[M] Letter (1/1)

Momo storms out of the apartment, no shoes, no jacket, no phone, no keys—nothing. Nothing other than the letter in her hand and the name of the writer repeating itself in her brain. Adrenaline is coursing through her veins as she runs and runs with the rough wind. She furiously crosses the street with tears rolling down her face uncontrollably, causing the cars to honk at her. If she's fast enough, she might make it in time.It was an ordinary day, an ordinary morning for Momo and Dahyun. Dahyun was still turning and tossing in bed while Momo was in the kitchen, probably preparing breakfast like she always does. Some time later, Dahyun heard a knock on the door and she pretended to be sleeping."Baby, I'm gonna visit the store quickly. We're missing a few ingredients," Momo said, standing by the door. When Dahyun didn't bother to face Momo's way nor say anything, Momo walked over to the younger one's side of the bed. She crouched in front of the bed before gently tucking Dahyun's hair behind her hair, caressing her cheek."Do you want me to get anything for you?" Momo knew the girl wasn't sleeping, so she tried to fish the words out of her mouth. "I heard the drink that you were obsessed with a while ago is available again. Wouldn't it be nice to chug it down right now?"Momo mentally patted herself on the shoulder as she watched Dahyun's eyes flutter open. The younger one looked at her for a few seconds before averting her eyes."Yeah, that would be nice," she murmured under her breath, barely audible. But Dahyun got flustered when Momo suddenly jumped onto her feet with her lips curled into a smirk."Momo at your service, coming right up!"The older one bent down to leave a quick kiss onto Dahyun's cheek before walking out of the bedroom with soldier steps. Dahyun couldn't help but beam a smile at how Momo never hesitates on letting herself look like an idiot to make the younger one happy."Wait, Momo!"Momo quickly strided back into the room."I just—Thank you... for everything.""Of course, baby. You don't have to thank me for anything," Momo replies and threw the girl a warm and loving smile before walking back out of the bedroom.Dahyun had not been the same since the unfortunate death of her parents two months ago. It really hit a soft spot in her life, leaving her hopeless and broken. Hence the members have been trying their best to cheer the poor girl up and support her. Especially Momo, since they're sharing an apartment together and most importantly, they're girlfriends.Even so, it seemed as if Dahyun was getting smaller and paler every day due to the sadness and also the anxiety of receiving hate because of how long she had been on hiatus constantly creeping up on her. That's why she made up her mind not long ago.Dahyun no longer wanted to be a burden to her eight friends and let them worry about her. She didn't want to hold up the group anymore by causing their events to be postponed. And most importantly, she didn't want to make herself continue to suffer every time the memories of her parents would fill up her mind as she walked around the streets of Seoul. As much as she still wanted to be close to her friends, she thought it's better to get away from that country as far as possible, maybe for a little while, maybe forever. As soon as she heard Momo leave the apartment and lock the door, she grabbed her phone from the nightstand. Then, with trembling hands, she checked whether her flight to Japan got delayed or canceled. Her flight looked fine and Dahyun really could not say for sure whether she was happy or sad about it.She kind of wished something crazy would happen in the next few minutes, letting her use it as a sign to stay and fight her way through. But the other half of her wanted to leave as quick as possible. She also could not risk getting caught by any of the girls because she knew she would give in and ruin her own plan. However, she collected her puzzled thoughts and got out of bed, not wanting to waste any more time. She rushed to her wardrobe and grabbed the suitcase she had secretly prepared when Momo was at the gym from behind her hanging clothes. The fact that she was actually planning on leaving her friends without any last words made her feel like a selfish, dumb, and childish fool. The girls had given Dahyun a safe place to rant, get mental and physical support, and feel at home. Yet, Dahyun decided to discard all of their efforts and disappear.Dahyun always found herself wondering who would be by her side in her new apartment. Who would let her sob in their arms? Who would caress her hair? Who would kiss her tears away? Probably no one, because she knew someone like