"My room is right next to yours, so don't think of sneaking out or anything while I'm here, because I will know," he said."Yes," you replied nervously. His room, like everything else in the castle, was large. It was black and white, with checkered patterns everywhere. It was like a 3D chessboard. You looked around in amazement. He lead you to the couch and motioned for you to sit down next to him."I bet you have a lot of questions, don't you?" Kevin said. You nodded."Well, shoot."Whenever you were with him, you were always slightly cautious around him, afraid that he would hurt you again. But at that moment, you had forgotten about that and focused on wanting your questions answered."Okay, how can you heal people? Who are you and your brothers? Are you human? What happened to your parents? Where is this place? Why is it that only the seven of you live here? How on earth did you manage to afford it?" you rambled on.Kevin's expression turned sour, but you didn't notice and kept asking."How did you throw that boulder at Kiseop? Why did you? What do you have against him? What's with your temper? Why did you bring me here? What about my sister? When can I go back? What-""Aish!" Kevin shouted, he was beyond annoyed. You winced. "Sorry...""Just give me a minute to cool down." Kevin closed his eyes. You bit your lip. You had forgotten that he got mad easily. *I should be more careful,* you thought, remembering Soohyun's advice.Kevin opened his eyes again and you looked him expectantly."Okay, to answer your questions, you need to know about me, my brothers, and Neverland. This is ancient place, far from your world, the human world. It's also known as the shadow world, the world of non-existence.""You mean, we don't exist?""We do, but in reality, this world doesn't exist. It is in the form of our minds. That's why we, my brothers and I, can control it.""I don't think I understand.""Let me show you."Kevin lead you to the balcony connected to his room. It was snowing lightly outside, and there was a slight breeze. You breathed in, glad to smell fresh air.Kevin reached his hand out, his palm facing up.All of a sudden, a baby bird appeared in it. You gasped, joyful. It was tiny! It's big, brown eyes looked up at you with innocence. It fluffed it's little feathers and tried walking on Kevin's palm, stumbling and eventually falling down down on its butt. It was absolutely adorable. He smiled. Normally, he wouldn't use his power to do this sort of thing, it was beneath him. But your happy face made up for his loss of pride."Here," he handed the chick to you. You gently held it in your palms."You can have it, I you like cute things," Kevin said, not looking at you.You smiled at him, touched.*Wait, how does he know I like cute things?* You decided not to ask him, one more question might make him mad."How did you make it appear?" You pet the chick's head lightly."I wished it."You looked at him, surprised. "What do you mean, you wished it?""When my brothers and I make wishes, they come true in Neverland." Kevin put his hands on the railing of the balcony and stared out into the sea of snow and ice way down beneath them. You looked over the edge and gulped. The castle was so high up, it was long way down."How does that happen?" you asked him. You weren't sure whether to believe him or not, but he and his brothers had done many things that no ordinary person could have done. How could that be explainable?"Our parents had that gift. They passed it down to us. We don't know much about them because we practically grew up by ourselves. They were always busy tending to the important matters in Neverland. we all stayed in the castle, but we almost never saw them. And when they died, we took care of ourselves," Kevin said. You noticed that he sounded slightly bitter, and decided not to talk about his parents anymore for now."So you wish anything and it'll happen, just like that?""Yes, we've always had that gift. We could wish for the weather to change, for food, for things, anything. But we cannot wish harm on one another. At least, not direct harm. For example, you can't wish for them to feel pain.""But you can wish for something to be thrown at them?" you asked incredulously."Pretty much," Kevin smirked, getting what you meant."This is insane," you stated. "You say it with your own eyes," he crossed his arms. "You tell me whether you believe it or not.""I feel like I'm going to wake up in a hospital the next minute and be told by a nurse that I had a concussion," you said honestly.Kevin laughed. "You humans really are strange."You tilted your head in confusion. "Why do you keep referring to me as a human? Does that mean you aren't one?"He didn't respond. He turned around and walked back into his room, you followed him, careful to make sure the baby bird didn't fall. The screen door for the balcony closed behind you. He went out of his room and entered yours. Kevin clicked his tongue and all of a sudden, a bird cage appeared by your bed. You stared at it, and then you looked at him questioningly. "What? I thought you might want to keep the bird." He shrugged. You were shocked. Since when had he been so kind to you? "I can really keep him?" you asked happily."Yeah, but you have to take care of it, and make sure it doesn't cause any trouble. If it does, we're feeding it to the dogs, got that?" You held a hand over the chick protectively, blocking it from Kevin's sight. "I promise I'll take care of it, thank you," you said politely. He nodded. "So, to answer your question, no. None of us are really human.""Then what are you?" You opened the bird cage and carefully placed the chick inside."Some call us fairies. Some call us demons." He grinned at the thought. "But don't worry, as long as you behave, I'm sure we won't hurt you."You smiled weakly."For your other questions, I'll answer them another day," Kevin said."How will you remember them all?"He smirked. "I'm not human, remember?""Oh, and since you didn't eat earlier, here." A tray of food appeared by your bedside table."Thank you," you said quietly."Eat it all, and then you can go and explore the castle if you wish. If you need help, just call one of us, and whoever's free might come."You nodded, "Alright.""And one more thing, you are not allowed to go to the East Tower, do you understand?" he said, his voice becoming serious."Y-yes..."With that, Kevin left your room and shut the door behind him.
