Because Of Him (1/1)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEd1x3nHoW0 ***********Late that night, the boys all appeared in the library. Alexander had gotten back from work by then. However, he knew that something disturbing had happened. Out of all of them, he was the most intimidating when angry. Right now, he demanded answers that no one wanted to give him."What did you do? The whole of Neverland was literally shaking because of the terrible weather and the dark aura that was cast everywhere!" he said grimly.Kibum looked uneasily at Alexander. "It wasn't intentional this time. ____ ran away and Kevin was panicking.""Was not!" Kevin glared at him. "It wasn't just me, everyone was concerned. Not to mention Eli's emotions going haywire again."Eli made a move to hit him, but Kevin dodged it quickly. "Shut up!" he said venemously."Eli, calm down. Now," Alexander said. The fury on Eli's face faded away, and he leaned back against a bookshelf, depressed.Alexander sighed. Being the oldest and the heir, he had the ability to control his brothers. But he couldn't do so for long while they were angry, not that he wanted to control them at all. He just wished that he had enough power to take away the empty feeling that Eli always had since the day Songhae disappeared."Kevin, tell me exactly what happened."Kevin relayed everything that had happened since they had first discovered you had been missing, about they're powers not working, them being unable to detect you. Alexander frowned, seeing the similarity of the situation compared to last time."What happened when you found her?" he asked.Kevin thought for a moment, searching for the right words to say. "It's hard to explain. She was dying," he said softly. "I was holding her, and she was dying from the cold. I tried to use magic to warm her, but nothing worked. Her heart stopped beating, I couldn't hear it anymore. But then she woke up. After that, my powers could work on her again."Kiseop watched his brother silently. He knew that Kevin would have probably been extremely distressed. He couldn't bear to think of you dying right in front of his eyes. *If only I could have been the one to find her.*"Are you sure that she died?" Kevin nodded his head. "Humans can't come back from the dead," Alexander said, thinking. "They die and their spirits linger around their world. Fairies disappear forever."Kiseop thought for a moment. "Kevin, did you do anything between the time when she was dying and when she woke up again?" Kevin shook his head."Did you... cry?""No!" Kevin said indignantly.Dong Ho scoffed. "Kevin, cry?"He, along with his brothers, could not remember a moment in their lives when they had witnessed Kevin crying. Not when he had broken almost all his bones when he was 10, not when Eli had mourned over Songhae, not when their parents had died. It was rare for a fairy to cry.Kiseop leaned in and looked at Kevin's face closely. "I'm being serious right now. This isn't a matter of pride. Did you cry when ____ was dying?""Please, I'm not you. I don't cry just for anything," Kevin sneered.*But it's not just anything," Kiseop thought. *It's for the girl that you love. And ____ means everything to you.* He looked at Alexander, who nodded."Did you or did you not cry?" Alexander asked him, making a wish.Kevin looked at his brother to retort to him, when he was overcome by a strong force."YES!" Kevin screamed, his voice echoing throughout the library. The princes stared at him. "Yes! I cried when ____ was dying in my arms! I couldn't stop it!"After saying those words, his mouth formed an O-shape as he stood there, shocked. Then, he realized what had happened. "God, don't ever do that again!" he shouted to Alexander, who shrugged his shoulders. "It's your fault for being stubborn.""Wow, you must really love ____ a lot, Kevin," Dong Ho smiled. "I want to be like you one day. I'll find a human or a fairy that I'll grow to care for, and I'll treasure her as much as you do!""A least he's good for something," Soohyun said wryly."This is just a guess," Kiseop said. "But I read somewhere that fairy tears are magical, stronger than most dark powers. They also have the ability to bring things back from the dead. Fairies rarely do it, though, because according to the book, we're selfish and uncaring creatures.""So I saved her?" Kevin asked, astonished. *I was the one who stopped her death?*By putting aside his pride, he had broken down and cried, and had unexpectantly brought you back to life."The ending part of what Kiseop said is true, at least," Kibum said, clicking his fingers together. A small ball of flame appeared over his palms. "Put that out," Soohyun said. "You'll burn the whole castle down." "So what? One wish and there'll be a new one tomorrow." "These books are irreplaceable," Kiseop said, frowning.Kibum shook his head. "You and your obsession about books."Alexander waved his hands, ordering them to shut up. He turned to Kevin. "You just saved ____ from death, you should let her know. She'll be grateful to you."Kevin looked at his brother silently.Alexander observed his brothers. "It's... possible that they've come back again."Dong Ho gaped at him. "But, then ____ is really in danger!"Kevin felt a mix of emotions. Worry, fear, panic. He was afraid for your safety.Alexander shook his head. "We don't know that yet, it's too early to tell. But from now on, we should make sure there's at least one of us around her. We can't let the same thing happen again," Alexander looked Eli, who was staring lifelessly at the floor. One by one, the brothers disappeared back into their rooms.Soohyun patted Kevin on the shoulder. "I have to hand it to you, you did good this time," he said, smiling. Kevin smiled back.Kiseop looked at Kevin from behind. He knew what his brother was thinking. He knew that although Kevin could be stubborn and violent sometimes, he was a very humble person.*You're not going to tell her, are you?*