Momo showed up once in a lifetime. Although, that's exactly why she wanted to leave Momo behind. Dahyun didn't want someone as special as Momo to waste her time taking care of someone as troubled as her.Next, Dahyun found the folded letter she had hid inside of a book. She planted one last kiss on the writing of Momo's name before placing it on the table, clear for the older one to spot. Barely holding herself from breaking down, she left the bedroom and slowly walked through the hallway, letting her hand glide against the walls. She peeked into room after room, treasuring her memories with Momo.At last, Dahyun was standing in front of the main door. She grabbed her keys from on top of the cabinet as Momo's jacket caught her eye. She reached for it, pulling it up to her nose. The smell she adores filled up her nose, causing her to take it all in before unwillingly letting it go.She turned around, stealing one last look at the apartment before pushing the door open, locking it behind her, and running towards the street. To her luck, a Taxi was driving by and the airport is only about fifteen minutes away. So, she signaled for the driver to stop, and soon enough, Dahyun was on her way to the airport.Momo was strolling through the isles, precisely picking out things she thought the younger girl would like. She couldn't imagine how Dahyun was feeling, however, she always tried her best on being patient with her. She could see that it wasn't easy for Dahyun to speak up her mind. Although, Momo didn't mind waiting for the girl, no matter how long the wait might be.After about an hour, her cart was filled up to the brim with vegetables, fruits, drinks, and snacks. Actually, the drinks were taking up half of the space, since it was the one Dahyun likes. Momo truly spoils Dahyun with everything and anything she wishes for, and Momo almost enjoys it more than the other girl does. She would be lying if she said she wouldn't waste all of her money just to win the stuffed plushy that Dahyun wants at an arcade. With that, she went through the cash register and paid for everything before stuffing everything into her car. Not wanting to freeze due to the windy and chilly weather, she quickly hopped into the driver's seat and drove back to the apartment.Arrived there, she carried the bags into the elevator and went up to their level. She noticed that Dahyun's shoes were not in front of the door anymore, but she shrugged it off and guessed that she was probably just remembering incorrectly.Momo unlocked the door and came in with the bags, leaving them in the kitchen before taking off her jacket and shoes, throwing the keys onto the cabinet. Another thing that stroke her attention was the missing of Dahyun's keys. That's why Momo called Dahyun's name, but didn't get an answer. That added up to her shoes, keys, and her reply missing. It was only natural for Momo to immediately sprint upstairs to the bedroom with an unpleasant feeling in her stomach. She bursted into the room just to be met with an empty bed. The sudden wave of angst and panic made her heart drop. She quickly scanned through the room for any sign of the girl as her breathing got heavier with every second. But the only thing that she was able to spot was the letter on the table.Hello, honey.

By the time you've reading this, I'm probably very far from there. You must be really disappointed in me, but you have all the right to be. I'm really sorry, my love. I just really can't do this anymore, I give up. Could you please tell the girls that I love them? I love you guys so much, so much. That is why I couldn't watch you guys get weighed down with my problems anymore. So I've decided to leave, and take my problems with me. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to look better after me than you guys did, but I'll do my best. I wish I could've told you this in a better way, but I missed all of my chances, so I hope you allow me to have this one last chance.I thought about kissing you today, and yesterday, and the day before that. I know I'Il think about kissing you tomorrow, and the day after that, and some more days after those days. I think about kissing you slowly and tracing my fingers along your lips. I think about looking into your eyes for hours and getting lost in them. I think about the way you comfort me by caressing my hair, by drawing circles onto my stomach, by giving me your assuring smile. I think about kissing you in your car, in the rain, on our doorstep. I think about kissing your lips, your jaw, your neck. I think about kissing only you, not anyone else. Just you, my love.If we ever come across each other again, I promise it'll be different.

