Chapter 10~Bang Yong Guk (1/1)

Miryo and Guk sit quietly at the dinner table and eat ramen. The atmosphere is tense. Miryo seems upset and for once, she’s not talking.“Uh, Miryo?” BYG asks without looking up from his dinner.

“Yeah.” Her head pops up, happy for some conversation.“Is Hyuna going to come eat dinner?” he asks.“Hm, I don’t know. Why’d you make her upset?”

“I didn’t do anything.”

There’s a moment of silence while they stare at each other.“I’ll go ask her.” Miryo finally gives in.BYG pushes his ramen around as he wonders whether or not Hyuna will come down. She can’t stay up there all night can she? She has to eat, doesn’t she? Yes, she should eat. She’s too small.Miryo bounds down the stairs after about ten minutes. Her face seems brighter but her eyes are full of mischief.“What did she say?” Guk asks, sounding a little too eager.“Nope. She’s not coming down.” She replies, taking her seat again.“What? She has to eat!” BYG’s voice raises.“Hm, she says too bad.” Miryo shrugs.BYG slams his chopsticks down and pulls away from the table abruptly. He stomps to the stairs and stops before going up.“Hyuna!” He shouts, full annoyance in his voice. “Hyuna, come down here!” he demands. “This is ridiculous! You’re being so immature! Come down here and eat something!”

Silence.

“HYUNA!” his voice is the loudest it’s been yet.

He hears Miryo snicker and he turns. She’s casually leaning up against the wall, her bowl of ramen in her hands. Her eyes are open as she stares at him while she eats. Secrets are in her eyes.“Where is she?” BYG demands immediately.“Gone by now.” she replies simply with a smirk.“Gone? Gone?! Where?” his voice thunders as he marches towards her.“Don’t know. She just climbed out the window, and left.”

Miryo and BYG hold another stand-off before he speed-walks past her in rage. He grabs the keys off the counter and heads for the front door. He stops when he notices Miryo right on his heels. She looks up at him in curiosity and then smiles.“Guess you’re not going to let me come along either, right?” she asks.“No. Stay here. Lock all the doors. Hide or something. Just until I get back. Understand?”“Sure, sure, whatever you say, BYG.” She mumbles something under her breath as she takes to the stairs.“Shit.” BYG mumbles more swears under his breath as he gets to the car and pulls out.Where could she have gone?Then he remembers TOP coming back with a busted nose. He had been after Miryo that night. He had been drinking that night. That meant a bar. Or a club.And Yong Guk sped down the roads towards the city.
