"Sera Unnie's been acting strange lately," Sarang said while biting her lower lip and scrolling through her notifications on the phone. "Strange like?" Sehun asked, glancing at her for while before fixing his gaze on the road ahead. "She's acting extra sweet. She was recommending me some stuff for the wedding this morning," Sarang chuckled in disbelief. "She probably really got over Oh Sehun then." "You think so?" Sehun mumbled, remembering that one meeting with her sister which really didn't turn out good. But he wanted to hear the whole deal before spilling the beans to Sarang. He wasn't sure if she would believe him even if he repeated, word to word, what her sister had said. Kim Sarang still had her guards up, prepared to bolt away from him if anything went wrong. "That's great then, isn't it?" "I don't know, but I'm really worried about her," Sehun frowned looking at the frown on her face. "She used to like you so much. How did she even get over you so quickly?" "I don't think she got over me yet." "Probably she's just pretending to be happy so that I'm happy too?" Sarang asked herself as she mumbled. "I don't think that's true either. She's pretending to be someone she's not. I don't have a good feeling about this," Sehun said with an worried expression. "From now, tell me everything that she tells you, okay?" Sarang arched her brows at him. It was written on her face that she wasn't going to do that. She was going to do everything but that. It was stupid of Sehun to ask that of her, knowing she loved her sister and belived her so much. Sehun immedaitely regretted saying that, wondering if she was cutting his marks in her head. Sehun gulped, looking away because he couldn't meet her gaze anymore. Was she angry? "Should we just doubt her?" Sarang finally spoke. "She's probably just really hurt inside and she's trying her best to get over you," Sarang said dropping her phone on her lap. Sehun cleared his throat, "Let's do this to make sure that everything she tells you matches with what she tells me. I hope you understand. I don't want anyone to mess up our wedding," Sehun explained when he stopped, seeing the red lights glaring back at him. There was a silence in the car and Sarang was surprised to not hear another word from him since she knew 'silence' was an invisible word in Sehun's dictionary. She glanced sideways at him to find his eyes glued on her already. "Am I rushing things? I'm sorry," His eyes were full of sincerity and Sarang sighed internally because he was kind of right. "It's okay. I understand." Sarang said keeping her gaze into his eyes. The signals turned green after a while and Sarang looked away when he resumed driving. She observed the scenery looking out of the glass window. It was quite strange to have rains in November but it was still raining. "If you really liked me back at school, how come you never talked to me about it?" Sarang asked out of the blue. "We had different schedules and I wasn't all into serious dating because I was into studying. I didn't want my drama in your life," Sehun replied. "Strange. You're not really my sister's type if you used to study so hard. She never liked that kind of boys," Sarang said, picking up her phone again and unlocking it. "Did she talk about me to you?" Sehun asked. "Of course. She could talk about how tall you are and how good you look all day long. She kept blabbering about you after she saw you at some party." "And did you not ever see me in the school?" asked Sehun with a smile playing on his lips. "Of course I did. Min Oppa used to be the captain of the school basketball team that you played in. I went to some matches since Unnie often used to be the cheerleader for you guys." Sarang checked the time, seeing how it was already getting dark. "I sometimes saw you in the hallways too." "Did I look cool to you?" Sehun asked. "You? Honestly, your friends looked cooler. I still remember that tall guy with big ears. He looked the coolest to me." Sarang answered, flashing one of her smiles. "That dork," Sehun muttered under his breath. "The brunette girl you used to hang out with was a little prettier than you," He lied. "Well, you still like me and not Irene. Though she liked you lot too. Didn't you ever have girlfriends, Sehun?" Sarang asked. Sehun took time to form an answer inside his head. He couldn't lie and just say he didn't when he told her he'd be completely honest with her. "I did," he nodded. "Tell me more," Sarang dropped her phone and looked at him as if he was telling her bedtime stories. He arched his brows in question seeing her enthusiasm; the girl he was getting married to was asking him to talk about his ex-girlfriend with so much spirit. "There's nothing much to say, actually. I'll tell you some other time," The car stopped in front of a large mansion in the distance. "We're here," Sehun sang the words before unbuckling his seat belt and getting out of the car to help Sarang out. It was already dark as they climbed the marble flight of stairs together. "I have an elder sister, Kim Yesul. You know, she used to be Oh Yesul but she got married. She lives in Australia now. Sarang, your hand is so cold," Sehun abruptly took her hand in his and she did think of yanking her hand back but for some reasons that she didn't really want to acknowledge, she let them be. "Your hand's the same, Sehun," Sarang said with a chuckle. "Is it?" Sehun smiled sheepishly. "Never mind then," Sehun squeezed her hand but didn't let go. Another smile crept up Sarang's face but she didn't really want to smile. She had spent the whole day with him and she was afraid to admit that she was slowly getting comfortable around him and it was fun to have him around. "It's November already," He said walking ever so slowly. "Hmm...but it's still raining. Sera Unnie's birthday is on November." "And?" Sehun asked. "What and?" "Our engagement's this month too. We're getting married next month. aren't you excited?" Sehun was acting like a girl by the time, squealing and shouting and Sarang never knew this side of him existed until then. She simply nodded, not interested in ruining his excitement. She was plain confused about why she was marrying him really. "They just decided about the marriage last week. We need time, don't you think?" She said with slumped shoulders. "We have time, Sarang," Sehun squeezed her hand once more. "We've got all the time in the world."
"Dad, look." They snapped their heads towards the entrance of the mansion and spotted Jaerin and Mr. Oh. Sehun pulled Sarang towards them with a bright smile on his face. Sarang smiled too, ducking her head a little when she met Mr. Oh's eyes. Her smile grew wider when she saw Jaerin waving to her excitedly. "They already act like they're married," Jaerin added, patting arang's shoulder affectionately. "I'm so glad you came Sarang," Mr. Oh said with a warm smile. "How are you, Mr. Oh?" Sarang inquired shyly. "She's coming with me," Jaerin pulled her inside before she could hear an answer, leaving a disappointed Sehun behind. "I'll show you my room, Sarang," Jaerin said, "You should sleepover for tonight. We can watch movies..." Her cheerful voice trailed away as they walked further inside. "Sarang knows Jae already?" "Yes, Dad. Jae knows Sarang more than I know her." Sehun answered, smiling while looking at their retreating figures. "She scolded me for not informing her about the wedding," Mr. Oh chuckled. "I hope you are treating Sarang well." "Of course, Dad. I've always wanted to do this. I'm glad I could make her smile today," Sehun replied. Mr. Oh patted his back, "That's my son." "I own more video games than Sehun does," Jaerin declared proudly as she pulled her games out from the cabinet underneath the television. Meanwhile, Sarang oggled at the collection of CDs that Jaerin owned. They both looked like toddlers with how they were squatting on the floor in the middle of the huge mess they had successfully created. "Woah, Chronicles o
