Welcome To Korea: Part 1 (1/1)

After two and a half hours of riding on a plane, Luhan finally reached his destination, Seoul. Unfortunately, he did not feel very well; he was green in the face and he felt nauseated. The ride on the plane was not a pleasant one for him. He expected his first plane ride to be filled with enjoyment and excitement, but he never knew he could get plane sick, until it hit him. When the plane landed, he quickly grabbed his suitcase at the luggage counter and he headed out to search for the nearest men’s washroom.            Luhan found a washroom rather quickly by reading the directions on a map. He thanked himself for learning Korean beforehand; it was extremely helpful in a situation like this, and he was pretty sure it would be more helpful when he attends school and when he meets new people.             After he finished using the washroom, he made his way out of the airport, and into the streets of Seoul.“Once you get to Seoul, there will be a car sent to you from our company, waiting in the parking lot,” Mr. Park told Luhan over the phone, when Luhan was still in Beijing.Luhan scanned his eyes around the parking lot, hoping to see if he could find the car. The weird thing was that, Mr. Park didn’t tell him what the car looked like, so Luhan didn’t really know which car he was looking for. After searching for a few minutes, to his relief, a car pulled up in front of him. A tall thin man in a black suit stepped out of the car and looked at Luhan; he was wearing sunglasses. The man pulled out a picture from his pocket and examined it and then examined Luhan. “Are you Luhan?” he question.“Yes, that’s me,” Luhan answered back, in his best Korean. The driver beckoned Luhan to get in the car and then he drove Luhan to SM Entertainment.When Luhan arrived to SM Entertainment, he was led into the building and into an office. In the office, there was a middle age man with glasses sitting on a black chair behind a desk.“Welcome, Luhan,” the man said. “My name is Lee Soo Man and I am the founder of this company. Please sit!”Luhan sat down and introduced himself, feeling nervous that he was meeting the mastermind behind the popular Kpop groups: SNSD, DBSK, and Super Junior.Lee Soo Man chuckled and praised Luhan’s ability to speak fluent Korean. He then called for someone on his cell phone.Moments later, a tall young male, with a slightly tan complexion stepped into the office. He had big eyes and full lips; he was handsome.“Yes, Mr. Lee. Did you call for me?” the young male asked.“Kai, this is Luhan and he is the new trainee that I was telling you about earlier. Please show him around the building. Also, bring him to the dorm and please tell him everything else that he needs to know,” Lee Soo Man replied.“Yes, of course I will Mr. Lee,” Kai answered back and he went over to where Luhan was sitting. “Let’s go.” Kai said to Luhan quietly, not looking at him. Luhan nodded his head and followed, saying goodbye to Mr. Lee on the way.Kai brought Luhan to the practice room and sat down on the floor. “Whew!” he breathed out. Luhan looked at him surprised. “Don’t mind me. I just get really nervous when I’m in the same room with Mr. Lee. He is so scary looking and he is so demanding!” Kai confessed. “Oh yeah by the way, my name is Kai! I will be helping you around, so you can get used to Korea.” He gave Luhan a boyish grin when he said this, showing off a perfect set of white pearls.Luhan smiled at the sudden change in Kai’s personality. “My name is Luhan and I’m from Beijing.”“Wow! Your Korean is amazing!” Kai replied, looking impressed. “How did you learn Korean?”“To be honest, my mother tongue is Mandarin, but I wanted to learn Korean. Me and my best friend really liked Kpop and Korean culture, so we took Korean classes together.  I have been learning Korean for four years now.”“That’s great! I hope you can teach me Mandarin someday.”All of a sudden, Kai looked at Luhan with wide eyes. “You are so cute!” he cried out of the blue, and pinched Luhan’s cheeks. “I never noticed until I looked at you properly! Your skin is so milky and flawless.”            Luhan smiled as he thanked Kai. “So er, do you mind explaining me where I’m going to live, where I’ll be going to school, and what I’ll be doing here?” Luhan questioned Kai.            “Oh right! I’m so sorry. I totally forgot for a second. Anyways, you’ll be living in a dorm a few blocks away from the company. You will be living with nine other people, including me.”            “So wait, there’s going to be ten of us living together in one dorm?” Luhan asked, looking at Kai, feeling greatly astonished.            “Don’t get scared! It’s actually really nice living with so much people. The Hyungs are really nice and it never gets boring. And plus, you get to room with me!” Kai added.            Luhan felt relieved by Kai’s words. He though having to live with nine other guys sounded really hard, but after listening to Kai’s comforting words, Luhan was anticipating it.            “You’ll be going to school at Seoul National School of Arts. Mr. Park already registered you, so you’ll be able to attend tomorrow morning!” Kai told Luhan. “Omg, this sounds exciting. We’ll be going to the same school! And after we come home from school, we’ll come here and practice dancing, singing, acting and other stuff. Usually it’s very tiring but I’m sure that you knew that before you joined, right?”“Yes, I’m aware that I might have to sacrifice a great amount of time, but I’m okay with that.” Luhan stated. “Since being an idol is what I wanted to do for a long time, I can dedicate myself greatly!”Kai smiled at Luhan. “I like your dedication. It seems like you will be a great trainee and a great idol in the future! Say, how old are you?”“I’m seventeen.” Luhan calmly replied.“What? You’re older than me by a year? I swear, you look like are younger than me!” Kai cried out, eyebrows raised.“I guess that you are going to be calling me Hyung,” chucked Luhan. “Anyways, I’m starving, can we get something to eat?”               “Let’s head to the dorm and eat! There you’ll meet the others.” Kai replied. With that, the two boys left the practice room and headed towards the dorm, home of the male trainees, now including Luhan.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This chapter might be a little boring, but I wanted to introduce Kai!