Stay safe, your Dahyuni <3By the time Momo finished reading, what seemed like thousands of tears had already dripped onto the letter and still continued dripping."No, damn it!" Momo yelled, hitting the table with her fist out of rage.Everything around her disappeared as she blankly stared at the letter. She reread the words again and again, thinking about where girl could have gone. In frustration, she dug her finger through her hair, slightly pulling at it. She tried to remember all of the places Dahyun had ever mentioned and might've decided to go to."Honey, which part of Japan do you think is the most beautiful?" Dahyun had asked her while they were relaxing on the balcony, the sun shining over them."Kyoto." Momo replied with a smirk as she knew that it was going to annoy Dahyun."Hey! Other than Kyoto!""Then, I would say Otaru. That city reminds me of you, actually.""Hm? What is that supposed to mean?""Bright and beautiful."Now, with the memory that hints at Dahyun flying to Otaru, Momo storms out of the apartment, no shoes, no jacket, no phone, no keys, absolutely nothing. Nothing other than the letter in her hand and the name of the writer repeating itself in her brain. Adrenaline is coursing through her veins as she runs and runs with the rough wind. She blandly sprints across the street with tears rolling down her face uncontrollably, causing the cars to honk at her.Dahyun is impatiently sitting in the waiting arena with her suitcase. She already managed to get through the paper work part. To prevent getting recognized, she put on a hat, glasses, and mask, even though she is still rather obvious. Scrolling through social media, switching between her apps, and looking around the airport while bouncing her leg or biting her lips is all she can really do. The airport seems very busy, which isn't very surprising, but finally, the sound of the speaker echoes through the area."All passengers flying to Otaru, please enter gate three. I repeat, all passengers flying to Otaru, please enter gate three."Dahyun gets up from her seat before stretching her arms and legs, since this is the first time in ages that she is out of bed. Then, she follows the sign pointing towards her gate, dragging her suitcase behind her. Wanting to check the time, she reaches into her pocket for her phone, but she freezes in her spot when she digs into her empty pockets. She immediately turns to check her seat in case she left the phone there, but her eyes widen instead.A girl grabs her phone from the seat and lifts her head to look right at Dahyun. She looks exhausted, deeply panting, her hair messy, her eyes puffy, and she doesn't seem to care what others are thinking of her. Yet, she's still the most attractive and adorable girl Dahyun has ever seen. They maintain eye contact for a few seconds before the speaker repeats itself. Dahyun finds her legs, hands trembling, and breathing getting heavier. With all her might, she averts her eyes and turns back towards the gate, walking off in a hurry. Even though she thinks that the girl didn't recognize her, she can still feel eyes burn her back."Really, Dahyun? I know this is your phone."Dahyun stops in her spot, letting her head drop. It seems like she has lost control of her body, because at the sound of Momo's loud but soft voice, she automatically turns around. All of a sudden, people start walking through the vision of the two girls. It must be because the plane will be taking off in a few minutes. But the people don't manage to break the connection between their eyes.Momo slowly takes a few steps forward, leading Dahyun to let go of her suitcase and mimic Momo's moves, step after step. When they've gotten close enough, Momo holds out her hand to Dahyun, still gazing at her with sad eyes. Dahyun's eyes start watering instantly as she notices how upset Momo is."You have better options than to just leave everything behind, Dahyun," a tear drops from Momo's eye, "Please, don't do this."Dahyun opens her mouth, but she closes it back right away when she realizes that she doesn't know what to say to the girl. The choice she made is a not very thought through decision, but she truly doesn't know what else she could've done. She can't stop her tears from escaping when Momo reaches for her cheek, caressing it with her thumb"We have all the time in the world, Dahyuni. Tell me everything you want to tell me. Ask me anything you want to ask me. I will always, I mean always, be here for you."Then, Momo gently places the hand she was holding out on Dahyun's waist, caressing it comfortingly. Meanwhile, Dahyun is giving it her all not to turn into a sobbing mess right there and then."I know, it's difficult, but giving up is the last thing you should do. There are so many more and better things we could try, Dahyun."Slowly, Momo