Jessica stared at the ribbons of power swirling around her, the multitude of worshipers welcoming their new Goddess of Time. Her long purple dress felt like a second skin, her hair styled in an elaborate coif and making her scalp itch with the pins that held it in place. Her father nodded his head at her as he slipped away, off to the Elysian Fields to take his eternal rest, his mantle of power settling over her shoulders for the long stay.“All hail the Goddess of Time, Chronosia!” The cry went up from those gathered, and while Jessica’s face was schooled into a perfect smile, she was already working her first act as the Guardian of Time. She could feel the days twist past her consciousness, wreathing her way back in time even as her body sat on her new throne amongst countless guests.
