Operation: Refresh (1/2)

“How come Suho can’t make it?” Jinni questioned as they walked up a hill on the golf course.

“Something to do with studying?” Suho instantly covered. Truth is, he was still nervous about being left alone with Jinni. He wished that Baekhyun would drop by to check up on them spontaneously so that he could feel relief from the heavy anxiousness.

Jinni, on the other hand, was psyched to be alone with Baekhyun. She saw this outing as a way of getting closer to Baekhyun. She too felt a bit nervous, but she stayed in her true character so she could display herself as an interesting girl. Even though, Suho had already took note of that.

They finally reached a perfect spot. Jinni had no knowledge of golf, but she was willing to learn, especially since Baekhyun seemed to have a passion for the sport. And she would’ve never guessed.

Suho took his special golf club out of the bag and lifted it in the air.

“Isn’t she a beauty?” The golf club was glistening under the light, and it reflected on to Baekhyun’s orbs.

Jinni giggled at his sillyness.

“You want to go first?” Suho suggested.

She wanted to impress Baekhyun so she didn’t back down from his offer. Her hand gripped on to the club tightly, as she walked to the starting point. She cleared her throat a bit before opening her legs to create some sort of posture that she thought would be a good stance.

She swung her arms back with the golf club about ten times before attempting to hit the golf ball. Instead, Suho’s special golf club twirled in the air before landing into the sandy area of the golf course.

Suho chuckled at the sight of seeing her cheeks redden. Jinni was absolutely humiliated. Not only  did she fail in front of some expert golfer, she just had to fail in front of the expert golfer Baekhyun.

Suho grabbed another golf club out of the bag and walked towards her. He stood behind her and guided her on what the correct form was when it came to golfing. Her feet were aligned with her shoulders and her back was just about straight. He took hold of her hands and also guided her with how to swing. Jinni’s heart was twirling almost like the golf club she idiotically released into the air earlier. Carefully he taught her how to swing accurately and in no time, she actually hit the ball towards a far distance.

She laughed, amused at what she had just accomplished.

“See! You did it! I knew you could.” Suho praised.

“Wait until Suho hears this!” Jinni beamed.

Suho caught her last statement. And that’s when he realized that he wasn’t in his current form. Right then he had wished he were in his own body so that Jinni could rightfully credit whom she had shared notable moments like this with.

“Jinni can I ask you something a little strange?” Suho was too bothered with his curiosity to just hold it in his thoughts.

“Go ahead.” She smiled as an agreement.

“If there were someone else with my exact personality now, would you consider liking them, instead?”

Jinni cocked a brow from hearing Baekhyun’s sudden inquiring.

“Are you trying to set me up on a blind date or something?” She frowned.

Suho shook his head frantically.

“No I’m not implying anything. It’s simply a question. I’m just curious, you know?” He sincerely remarked.

Jinni thought for a bit. Someone did come to her mind, but Suho didn’t choose to read her mind at the moment. Alternatively, he wanted what her heart was telling her.

“Truthfully, since you and Suho are best friends, he reminds me of you in some ways. And you remind me of him. It’s probably just a best friend thing though, right?” She giggled.

Suho didn’t know whether what she was saying was a good sign or not. Since Baekhyun was in Suho’s body, there’s no question why he would remind her of Baekhyun.“What do you think of Suho?”

Even though Suho knew he wasn’t going to get accurate answers of what she really thought of him, he continued interrogating her to see how much of an impact Baekhyun made on her using his body.

“He’s a really great guy. He’s caring and helpful. Before actually getting to know him, I thought he was some bookworm who didn’t know how to have fun, but now that I’ve gotten to know him better I actually like having him around. And I realize he’s a really good-looking guy. It’s weird how he doesn’t have a girlfriend!”

Suho smiled at hearing her compliment him. Jinni hadn’t even realized she was feeding his ego. Well, she was only really acknowledging his appearance, since everything else didn’t apply to him. How he wished that that were actually him she was illustrating.

“What do you think of me?” He thought maybe he’d get a little more of truth from seeing how she liked him at the moment.
