“Ready?” Amber asked, supporting Henry Jay’s head as she held him against her chest tightly to keep him warm.Henry nodded, adjusting the camera settings and pushing the red ‘record’ button. Amber gave him a thumb’s up, moving to climb into the bath tub. He offered Amber a hand to be sure that she wouldn’t lose her footing and slip, which she took gratefully.She settled him into the three inch warm water, a shiver running up his miniscule spine. It was not as hot as she was used to, but it was the perfect for the baby (Henry even used a thermometer to be sure it was the exact temperature) and the bathroom itself was pretty comfortable (Henry was sure to adjust the thermostat to the recommended 75 degrees).She cupped some of the water in her free hand, running the liquid fluidly over his small head. He let out a tiny cry, his limbs thrashing aimlessly. Amber cooed at him, placing her finger in his clenched fist to let him know she was still there.“Henry, hand me the baby soap.”He kept the camera focused on her as he reached behind him to grab the special body wash made especially for babies. He handed it to her carefully, being sure to avoid going over Henry Jay’s head.
