Chapter 29 ~ Kim Hyuna (1/1)

You all decided to split up half and half with a buddy system. JunHyung, DuJun and YoSeob would share a room, HyunSeung, KiKwang, and Dongwoon would share a room, Yong Guk, DaeHyun and Zelo would share a room, and JongUp, HimChan, and YoungJae would share a room. Hyuna CL and Miryo would all stick together.So many people in one house makes you feel more comfortable. It’s even fun. The tension between the Beast and BAP boys had eased up… except for Guk and JunHyung. As dinner nears, you all begin to feel hungry and make your way into the kitchen together.“Alrighty, tummy time!” Himchan smacks his stomach as he looks around the spacious kitchen area.The guys chuckle as DuJun and JunHyung pull out stuff from the cupboards.“Does anyone know how to make pizza from scratch?” HyunSeung asks with his wide eyes.The group becomes quiet as they exchange glances.“I sort of do.” CL speaks up shyly.“Can’t we just order a pizza?” Zelo asks.“I don’t want to open the front gate anymore.” JunHyung reasons.“As if a gate could keep them out anyways.” Guk adds and the group looks at him awkwardly for starting on a sensitive topic “What are they going to do? Disguise themselves as pizza delivery men?”“You never know.” JunHyung shrugs as he sets everything out on the counter. “I just feel more comfortable this way… what with it being my house and all…”The group is quiet again as JunHyung stops what he was doing to look into Guk’s hard eyes. You place your hand on Guk’s arm, sending him telepathic messages to calm down.“Anyways…” JongUp says quietly.“Right!” DuJun claps his hands together and brings attention to himself. “CL, what do we start with.”CL smiles sweetly and moves to his side to look through the ingredients. She looks around the circle as she picks out what she needs. “Well, we’re going to need a lot of dough!”Everyone starts moving to make their own pizza in pairs. Guk stays by your side and soon the tension melts again as each group begins to laugh and talk while making pizzas. KiKwang finds the surround sound system in the family room and blasts music throughout the house’s built in stereos. Brown Eyed Girls “Abracadabra” comes on and Kikwang comes sliding into the kitchen on his socks. Himchan races to his side in time for the hip part of the beginning of the song. Soon DaeHyun and then YoungJae, Zelo, and HyunSeung join into the dance. Himchan grabs a wooden spoon as a mic and walks around the kitchen singing to the song. Everyone laughs as has their fun.You kneed into your dough laughing when you look up. Across from the kitchen counter, JunHyung and Yoseob are working on their own pizza, but JunHyung catches your eyes and smiles. His smile is faint. Almost as if he pities you. You shoot him a confused look before Guk elbows you. You look up to him.“Yah, pay attention to your cooking.” He says. “Someday you will have to know how to cook.”“Ah that’s right that’s right.” You laugh as you get back to work.You glance at him in time to see him shoot a snarl towards JunHyung. It somehow pains you to have the two dislike each other so much. You shake your head in aggravation and pound your annoyance into the dough.The music pizza party gets pumping when 2PMs “Hands Up” comes on and the BAP boys pretend to get drunk off juice from the fridge. When Zelo opens a can of pop that sprays all over Dongwoon, your eyes widen. Dongwoon is still for a moment as he looks at his shirt drenched in soda. Then he smiles and reaches for his own can, shaking it up, he chases Zelo around the counter.JunHyung laughs as he puts his hands up in defense as Dongwoon runs around him. Then he goes to the fridge and pulls out a beer. He pops the top and takes back a drink before returning to his pizza.Supreme Team’s “Dang Dang Dang” comes on and YoSeob goes wild.Everyone seems to be on hyper mode as flour and dough fly through the kitchen. Songs shake the house as everyone dances crazily to each song. Once the oven dings for the pizzas on each rack, everyone tries to eat between their laughter. After all the pizza is devoured… everyone passes out. Lying on counters, on the floor, covered in flour, drenched in soda, on the couches, in chairs, everyone seems to have crashed. Only you, CL, JunHyung, Guk and DuJun remain awake as you attempt to clean the mess throughout the house. You and CL wipe the counters as the guys circle the downstairs collecting trash.CL moves towards the kitchen table as JunHyung drags in a full trash bag.He smiles as he comes near you. “How’s it going?” he asks.You smile back but keep to the counter. “It’s alright for me. How about you though?”“Hm I’m fine. Glad you back here.” He smiles.You nod and smile but wonder what happened to Son Dambi. Wasn’t JunHyung happily seeing her?“I feel good now that we’re here.” You choose your words carefully.“I bet.”You can’t help but yawn as the clock nears midnight.

“Tired already?” he smiles.“How can you not be?”“Why don’t you go lie down in the family room? Not many people are in there. It’ll be quiet. I can get the rest of this stuff later.”“Really? Hm, alright.”You toss the rag into the sink and make your way to the family room. You have a slight limp but manage fine. You pull a blanket from the floor and curl up on the couch. Just when you get comfortable you look up to see JunHyung coming in too. He plops down on the couch next to you. His arm goes behind you on the couch but doesn’t touch you. You didn’t know that he intended to join you.“Remember when we first became friends and I brought you here because of that incident at your home?” JunHyung says.You nod. JunHyung doesn’t know that Guk was that so called incident. “Scary times.” You mumble.“Mhm.” JunHyung’s hand goes to your injured ankle and gingerly touches the bone.“JunHyung…” you whisper. “What about… Son Dambi?”

“What about her?” JunHyung asks as he pulls his hand back.“Are you still seeing her?”“Yeah, of course I am. She means a lot to me.”“Oh good.”“But you mean a lot to me too.”You’re quiet. You weren’t expecting that. Your head rattles with what you could possibly say in return.“But I mean…” JunHyung continues. “You mean a lot to me in a different way. It’s hard to explain. It’s like… when we first met I really liked you. And it was so sudden. I had always liked Dambi but I never thought she would feel the same way. So I thought I was having feelings form for you. Then… I don’t know stuff happened. And I still have what’s left of those started feelings…but my feelings for Son Dambi are stronger.”You nod understandingly.“What do you think?” JunHyung asks tentatively.“I think… I’m glad.”“Glad?”“Glad that you and Dambi are happy.” you nestle into the side of the couch and your eyes become heavy. “But I’m also glad in a way that you still care about me too… in a way.”You are glad. Very glad. It had hurt when JunHyung suddenly came and left you, leaving you bewildered and confused. It had all occurred so fast that you never had a chance to sort out your feelings. You knew you liked him. You always would in a weird way. But Guk you liked more. You had more with him. Guk was to you like Dambi was to JunHyung. Everything seemed to make sense and be okay now.You smile to yourself as your eyes drape shut.
