Chapter 5 – Lee Sunny and Yoona’s Suspicions Eight in the evening swiftly took over and Yoona bid farewell to Donghae and Jessica. “Unnie, Oppa, I have to go now since my dad would be arriving from Tokyo!”“Ok!” Jessica yelled as she got her bag. Donghae offered to turn everything off. After walking out of the shop, he said, “Uhm Sica, it’s my younger sister’s birthday today…and…uh…” while rubbing his nape, unable to utter the right words.“Weeell, a-are you inviting me over?” She said as she sweetly smiled to him. He shyly nodded and hailed a cab on the way home. Soon they arrived in front of a quite big house. Jessica didn’t expect Donghae to be quite rich. From the outside, you could clearly hear party music of teenagers. Donghae knocked on their door twice while Jessica was fixing herself from his back. Then a petite young girl in pigtails in a high school uniform opened the door, still laughing. “Oh Oppa! You’re home!” She said while smiling widely. “Where’s my gift?” She pouted while extending her hands with palms wide open in front of her Donghae Oppa.“Ta-da!” He said cutely as he raised a paper bag. His sister was in excitement world when she noticed something moving behind her oppa’s back. “Eh?” She asked him while pointing at it.“Oh. Yah Sica, show yourself.” He encouraged her. She popped out from his back as if doing a peek-a-boo with his sister.“Happy birthday! I’m Jessica Jung! And here’s my present! A cake from our teashop!” She greeted her brightly even though there was a hint of shyness in her voice and eyes.“Eo? You actually finally brought a girl here?!” She squealed happily as she dragged Jessica in. “Thanks for the cake unnie! Come on in!” Donghae just smiled while following them closely behind. They found a number of high schoolers in the house partying with the birthday girl. She brought Jessica to buffet table and offered her to eat. “Hi unnie! I’m Lee Soon Kyu but I prefer to be called Sunny!” She said as if she has sunshine in her voice. “Grab some food if you wanna. I don’t want my oppa’s girl to be starving in my party.” She said while getting dragged away by her friends.Her brother’s girl?She thought. Tch. She smiled a little while getting various food.“Is she the one?” A handsome guy in black specs asked Donghae.“Yep.” Donghae responded.“Seems like she’s loyal to your childhood buddy. Just be sure you will not be the one who’ll make her not loyal.” He teased.“Yah Kibum-ah. What are you saying??” He loudly whispered with slight annoyance.“Well, I dunno. Maybe she’s the key to your heart.” Kibum teased some more.“Yah, I was told to protect her and make sure she’ll not look at other guys. Not look at me.”“Whatever you say, dude.” Kibum said as he sipped some of his cola.Meanwhile, in the Im’s residence, they were also having a feast for their father’s return from Tokyo. They were happily eating until Mr. Im mentioned something to Yoona. “Oh Yoona, I was having my monthly check up yesterday when I passed by your unnie’s boyfriend, J-jae…what’s his name again?” He said while chewing.“Jaejoong Oppa?”“Yeah! Him. But I saw him with a petite lady, and she kissed him on the cheek before leaving. If I were you, better warn your best friend about it.”Yoona then began chewing slowly as questions filled her head.When Sunny finally had time for herself she then went near Jessica. “Hey unnie!”“Oh hey there birthday girl!” She said while eating a slice of pizza. Sunny sat beside her.“Finally! I’ve been waiting for an unnie. It’s pretty lonely here in the house. And not just an unnie, but oppa’s girl.”“Y-your oppa’s girl?”“Yeah. I often hear him singing love songs anywhere nowadays and at meal times, he always mentions the name Jes—“ Sunny was cut off with Donghae’s palms on her mouth. She slapped her oppa’s hand numerous times to loosen his grip to her face as he dragged her away.“Ok birthday girl, time to open your presents!” He said worriedly and sarcastically. He signaled Kibum to help him out to bring Sunny to her friends before she could even reveal things to Jessica.“Hey sorry ‘bout that.” He said while taking a seat beside Jessica on the couch.“A-are you talking about me with your family?” She said shyly but with a little smile.“Me? Wha— no…I mean…come on.” He hesitantly said and Jessica just laughed at the situation. When everyone was starting to head home, Jessica also decided to go home. As usual, Donghae escorted her back.“Thanks Sunny! Great party!” She said while waving at her and Sunny was flashing her infamous aegyo to her newly met unnie. The crickets filled the night as they approached Jessica’s house using Donghae’s car. Jessica wanted to change the music but she didn’t know Donghae also wanted to. Both their hands reached out at the same time to the radio when they touched. Both looked at each other’s hazel eyes still not letting go of each other’s hands. “Oh sorry.” Jessica apologized as she let go and quickly looked away to avoid any awkward conversations.“It’s ok.” Donghae said while blushing. When Jessica bid him goodbye, he was left alone in his car. He touched his hand then his head thinking, “What the heck is this sensation in me from her touch?” Off he drove off.On the other hand, Jessica kept on thinking about her night; Donghae talking about her in his family, Sunny thinking that Donghae and her is an item, and their hands touched and that moment, she could clearly hear her heart rapidly beating and she was afraid that Donghae might be able to hear it.“Aish! I just need some sleep!” She reprimanded herself and went to sleep.Donghae arrived in no time in their house and when he opened the gate, his eyes landed on a guy’s back who was hugging Sunny romantically!When the boy heard the gate opened, he broke the hug and dashed off the gate. “Good night, hyung-nim!” He lastly said nervously as he left Donghae standing still there, dumbfounded, and Sunny looked extremely nervous and worried with a please-don’t-tell-mom-and-dad look on her face.He just smirked at his danshin dongsaeng and picked up an ID from the ground. “Lee Sungmin. Oh, so that’s his name. Oooh, and a senior like you.” As he slowly walked past by Sunny, she grabbed his biceps swinging them back and forth. “Oppa, please don’t tell mom and dad! Please please please please please!!!”“Hmmm…MOM, DAD! SUN—“ Before he could even continue, he earned a slap on his lower face as Sunny covered his mouth harshly.“Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaase~” She said with aegyo but what can she do? Everyone in the family except for her dad is immune to that.“Aish. I’m not falling for that anymore but since you said please, I’m gonna make a deal with you.” He now moved closer and bended a little to his little sister as if about to whisper something, and Sunny was just nodding her head eagerly. “You won’t say a word to Jessica about anything that I do related to her and I won’t EVER tell umma and appa about that Lee Sungmin guy, arasseo?”“Arasseo!” She said while saluting at him, ready to march towards her room.“Yah, and you would only go out with Lee Sungmin on my permission.”“But—!”“No buts.”[a/n]Chapter 5 is here! ^^ Oppa is here!