pulls the girl towards her while looking deep into her eyes, trying to tell her with just her eyes that everything will be alright."I'm saying we, because if you have a problem, I have a problem too. We, because I love you, Dahyuni."With those last sweet words from Momo, Dahyun throws herself into her arms. She digs her head into the older one's neck, soaking it in with her tears as Momo holds her tightly while soothingly whispering by her ear."I believe in you, Dahyun. I know you can get through this even alone. But you're not alone and never will be. We will never let you down, okay? Of course, if you want to, you can rest in another country for a while, but take me with you. I'm more than happy to accompany you and look after you? Not just me, the girls too. And even if you want to go alone, you have to come back. Do you really think running away from your problems is a good idea? If you don't fight back, they will always chase you and bite you when you least expect it.""I'm so... sorry for letting you down.""You never let me down. I will always be so proud of you," Momo says before kissing the sobbing girl. It's midnight as they're in their apartment, in bed, the place Dahyun was so many times put to sleep by Momo after crying for hours. They took a shower together first and then Momo proceeded to treat Dahyun like a princess, dressing her and getting her into bed even though Momo is exhausted because of the long sprint she did all the way to the airport."Eighty-eight...eighty-nine...ninety..." Momo keeps counting in her mind back and forth as she's unable to get sleep, an impossible task, especially when her eyes are examining the silhouette of the sleeping girl next to her.Dahyun has been consuming her thoughts since they came back from the airport. Momo still can't believe how good fate was to her, to be able to cross paths with Dahyun, and even then when she eventually fell in love, Dahyun returned those feelings. How can she fall asleep after remembering when she first realized her feelings towards Dahyun and how hard she repressed those feeling in fear of damaging their friendship. But then it was the younger girl that confessed her love to Momo first.Momo can only stare at the roof, smiling to herself with the memories. At least that's what she does for about five minutes until she is, again, frustrated and shifting positions like crazy while Dahyun is in a deep slumber, the one Momo put her into by comforting her. It's four a.m. and Momo doesn't even remember if she has been awake the whole time or if she actually got some sleep at one point of the night. But it doesn't matter, she's not tired.Eventually, she hears a movement from the other side of the bed. Momo wonders if Dahyun is awake and if she's the one who woke her up. Then, she can see Dahyun turn over with her eyes open until their eyes meet. Dahyun shines her the smile that Momo loves so much. Dahyun is just so beautiful, a deliciously sweet and addictive being that Momo loves to discover every day. She is much definitely in love. Dahyun slowly sits up in the bed, signaling at Momo to do the same. As Dahyun wishes, Momo follows her and Dahyun grabs her hands."Are you okay, love?"Love. Even though Dahyun has used this word many times before, it can still cause the same warm sensation in Momo's chest like it did the first time."I can't sleep," Momo sighs."I can see that," Dahyun says while tucking Momo's hair behind her ear. "Are you hungry?""A little bit, actually."After giving Momo one last smile, Dahyun gets up from the bed and drags Momo with her by the hand, leading them to the kitchen. "I'll make something for you.""You don't have to, you must be tired."Dahyun turns her head towards Momo and raises an eyebrow at her. "Aren't you tired? You ran all the way to me.""I'm alright, I would do it again if I had to," Momo says before she tries to stop Dahyun from walking. "You should go back to bed."However, the younger one is so determined to take care of Momo that she somehow outpowers Momo and enters the kitchen. The next few minutes, Momo lovingly watches the girl search through the cabinets for what's needed to prepare something for her. The fact that Dahyun is still doing everything she can even though she is not feeling well herself makes Momo tingle in her stomach."Pancakes?" Dahyun asks, bringing the distracted girl back to earth. She giggles at the sight. "With chocolate chips and whipped cream, you'll like it."Momo nods, flashing a bright smile enthusiastically for the younger girl who keeps searching through the messy cabinets. Since Momo is the cook between them, she knows where everything is, but she somewhat enjoys Dahyun's adorable struggle."Or maybe just plain pancakes... I can't find the whipped cream.""It's okay," Momo replies, her enamored smile still