Baekhyuns Birthday (Part (1/2)

Jinni found herself skipping in the halls in such a cheery mood. All the while, she had thought of who's day it had belonged to; in which it was Baekhyun's. Like usual, she found herself waiting near Baekhyun's locker. Ironically, she tried to be  nonchalant about her guard-dog approach.Of course, the people of Capable High knew of Jinni's good mood. The delightful weather said it all.

It was precisely thirty-two minutes until class was in session. Jinni had anticipated for Baekhyun's arrival. She had put much thought to her gift for him this year. After being accompanied by his trusty best friend, Suho, she felt that with his simple words of advice, she had unlocked the rightful offering to present to him. Baekhyun and Suho were living in their own regular living space. It wasn't much of a problem, since both of their parents were constantly out of the house. It wasn't much of a choice, since Baekhyun and Suho's parents were gifted with such highly praised powers. They were considered significant mutants and had special treatment to remain significant. The only real difference with not having a vast amount of time spent with their parents was, Suho actually did long to be with his parents, while Baekhyun didn't give much thought about them.

Back when he was younger, he was acually carefully nursed by his own parents, just as any child typically was. Though as the years had gone by, they had put him in his own hands to live independently. Of course Baekhyun had felt abandoned, maybe even neglected, but he still pulled through all the years. Unlike Suho, he had never admitted the lonely feeling he had truly felt. Something was peculiar. Although Baekhyun and his parents weren't in too close of terms, each year they had left some sort of voice mail, greeting their only son. It was the least they could do, even if it wasn't enough to cover all the time they weren't there for him, but it was something. He usually listened to them talk just as he awakened in the morning, but this time there was no call, not even a voice mail.

What was also peculiar was that Baekhyun had actually remembered it was his birthday.

And with what thought did he possibly remember this so-called, non-occasional day?

Seong Jinni may be the reason.

"Seong Jinni's gift."His fingers pinched the bracelet Jinni had placed on to his wrist. He suddenly recalled the gift that was meaning to be a surprise for him.

"What could it be?" It was a first for Baekhyun to have quite a curiosity over Seong Jinni's doings. Though, he couldn't help but feel he should. He finally bolted up out of bed and headed to the bathroom with the variety of ideas of a gift along with him.

Suho made his way to Baekhyun's place. He made sure not to sway his arms, it was a habit of his whenever he was excited. Since he held a bag that had contained fragile content, he wanted to be cautious about not ruining it. He whistled one of his made up tunes and continued his path to his best friend's house.

Suho reached into his pocket for his phone. He decided to inform Baekhyun that he was only a short distance away from his house. When he finally got a hold of it, his eyes left the focus to what was ahead, and instead transferred to his phone screen. A strange jingling sound echoed into Suho's mind, but he was too absorbed in texting that he had just brushed it off. A voice had then screamed into his head and he finally realized that his mind was signalling him to look up. He came in contact with a girl on a bicycle riding recklessly. She seemed to not know what she was doing as she was yelping her way down the side walk. Suho figured she wasn't familiar with the use of breaks. When she was only inches away from running him over, Suho used his stength to halt the bike. In which the process lead to the crushing of the fragile content of the bag. Instead of fully stopping the bike, the girl and the bike had collapsed on to him. He groaned knowing that the soreness had already overcame his body.

The mysterious female had finally come to her senses. She brought herself back on to her feet and immediately dragged the bike away from Suho. Her facial expression showed much concern.

"I'm so sorry! My mom suggested for me to ride my way to school." She hung her head low as she spoke faintly. She offered a hand to Suho and he had no hesitation to accept it. She then helped him get back up. Suho stared at the crumbled paper bag. He only sighed at the sight.

"It's fine." With the tone he was expressing, it was obvious he wasn't. Before he could fully sulk, he caught a glimpse of who she really was.

"Wait we go to the same school, right?" He had recognized her soft tone of voice.

"Your power is... Sonic screaming?!" He was delighted to interact with a girl with such an ironic power.

She was so soft spoken. When she put her power to use, it was told that it could damage your ears permanently. That is, if she cranked her voice to the loudest.

She nodded, and felt flattered that he had recognized her.

"And you're Baekhyun... Power of Switching bodies?" The girl wasn't out of the loop. She knew the student body well, even if they weren't too familar with her. Suho just happened to be intrigued with her power, since it was so unexpected of her. Hearing that she recognized Baekhyun, he right away went in character.

"That's me. It's not like I'm putting my powers in use now. Nope not at all. I mean, I've never even used it. Crazy, right? I'm too much of a klutz to handle my power. Can you believe it?" Suho rambled ever so randomly, and it actually had her giggling at his dorkiness. He wasn't too good at maintaining Baekhyun's cool image. Suho's ringtone had suddenly gone off. He had totally forgotten that it was set to one of the most childish ringtones. Another way of ruining Baekhyun's cool image.

He excused himself, before answering the phone.

"Where are you?" Baekhyun groaned.

"Sorry, a little traffic jam on the way."

"Since when do you have a car?"

"Ah, nevermind. I'll be there in a bit."

"Making me wait! Hurry!" Baekhyun frustratedly hung up the call.

Suho examined the bike. He specifically ran his hand over the handle breaks. With a hard push of the handles, they finally loosened back into place.

"Keep your word about riding to school. See you later, Sonic." He grinned as he picked up the ruined paper bag off the ground. Suho hurriedly made his way to the impatient Baekhyun.

"Baekhyun!" The girl called him once again.

Suho turned his head back.
