My eyes shot open, in fear. I breathed heavily as cold sweat covered my body.It’s that nightmare again; that nightmare that has haunted me since my very first night in prison.I gulped and blinked, staring at the dust slowly floating in the air for the longest time.Perhaps it was the amount of concentration I was putting in to follow these micro-particles but it actually took my mind off of the horror and calm me down.I was suddenly thankful of the overwhelming sunlight that invaded through the windows.If I could, I would’ve lied there all day but I knew that there were things that had to be done.It took me exactly ten minutes before I regained sense and managed to sit myself up.I immediately hit the side of my right arm a couple of times to get rid of the numbness. It was guaranteed from falling asleep on the floor of the living room, again.I then dabbed my moist forehead with the back of my arm. It’s over, it’s over. After getting ready, I leaned against the kitchen counter with a hot cup of tea in my hands. I can no longer remember how many times I’ve had that same nightmare, probably too much to even count. But every time it never fails to send chills down my spine.The first year of its haunting brought tears to my eyes without fail every morning. Now, I guess I got a little more prone to it. I’m glad, really.You know how people say dreams signify something? I’m a strong believer of this.This nightmare must contain a message, a message I just can’t seem to encode.It isn’t the time to be thinking about this though.I quickly chugged the rest of the hot tea down my throat and rinsed the cup leaving it on the rack to dry.With my backpack on my shoulders and a black cap on to cover my messy long hair, I headed to the doorway.I took a last glance at the clock after slipping on my worn out shoes.07:05, you’re late Im Seulgi. It was another early morning like any others of the year; busy streets, flustered people and a
