Chapter 28 ~ TOP (1/1)

TOP leaned up against the black van parked just outside the city. Hidden under the shadows of the bridge overhead, no one would see them as they drove by. Just half a mile down the road were the estates where that boy had taken in the BAP boys, and Hyuna with them. What was that kid’s name? JunHyung? No matter. TOP waiting along the van in quiet. TaeYang sat in the driver’s seat, playing music on the radio. DaeSung was getting stuff together in the back of the van. GDragon and Seungri would be back soon. GDragon. He was going to be mad. Pissed.“Ugh.” TOP sighed as he rubbed his forehead. He brought his hand down to his slightly crooked nose and twisted it. Hopefully it wouldn’t get broken again.“What’s up?” TaeYang asked from the rolled down window.“Just wondering what we’re doing here, that’s all.” TOP answers.“What do you mean? We’re waiting for GDragon and Seungri to meet up with us.”“Not that! Just never mind.”“Well, if you didn’t mess everything up all the time we wouldn’t be here.” DaeSung called from inside the van.TOP scowled and shrugged off the van. He whipped around and gave the side of the van a big kick. DaeSung yelped from inside and hit the wall back.TaeYang chuckled to himself as TOP turned back around to face the road with his arms across his chest. The rain was steady outside. It was getting darker.TOP paced for a moment listening to the sound of his shoes against the pavement. Then he stopped. He listened for a moment. TaeYang stopped the music and looked at him.“What is it?” Taeyang asked.“Sh.” TOP replied as he put his finger to his lips and stared off to concentrate on listening.TaeYang was quiet. The can creaked as DaeSung crawled out the back and walked around. He joined Taeyang at the window and they watched and waited with TOP. They listened hard but couldn’t hear anything.TOP walked off a bit, straining to hear something. He stopped. Then his eyes widened and we whipped around.*BAM* the fist collided with TOPs nose again.“Argh!” TOP wailed as he stepped back from the impact.*WHAM* another blow to the side of his face.TOPs head spun to the side and he tripped, falling face first into the wet pavement below.He grunted as he pushed his face away from the concrete. He looked up to see Seungri with DaeSung and Taeyang. They were all looking down at him with pitied faces. TOP scowled and closed his eyes as his hand went to his freshly bleeding nose.“What the hell, TOP?!” GDragon thundered from above.TOP was still on his hands and knees on the pavement. His hand at his nose. GDragon kicked his ass and he went flying forward and sprawled out on the road.“Raaaahhhhh!” TOP yelled as he pushed himself off the ground and flung himself at GD.His punch was easily deflected with a swipe of GDragon’s hand. In return, GDragon kicked him in the butt again, sending him further into the middle of the road.“Why don’t you channel that anger of yours in the right direction!” GD snapped.“I think I am.” TOP huffed as he straightened up and advanced towards GDragon. He threw two more punches which were deflected again, and he got a slap across the face from GDragon in humiliation.“Why is it so hard for you?” GD asked him angrily. “I yelled at Guk thinking you could easily fill his void but you’ve done nothing! You can’t get a child either!”“What’s it matter anyways?” TOP asked as he felt his burning cheek, red with GDragon’s hand print.“What’s it matter?!” GD thundered and lunged forward, knocking him on the other side with a firm hit. “We’ve only been working on this from the beginning! You know how hard it was to find Guk and his BAP boys? All those able-bodied guys as angry with President Kim as we are? And then because of Guk’s mistake, we lost them all. Now because of your mistakes they’re actually getting stronger.”“Who cares!” TOP shot back as he and GD squared off in a circle so TOP was closer to the van. “Who cares about that girl! Who cares about Guk and his little friends! It’s not their revenge I want it’s my own! Where does Hyuna or her sister even fit into this now?”TOP threw another punch, this one GD couldn’t back away quick enough. TOPs fist landed his chin and twisted his head.GD twisted back to see TOP smirking and TaeYang, DaeSung, and Seungri watching with wide eyes. They must have been thinking the same thing TOP was.“I’ll tell you where.” GD said as he straightened up and slowly walked closer to TOP. “The whole point was to make President Kim feel the type of pain we felt. The pain of losing something precious to you. A man like Kim, there’s only three things you can take. His dignity. His business. And his family. He took our homes. He took our happiness. Kicked us out into the world. Took our families. And thus took our dignity as we rummage through allies to live while he’s up in a mansion. The plan was simple. Take his daughter. Use her to ruin his business. Get money while we’re at it. Get rid of him and his businesses and start it from the beginning. Think of it as cleansing if you will.” Now GD was in TOPs face. His lips parted over his teeth like a rabid dog as he talked. He growled every word. “If you don’t want to be with us, TOP then leave and be with the BAP boys.” GD threw a quick punch into TOPs jaw, jerking his head back. GD was quick as he hooked an arm around TOPs neck and his leg around TOPs leg. He threw TOP over his side and landed him on his stomach in the pavement. GD pulled TOPs arm behind his back to keep him down. With his other hand he forced TOPs face into the road. “Is that what you want TOP? To be against us?”TOP grunted and tried to wrestle under GD’s grip. Suddenly the road began to get lighter in front of TOPs eyes. GD looked to the side with TOP. Headlights lighted the road a way away and were coming nearer fast. TOP grunted more and fought more to get away from GDragon, but he was held tight.“What is it TOP? Going to hear me out and stick with me on this?” GDragon continued as he pushed TOPs face harder into the road.Taeyang, Seungri, and DaeSung looked back and forth between each other.“Hey, GDragon, I don’t think…” Seungri began.“Shut up!” GD snapped. He growled as he put his weight on TOPs face.“Ah.” TOP winced as the lights brightened his face.“GDragon really. C’mon.” TaeYang urged.“I want to hear TOP tell me if he’s made up his mind or not!” GDragon said.They watched as the car came closer. TOP grunted more but was unable to move. GD refused to budge.“What’s it going to be?” GD asked.The lights of the car lit the whole bridge. There wasn’t room for the car to pass without hitting either the van or TOP and GDragon. The horns blared and the breaks squealed but on the wet cement it was on a crash course for them.“FINE!” TOP shouted.GDragon jumped up and yanked TOP with him. The car shot by, horn still screeching. Once past it spun out of control and ended in the ditch. GDragon and TOP raced across the road to the van. GD hopped into the passenger seat as the others piled into the back. TaeYang pulled the van out from under the bridge and down the road.“So, boss,” TaeYang began, “What is the plan now?”GD looked to him and then out the window.“We can make this work.” he said. “With Hyuna out of the house, Mr. Kim must be feeling pretty down still. It’ll make it hurt all the worse to bring his daughter in front of him now. Seungri and I staked out at the President’s house. He’s still there. Doesn’t look like he’s thinking about leaving any time soon. All he does is pace around the house and make phone calls. Probably looking for Hyuna. What about the Beast boys?”

“You were right.” TaeYang said as he glanced to the back. DaeSung sat on one side of the van and watched as Seungri dabbed at TOPs bloody nose. TOP was silent, leaning against the wall of the van, staring straight ahead. “The BAP boys took the girls to the Beast boy’s place. Looks like they’re all in there for the night.”“Sounds like a party.” GD smirked as he looked to the rear view mirror. TOP glanced over and caught GDs eyes in the reflection.
