The moment those doors opened, everyone’s eyes lit up. The blank expressions on their faces were terribly obvious; Nervous? Worried? Timid? I’m guessing it was a combination. Of course, there were also the odd ones who looked surprisingly confident. The entire crowd who then pushed and shoved one another to get into building suddenly looked extremely similar to a herd of sheep heading to their feeding field. That’s in my eyes at least. I, on the other hand, didn’t plan to participate in the chaos; even if I was probably ten times as desperate as them to get a job.I waited until I was the only left outside. Then, I finally and calmly entered what seemed like another dimension. As soon as I entered, I heard the water falling from the surrounding marble walls that had beds of colorful stones and rare plants at the bottom. The entire area was lit by the gigantic diamond chandelier that hung just above of the circular reception desk in the middle of this grand lobby. Black leather couches were also set up on designed carpets with a large coffee table at each corners of the space for guests. The first and second floor was easily accessible by the oppositely running escalators that sandwiched the reception desk while the six elevators in the hallway to my right were used to access the rest. There were fifteen floors in total.Still captured in awe, I took gentle steps on these pearly white tiles individually decorated with little specs of gold to reach the eager crowd hanging by the reception. Honestly, I was overwhelmed by simply being in such a high-class place. I seriously debated whether if I should just leave now and admit that I am indeed a chicken. My thoughts were quickly blown away when a middle-aged, sophisticated, and elegant woman along with her three built security guards approach us.My overly casual jeans and plaid button-up probably stood out way too much for her to handle as she gave me a thorough look from head to toe before making her announcement. I wasn’t offended though, I expected it considering everyone else was in their dress pants, dress shirts, skirts or dresses.“Welcome to our annual career fair. I’m Jung Seyeon, senior human resources manager. It’s nice to see that we have a good crowd as usual! Hopefully you all came prepared…”She glanced at me once again.“Now, if you could all please follow me up to the fifth floor where we will get the application process started.” We managed to squeeze approximately seventy people in all six elevators and got onto the fifth floor about the same time. There, were long tables lined the right and left walls with many employees behind them who began handing out clip boards that secured the application forms. At the opposite end was a mysterious door which I automatically assumed to be the interview room.By the time I reached an employee to grab a clipboard, all the chairs were taken. I wasn’t the only one in this position though, a batch of people were also left to stand.I then scanned around and found a nice floor space in the corner that’s a little away from the crowd. Perfect.I took my backpack off my shoulders and leaned it against the wall. I quietly sat down on the cold floor before I started writing with the blue pen given.Just as I finished my name, I noticed something rolling towards me in the corner of my eyes. It didn’t bother me until it reached my shoes. When I looked, it was a customized black pen with ‘S.J. Bae’ engraved.I picked it up and looked up to find its owner. It wasn’t hard; I immediately spotted a girl who was frantically looking across the floor. She had long, curly brown hair and was wearing a light-pink dress shirt tucked under a black, knee-high skirt. I couldn’t say much about her face as it was well hidden behind those thick glasses she had on.I didn’t plan on interacting with anyone except with those who will be interviewing m
