Two Weeks Later (1/1)

Fast forward to two weeks later...."Great job girls." Daeryong complimented. The two of you had just finished the last mile of the last day of training."Thanks." You managed to say while wiping the dripping sweat off of your face."Alright listen up." Soryong ordered as he made his way over to you and Min. "Today was the last day of conditioning. For the last two weeks, the both of you had made outstanding improvement. Daeryong and I think you're worthy of moving onto the next stage of training; however, the two of you will have to pass our obstacle course first."Daeryong continued explaining, "Based on your performances for the last two weeks, we're pretty convinced that you'll be able to pass the obstacle course with flying colors. There's a 12 minute limit for both men and women. If you want more information, just ask Infinite about it. They have some of the best times that Woollim has ever seen, I'm sure they'll be of help.""Why am I not surprised..." You said sarcastically."What aren't they good at..." Min mumbled to herself.For some reason, the fact that Infinite has one of the best times didn't even seem surprising to you or Min. Things like that didn't feel like a new thing anymore, like it's expected. If you were compare Woollim to a football team, Infinite would definitely be the star quarterbacks. "You know, with the kind of energy that you girls have, you might just have a chance at beating their scores." Soryong said, attempting to liven up your spirits."You know what, how about we make this a little more fun?" You said with a slight smirk."What do you mean?" The twins asked, dumbfounded."Who has the slowest time in Infinite and what was their time?" You asked eagerly."Uhh, I think it's Sungjong. His time was 9 minutes and 3 seconds if I remember correctly." Daeryong answered, still confused."Okay thanks. We'll see you tomorrow, bye!!" You yelled and ran off, draggin Min off with you."What was that all about?" Min questioned."Let's make a bet with Infinite." You said with hopeful eyes.Min stared at you and thought for a little bit, "As long as it isn't anything crazy... I guess I'm up for it.""You'll see when we get home." You assured Min. At home...All of you guys had just finished eating dinner and everybody was just relaxing at this point. You seized te opportunity and spoke up about your idea. "Guys, Min and I wanna want to make a bet."Sungjong looked over at the two of you, "What kind of bet?""Well.. you know how we have to pass the obstacle course tomorrow?" You asked."Yea.. what about it?" Hoya replied."Well I or we were just thinking that if we can at least beat Sungjong's time during the obstacle course then...." You trailed off, waiting for their reactions."Then.... what?" Woohyun asked, suddenly interested. "Then... we can both can get 3 wishes?" You said, hoping they would agree. Min eyed you, slightly confused. You gave a look that signaled just trust me."Three wishes... That's not so bad, we can do that right guys?" Dongwoo asked."Fine with me." Sunggyu said and the rest of the guys agreed to it as well."Hold on..." Hoya spoke up. "3 wishes for beating Sungjong's score... shouldn't it be a little harder than that?" He raised an eyebrow."Dude, almost all of the girls that are trained at Woollim barely make it in 12 minutes let alone 9, don't you think it's already hard enough?" Myungsoo argued."What do you want us to do then?" Min questioned.Hoya blinked a few times and then answered, "You should at least beat our precious leader's time."Sunggyu glared at him. "What's his time?" Min asked."8 minutes and 24 seconds." He replied."You twisted your lips to the side and thought for a moment. "Done."Everyone looked at you as if you were crazy, even Hoya was taken aback at how eager you seemed to be."I guess it's settled then..." Sungyeol said."If you two can at least beat Sunggyu's score then we'll grant you 3 wishes." Woohyun relayed."Promise?" Min asked and stuck her pinky out.Woohyun chuckled and stuck his pinky out as well, "Pinky promise." "Awesome, you guys are the best." You smiled. There was a hint mischief in your eyes but no one noticed. The next day...Min and you met up with Soryong and Daeryong in the gym. They made you guys warm up a little bit first by running 2 laps around the gym and stretching to prevent pulling a muscle."Lets head over to the course now." Daeryong said.You two nodded and eagerly followed the twins outside. The course was behind the gym and you could already see Infinite messing around on the obstables. Soryong blew his whistle at Infinite, "Time to stop playing guys."The guys did as they were told and walked to the side in order to have a better view of you guys.The obstacle course was similar to a military one. (Like the one below. Use you imaginations! ^^)(Play Music!)The two of you stared at the course, observing and familiarizing yourselves with the obstacles that you would have to face."You guys ready for this?" Daeryong asked.You and Min nodded in sync.."Alright so who wants to go first?" Soryong asked.You and Min turned to each other and with just one look, you guys decided."I'll go first." Min said with her hand raised up."Nice." Daeryong said and led Min to the starting line."Good luck!" You yelled.She turned around and gave you a thumbs up.Infinite cheered for her at the sidelines.You stood just a few feet behind her, watching her intently as she shook her hands as if to get rid of the nervousness."Ready..." You heard Soryong say. "Get set..." He blew his whistle and Min made a run for it.Min looked calm and passed the first few obstacles swiftly. She faltered a bit with the rope climbing but a burst of energy consumed her and she quickly recovered from it. Soon enough, she got pass the last obstacle and dropped to her knees, panting.Daeryong handed her a bottle of water and she gratefully accepted it. For the people watching, it may have seemed like a short amount of time, but for Min, it felt like forever. "So what was my time?" Min asked as her eyes filled with hope."Sorry to be such a tease but we'll announce your time after Hana finishes." Soryong said.Min just nodded, too exhausted to be frustrated.You headed over to the starting line and you could hear the guys cheering for you. You cleared your mind and blocked everything out except for