Exhausted (1/1)
“Henry!” Amber called, yawning tiredly. “Come here.”It took a second, but he did as she asked. “What’s up?”“Can you take the baby? I have to finish a term paper that I have to turn in by tomorrow.” Sighing, she got onto her feet.He smiled, kissing her pouting lips before grasping the baby. “Of course. Take your time, babe.”“Thanks.” She breathed, excited to finally have a break.Henry helped out a lot, he really did; but she was losing more and more sleep lately and a cup of coffee and a few hours on the internet would help brighten her mood a little. It had been around a month or so since the baby had been born, and since she hadn’t really been out unless it was to buy diapers or food which was usually Henry anyway, she craved socializing with people other than Henry and Henry Jay. She loved them both dearly, but she really needed to see some of her other friends once in a while. The entire apartment had been thoroughly cleaned; it was no longer the hectic mess she recalled seeing sometime this morning. She snuck a glance at the bedroom with a weary grin, making a mental note to thank Henry for his efforts later. She stumbled towards the coffee machine and poured a cup, pleased to find it was fresh. Again, it had to have been Henry. He was so sweet, too sweet. She smiled to herself as she fumbled around for a mug, stunned to find a sticky note on her favorite mug.Fighting, Amber! You’re literally the best damn mother I’ve ever seen. We can do this, okay? Make sure you don’t drink too much caffeine, you have to be able to sleep later. I’ve made you a sandwich- your favorite, just in case you’re wondering. It’s in the container in the fridge. I love you~She beamed,