drawn on her face.Momo's heart is beating fast, too fast for her own good. All the attention and care Dahyun is giving to her has her in awe, but she also has urges and she wants to make up for all the time they haven't gotten. Dahyun's gorgeous figure is calling her, and unable to resist, Momo slowly walks towards Dahyun to capture the girl in an intimate back hug, resting her jaw on the younger's shoulder. She can tell Dahyun is smiling even though she's not facing her. She just knows, and it makes her heart beat even faster.Momo enjoys the moment, but not able to hold her urges back, her lips start to ghost over the curve between Dahyun's shoulder and neck. She takes her time on deciding where to place a kiss, until she finally does."Why are you so attentive all of a sudden? Caring for me in the middle of the night?" Momo whispers into Dahyun's neck, feeling the younger girl shiver when her breath hits the skin. And that's the signal for Momo to continue what she started. She hugs Dahyun even tighter, digging her fingertips into the sides of Dahyun's waist while leaving a trail of kisses and soft bites on her neck. Dahyun abandons her cooking task due to the overwhelming effect Momo is causing on her. It takes a suppressed moan from Dahyun to eventually make Momo turn her around.Dahyun is now facing Momo when the older girl instantly joins their lips together in a hungry kiss. Dahyun responds to the kiss with the same passion until she is out of air."You're not letting me do anything, you know?" Dahyun says between the kisses. "Aren't you hungry?""I am, but not for the pancakes," Momo whispers in that husky voice of hers as she presses her forehead against Dahyun's."I'm here, aren't I?"That's all Dahyun can say before Momo captures their lips once again, this time slower, less urgent. They stay like that for a while, enjoying their bodies pressed against each other as their lips get into a sensual dance. Dahyun is the first to pull away for air, pressing their foreheads together again."You're so beautiful. I love your hair like this so much," Dahyun says as she caresses the black locks of smooth straight hair."Don't you miss my long hair?"Sometimes Dahyun does, but it is Momo, the gorgeous and amazing Hirai Momo. Dahyun has loved every single look on her."Yes and no. You looked as beautiful with long hair, but the shorter hair makes you look more mature," she strokes from the tips of Momo's hair to her neck and collarbones, "sexier."Momo blushes and truly can't fight the sexual tension anymore, capturing the girl's lips again. Dahyun doesn't take too long to try to take control and turn Momo around, but Momo fights back."I want to do something for you," Momo murmurs, separating herself from Dahyun to look right into her eyes. "Let me, please."Dahyun doesn't quite know what Momo is referring to, but there's no way Dahyun can resist. She nods, and Momo doesn't waste a second as she kisses her again, her hands roaming through Dahyun's legs. A couple of kisses later, Momo's lips descend on Dahyun's collarbones before she helps Dahyun sit on the counter.Momo believes Dahyun has managed to get the hint of what she wants to do, so she lowers herself carefully on her knees, a rather uncomfortable positon that she may not be able to hold for too long, but she's too turned on to care. She takes Dahyun's shorts and underwear down with delicacy, trying not to rush even though she wants to, but she's determined to treat the other girl with the tenderness she deserves.Once she gets the undergarments out of the way, she sneaks one last look into Dahyun's relaxed eyes before she places her head in between the younger one's legs to reach her destination."Momo—"She can hear Dahyun's croaky moans as her lips and tongue work their way to please the girl. It encourages her to keep going, not minding the awkwardness and discomfort on her own legs. But it's all worth it when she feels Dahyun's fingers tangling into her hair, massaging her scalp. Dahyun finds herself breathing unevenly  and letting out soft sighs, begging for more.Holding Dahyun in place with her hands, Momo continues her service until she can feel that Dahyun is about to come. She can tell it's happening by the way Dahyun's fingers dig harder into her head. Momo swears she could even hear an almost inaudible "I love you" and it adds to her need to please the younger girl.It takes a few strokes of her tongue for Dahyun to finally release on her mouth. Momo continues cleaning the mess she caused as Dahyun tries to stay quiet and recover her normal breathing. Momo rapidly climbs up, her legs tired, but she still gently reaches for Dahyun by the neck to seal their lips. Dahyun then slowly breaks the kiss to embrace the girl."Your pancakes, do you still want them?" Dahyun asks with a giggle....
