Decision To Stay (1/1)

"He can be whoever he wants to be.""True, but you don't actually make very good role model," Kiseop said, his eyes fixed on his book. Kevin glared at him."I'm sorry to say I have to agree with Kiseop," Kibum chuckled.Kevin turned to him. "It's not like you're a saint, either. Should I let ____ know exactly what you're always up to besides playing pranks and performing card tricks?""Go on, I'll just tell her everything little dark fact that she needs to know about you," Kibum sneered, and disappeared back into his room as well.Kevin rolled his eyes. *Immature.*You smiled at him. Even though the brothers fought sometimes, you knew that they didn't actually mean to hurt one another. It was just their way of getting along.Kevin looked at you. "Shall we go up?" You nodded and he walked out of the room to wait for you. You stood up and saw that Soohyun was already sleeping on the couch."Goodnight Kiseop," you waved to him.Kiseop smiled and got up too. "Get a good rest, after everything that happened today, I expect you'll feel rather tired tomorrow.""Don't worry about me, I'm okay. And I'm sorry again for running away," you said sheepishly.Kiseop went over and petted your head. "It's alright, just don't do it again. When you did, I was rather scared," he admitted. You felt warm inside when you heard his words. It made you happy to know that he cared about you like that.Kevin frowned as he watched the two of you interact from the doorway. He didn't like the fact that one of his brothers, especially Kiseop was so close to you, it made him unsettled. You said goodnight to Kiseop and left the room, still in thought. You bumped into Kevin and he looked at you expressionlessly. He held out his hand, not saying anything.*Did I do something wrong?* you wondered why he was suddenly acting so neutral. You placed your hand in his and the two of you appeared in front of your rooms."Well, goodnight Kevin."He nodded to you and walked to his door. As you were about to enter your room, you stopped."Kevin."He looked at you."Thank you for saving me earlier. I don't know what would have happend if you hadn't been there. Thank you," you said sincerely.Kevin stared at you for a moment. "Just stay safe, and listen to my warnings next time. I was worried too," Kevin said quietly."Okay," you gave him a smile, touched that he had said that. You went into your room. Kevin stood outside his, looking at your closed door. *Don't run away again. I don't know why it hurts so much when you do, but the thought of you being so determined to leave me makes me upset,* he thought solemly. He entered his own room, still wondering about the question that you had refused to answer earlier. You let your little bird out and it chirped cheerfully."I didn't go afterall, fate keeps bringing me back here. At least, Kevin is."You stroked the bird as it perched itself on your palm. You realized that Eli hadn't gone to find you.You looked at the moon from your window and saw that the storm had subsided. Staring at the night sky, you admired the billions of stars that you could see. You remembered stargazing with Kiseop in his room, and his sweet lullaby. *Hwa Young, I'm sorry I can't go home. I just don't know how. Although the princes may seem harsh and cold on the outside, they're actually kind. I don't have the heart to leave them, and they won't let me leave anyway. I'm choosing to stay here for now, but I promise I will come back. Please forgive me.*
