't know what would have become of me.*You put down the book and tucked it under the pillow. You walked over to the piano and sat down on the seat, placing your hands on the keys. You pressed some, and instead of a melodic sound flowing out, your merely heard random notes that were badly played. You sighed.Suddenly, Kevin appeared next to you. You almost jumped out of the seat with fright. “Kevin!” you yelped. “Don’t do that!” Kevin glanced around the room, a look of worry on his face. *Out of all the areas in the castle, why did you have to find this place?*“When I wished to appear right next to you, I certainly didn’t expect it to be here.”“Why not?” You shrugged. “I found this tower while we were playing hide and seek last time, remember? Kiseop caught me as I was falling off the roof,” you said, recollecting that memory.Kevin stiffened when he heard you say his brother’s name.“I don’t know what I would have done if he hadn’t saved me,” you shivered. He looked away guiltily. He felt that he should have been the one to save you, not Kiseop. *After all, you’re mine. I’m responsible for you. I don’t know what I would do with myself if anything had happened to you if he hadn't been there. I don't want to be, but I know I'm in debt to Kiseop for saving you.*You shook the thought away and smiled at him. You were happy that he spent more time with you nowadays, appearing out of nowhere sometimes to just sit next to you and talk. He wasn’t as harsh, although quieter sometimes. You lifted your fingers over the keyboard again and started pressing notes. Kevin flinched. “What are you doing?”You pouted. “I’m trying to play, but I don’t know how. Do you know how to play the piano?”“Oh course, I know how to play every instrument invented,” he said matter-of-factly.Your eyes widened. “Really?" you said, slightly doubtful. He nodded. He placed his hands over the keys and started playing. You heard a beautiful, slow melody. Kevin’s hands flew over the keyboard with gracefulness as his eyes closed, concentrating on playing the song. You watched him with awe. *Is this really the loud, hyper Kevin that I see every day?* He looked like a different person, more mature and serious. When he stopped playing, you clapped your hands. “That was such a sweet song. You play the piano really well!” you praised him. He smiled at you. “Can you teach me how to play that?” you asked eagerly.Kevin looked at you, unsure. “When you first came here, I told you not to go into the East Tower. Do you remember?”You thought back a moment, and nodded your head.“It seems that you have been coming here quite frequently, despite my command.”You looked at him surprised. “This is the East Tower?”“Yes,” Kevin said solemnly. “And we really should not be here.”“Why?” You were confused. Wasn’t Kevin a prince? Were princes not allowed to go to certain areas as well?“Well…” Kevin didn’t know what to say to you. It was best to put the past behind them and not think about it again.*All the memories that Eli shared with Songhae…* Kevin thought. *He would become insane if he found out we were here.*You looked at him with puppy eyes. “Please? Please, can you teach me how to play that piece here?”“Can I not teach you somewhere else using a different piano?” “No, I really like this piano.” You traced your hand over the old wooden instrument. “There’s something special about it. Although I can’t play it, every time I press the keys, I get this magical feeling.”You looked at him with puppy eyes. “Please? Please, can you teach me how to play that piece here?”Kevin looked away, frustrated. He couldn’t stand looking at you adorable, sad face like that. He knew that he would give in to you in an instant.“Please, Kevin?” you whispered. When he heard you say his name like that, Kevin couldn’t take it anymore. He would do anything to make you happy.“Fine,” he grumbled. You beamed at him."The song I played just now is called My Memory. It's actually quite easy once you get the hang of how to play it.""But, it looks hard..." you said, biting your lip."Trust me, compared to other songs, this one is easier." Kevin started playing again, this time a fast song. His fingers moved quickly from right to left, playing an extremely complicated but memerizing melody."That was amazing..." you said in a hushed tone when he had finished. "What's the name of that piece?""It's a secret!" Kevin mimicked you. You pouted. "What? You can have secrets but I can't?" Kevin ruffled your hair affectionately. "I'll tell you next time. Right now, let's start with the easier one." He spent the rest of the afternoon teaching you how to play the piano. Hi! (: Please comment, subscribe, add me as a friend, whatever you wish! ^^ Oh, and if you have any advice on how I can improve my writing, please share it with me too, I don't mind. For example, is this fic centered around you and Kevin too much? Do you want more Kiseop? etc. (: Thanks for reading! <3
