Holiday: Oh My Chanhee! (1/1)
Holiday Part 3Like a dream, he swept her off her feet and carried her to their hotel room. She giggled earning the looks of the others in the hotel lobby.“Please enjoy your time in Hong Kong,” the receptionist smiled before handing them the keycard to gain access to their room.“You know, you didn’t have to do this,” she said as they reached their room which had the view of the city.“I know, but I wanted to,” he replied as he planted a kiss on her forehead.“Thank you,” she said.“Don’t thank me, it’s my pleasure,”“Not just for this, but for everything. You didn’t have to stay with me when I was still at the farm. You didn’t have to change your identity for me. You could have gone back to your life. You left everything and everyone behind for me and you didn’t even have to.”“I know. I did it for you because I love you. Wherever you are, my heart is there too and I can never be too far away from my heart. Nothing can tear us apart,” he said pulling her into an embrace. This time he would make sure his mother would not get in the way, he would make sure that she couldn’t hurt him.Love is something that you just can’t fake and expect to pull off. Myungsoo could not just move on with his life and pretend he didn’t love ~~~~~~, he tried that once and he just couldn’t do it.And just then, there was a knock on the door. The bell boy must have arrived with the bags. ~~~~~ opened the door and smiled as she let the bell boy walk in who was accompanied with another person.“Hello, I am Chanhee, the manager so please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you on your stay,” the other male spoke in Chinese as the bell boy continued to unload the bags.“Oh My God! Lee Chan Hee!” ~~~~~ squealed as she realised who the male was.“~~~~~~? Kim Myungsoo? I thought you guys had died! That’s what we were told. I can’t believe this,” Chunji was speechless. The media had basically informed everyone that the two had most likely died in their attempts to get away.“What are you doing here? I thought you would be in Seoul,” Myungsoo asked, confused as to why Chunji would acquire a job in Hong Kong and not in South Korea.“Working my way up to being chairman; somehow I have to prove to my father that I can be responsible enough to take over his company,” Chunji sighed and dismissed the bell boy who bowed as he left.“Your father owns this hotel?”“Indeed he does , ~~~~~~, you’ve probably stayed at his other hotels too if you’ve gone to Singapore, Japan and even in Korea he has hotels.” Chunji said.“I can’t believe you are being serious. From my memory, you were the playboy he didn’t care. What ever happened to you?” ~~~~~ could not believe that the boy she once knew could become this man who had a sense of responsibility and pride lingering in his presence.“It’s a long story,” Chunji sighed.“And we’ve got all week, so spill”“Well I guess it starts with when you left ~~~~. Hye Su was in a really bad state, all she ever did was cry and sleep. For an entire month after we were told you had died, she wouldn’t leave her bed until necessary. She missed the college entrance exams. She wouldn’t let any of us help her get out of her zombie state; she just pushed us all away. I myself didn’t sit any entrance exams either; I didn’t have a clue what to do with my life. One day, my father saw Hye Su crying as I tried to comfort her and he assumed that I had hurt her and I was playing with her feelings and I guess that’s when the final straw broke. And in short, he gave me an ultimatum and here I am; from bell boy to manager. To be honest, I haven’t seen or heard from Hye Su since I left Seoul,” Chunji recalled.“And you’re luck you haven’t seen her,” ~~~~~ Mumbled to herself but the other two heard her.“And why is that? Have you seen her?” Myungsoo asked clueless.“Let’s just say, she’s change and not for the better,”“But what can you expect from her? Pain changes you and you start to see things differently.”