the sound of the whistle. "Ready!" Soryong announced. "Get set!" And the sound of the whistle penetrated your eyes.You sprinted towards the first obstacle and climbed over the wall. Most of the obstacles were a piece of cake but there were a few that caught you off guard. Before you knew it, the finish line was already in view. You were at the second to last obstacle when you suddenly tripped and almost fell off. Balance was certainly one of your downfalls, which is why you never learned to ice skate.You staggered, trying to regain balance and the voices of everyone cheering you on could faintly be heard. Motivated by their cheers, you stood up and ran down the steps as fast as you could, sprinting towards the last obstacle and crossing the finish line.You collapsed on the floor and your chest heaved up and down. Your anemia was kicking in again and you felt light-headed, but with all the stamina that you built up from the past two weeks of conditioning, you managed to at least stay concious and not faint again.The Infinite boys gathered up around you and Min showering you in compliments about how well you did."So how'd we do?" You asked the twins, still panting."Both of you did exceptionally well." Daeryong praised."What were our times?" Min timidly asked."Well I hope a certain someone doesn't get too shocked about your times." Soryong glanced at Hoya and back to you two.You caught on and stifled down a giggle that attempted to escape your mouth."Okay, Min first. 7 minutes and..." Soryong paused."7 minutes?!" Everyone's eyes widened."40..." He paused again."Can you get on with it already, I'm dying to know now." Hoya exclaimed anxiously."Alright alright, 7 minutes and 48 seconds." Soryong said with a smirk.Hoya's jaw dropped.The rest of Infinite giggled at Hoya's reaction."I don't get it... what's so funny?" Min asked."It's funny because you tied Hoya at having the best time in Woollim." Daeryong answered.Hoya facepalmed. It was the first time that he felt intimidated by a girl, let alone one that he might even have feelings for."What about me? What was my time?" You asked curiously."Well, Min's not the only one that tied with someone else." Daeryong said."I think you could've been faster if you hadn't tripped but you tied with Woohyun." Soryong informed."And what was Woohyun's score?" You wondered."8 minutes and 2 seconds." Soryong replied."Yes!" You screamed and hugged the person closest to you tightly; which just happened to be Myungsoo. You let go of him, "That means we get our wishes!" You said and high-fived Min."Congrats, you guys passed the obstacle course. Now you get to train with Inifnite." Daeryong said with a smile."Thanks for everything guys." You said and hugged the twins with Min."It was a pleasure working with you." Soryong said as he hugged you two back."Well we've gotta run, duty calls." Daeryong said.You guys said your goodbyes and the twins went on their way.You and Min washed up in the locker room and headed out to the parking lot where Infinite was already waiting for you guys in their cars.Feeling exhausted, you took a small nap in the car while Woohyun drove.When you guys got home, Woohyun slightly nudged you to wake you up. "Wake up Hana, we're home."Not wanting to move, you held your arms out, signalling for Woohyun to carry you instead.Woohyhun chuckled, "Since when have you been such a lazyhead." But he carried you nonetheless."Since forever." You groggily replied.He piggybacked you into the living room and set you down on the couch. You rubbed your eyes and gave your face a few slaps to wake yourself up. Min walked into the living room and plopped down beside you.A few seconds later, Infinite piled into the living room as well."I still can't believe that Min tied with Hoya. This is the best day of my life." Sunggyu joked.Hoya facepalmed once again."I don't understand what's so surprising about that. Min was in JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps) for like two years, did you guys forget already?" You said."No wonder..." Dongwoo marveled."I didn't even want to be in it, mom and dad made me. I can see why now." Min shrugged."What about you Hana?" Myungsoo asked. "You're one of the laziest people I know next to Sunggyu. How did you get tied to the second best?""Hearing you say second best hurts man." Woohyun said, clutching his chest as if his heart were hurting."Determination at it's best." You answered with a proud smile. "And I didn't know you were second best, that's great." You complimented Woohyun.Woohyun smiled bashfully at the compliment you gave him."You guys wanna explain to us how we're gonna be training from now on?" You asked."Well Min should be interested about what we're doing first. Gun handling." Sungyeol informed."Awesome." Min smiled happily."Everything is hands-on activities with your training so none of it should be boring." Dongwoo explained."Are we going to learn about how to defend ourselves when someone tries attacking or kidnapping us?" Min wondered."Of course. Hoya's gonna be the one teaching hand to hand combat; he was a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo when he was younger." Sungjong informed."Each of us will be responsible for teaching you two. Hoya will teach self defense and hand to hand combat, Dongwoo and Woohyun will handle driving, and Myungsoo and I will take care of gun handling. As for Sungjong and Sungyeol, they will be in charge of communication purposes. It may not seem important but knowing how to talk to people in certain situations actually plays a big part in being an agent." Sunggyu explained.You and Min nodded, taking in the information."When will we train in driving?" You asked excitedly."In two weeks. We'll be spending a week on each subject and since we're teaching you gun handling first and then self defense, the third is driving." Sungyeol said.You pouted, "I guess waiting another two weeks isn't so bad.""Don't worry, two weeks will be over before you know it." Sungjong replied."We'll see." I was going to update last week but I kept getting distracted. I hope this longer chapter will make up for it.Honestly I'm a bit disappointed with this update but I hope you guys don't mind it. I haven't edited it yet either so forgive me for any mistakes.Hopefully I'll be able to make the next chapter better. See you guys soon!
