Analyzing the Outcomes (1/2)
“Baekhyun, I never knew you were into golfing.” Jinni stated, as she and the boys stood in front of the local sports shop.
Suho and Baekhyun glanced at each other, before Suho began to speak.
“I know it’s surprising, since a guy like me right? Playing golf.” He madly chuckled, sneaking a look at Baekhyun’s expression written on his own face.
Jinni nodded.
“I guess I don’t know you that well enough.” Jinni disappointedly confessed.
The thought was left alone, as the three of them made their way in to the store.
Suho marched his way to the customer service, demanding a refund for his fraud of a golf club.
Baekhyun and Jinni were left at an aisle consisting of different brands of balls. She was still bugged at the thought of not knowing Baekhyun enough.
Firstly, she wasn’t aware about his birthday not being celebrated with his parents annually. And moments ago, she was just informed of his passion for golf.
Her release of a heavy sigh got Baekhyun questioning.
“The matter with you?”
“Suho, remember how you said you’d be here to help me with Baekhyun?”
Baekhyun nodded, trying to piece out what she was getting at.
“I still feel like I don’t know him. Is there any way you can get me and him to hang out?”
“Just the two of you?”
Jinni nodded desperately.
Baekhyun took a glimpse at Suho, before letting his head nod cautiously.
“I’ll see what I can do.”
And with that, Baekhyun made his way over to Suho, delivering a request along with him. He whispered Suho’s name quietly, so that Jinni wouldn’t overhear. When he finally got his attention, Baekhyun pulled him aside four aisles away from where Jinni was roaming.
“Jinni wants to spend some time with you.” Baekhyun sternly said.
“Aren’t we already?”
“No,” He pressed a finger on to his chest. “Just with you.”
Suho clenched his jaw hearing his best friend’s nerve-wracking news.
Well, he thought of it as nerve-wracking, since he never really experienced legitimate alone time with Seong Jinni.
And the fact that he was in Baekhyun’s body didn’t even comfort him.
“Baek, you know I need you there.”
Baekhyun envisioned what the outcome of the two spending time alone would be like.
He shook his head frantically.
The two being left alone together would be a terrible idea. Though, Baekhyun was confused as to why he was concerned with leaving his actual self with Jinni. Perhaps, it was because he believed Suho would ruin his image.
But isn’t that the concept they were aiming for?
To have Jinni run to Suho, in need of comfort. To have her, fall for Suho instead?
The lady handling customer service was calling Suho back to the register. This gave Baekhyun some time to think everything through much more thoroughly. He felt like something was being done wrong. The feeling had suddenly just overcome him. And so, he was left pondering deeply.
He thought and thought. It felt endless for him. And when he finally figured out the basic idea of what was wrong, that’s when Jinni showed up in the aisle he was in.
“Suho, anything?” She ran to his side, anticipating for good news.
Baekhyun lifelessly nodded. He stared at her with eyes that spoke the words that he was in dying need to verbally say.
Just then, Suho joined their conference.
“Guys, I got two free tickets to an all-day access to a golf course! I couldn’t refund the dang golf club, but the nice lady over there had the heart to gift these to me.”
Jinni was thrilled, seeing that it was an open opportunity for alone time with Baekhyun.
Baekhyun stared at the tickets in Suho’s hand.
“Suho, you want to come with?” Suho acted.
Jinni’s shoulders deflated. Her high hopes were crumpling into nothing.
