Jessica has been staying with Yoona for weeks now. The younger girl protected her; watched over her and ensured that Jessica was comfortable at her place. Jessica couldn’t sit around the house doing nothing. She had to do something.Jessica decided to help with the house chores. She felt grateful towards Yoona and her family for accommodating her. Yoona’s room wasn’t really in a huge mess but the girl did left her dirty clothes lying around the room. The older girl chuckled softly as she picked the dirty laundry one at a time. She then tidied Yoona’s table when saw came across Yoona’s diary. She frowned as she pondered if she should read – she decided not to.She went on to clear some other stuff on the table and pulled a paper out. She accidentally pushed the diary away and it dropped onto the floor. The pages were opened and Jessica bit her lower lip. Should she be reading?Nevertheless she picked up the diary and sat on the bed. It was dated 5 years ago. That was so long; when they were in high school. She could still remember how Yoona looked like – she was like a boy; same like Yuri.Okay.I don’t really like diary because it was too girly but I’m begging to differ now. I started writing a diary because of one particular person. Her name is Jessica Jung. She has a diary which she carried around in school. Sometimes I was curious what she wrote inside but it is a diary so it was forbidden to others.Now.The reason for writing this because I have something to confess. I couldn’t tell anyone; not even to my best friend because she’s funny and weird at the same time. I know she likes someone but I just couldn’t figure out whom. She told me a lot of things about that person but I guess I know now. She likes my step sister, Tiffany. Well, it’s common for us, the Lesbos, to fall in love easily with straight girls like my step sister. I mean she’s gorgeous, she’s pretty and awesome. Well, she’s the leader of her cheerleading team. The rugby jocks; the soccer morons and even the taekwondo team really adore my sister a lot. If she’s not my step sister, I might be like one of the love fools too. But one particular person caught my attention. She’s like Tiffany; popular in school especially with the lesbian community and of course, the jealous boys who know they could never get her but tried anyway. She’s none other than Jessica Jung.Gorgeous as she is, she’s the epitome of all beauty. At first glance, you might think she has an attitude problem; cold and almost non-existent if you ask me. Why? Firstly, she sleeps longer than a koala bear; she talks less than 10 words in a conversation; she’s forever yawning and she has the least interest in everything – I mean everything including food.People thought she’s mean and snobbish. Well, not to mention her little sister is equally the same. Fortunately the sister chose to return to US with her parents; while Jessica chose to stay on in Seoul. She lives with her grandmother. That’s when I realized the other side of her – the sweet natured and gentle Jessica Jung.Affectionately known as Soo Yeon by her grandmother, she’s the total opposite of Jessica Jung in school. She was absent from school once and I volunteered to send her homework to her house. Well, I dragged Yuri along with me. She agreed because partly of my step sister. Tiffany had to tag along because we go home together. Damn you, Yuri. You’re really smitten with my sister, aren’t you?Okay, let’s go back to Jessica Jung. Well, she wasn’t sick but her grandmother was. I saw her carrying her grandmother on her back; feeding her and even cleaning the house. Yuri was surprised that Jessica Jung did housework. I wasn’t surprised at all. She’s a girl after all. She was grateful. She kept thanking me again and again for bringing in her homework for her. I went on to promise that I’d do that every day. I thought Tiffany might want to wallop me but she didn’t. She even suggested having a study group together at her place.I WAS ECSTATIC!You see, I’m in love. I fell in love at the first glance with Jessica Jung. Her cold demeanour didn’t bother me because there’s warmth in her smile. And I was right; and I was glad to prove Yuri wrong that Jessica is not what she seemed to portray herself to be. Daddy told me. Never judge the book by its cover. And Jessica Jung is the girl of my dreams. Jessica, I love you. Jessica’s heart sank to the bottom pit. She felt horrible for making use of Yoona. The girl was genuine towards her. The girl loves her too much and Jessica realized she shouldn’t be doing this to Yoona. She flipped few pages after that. It was dated few months later.I feel like crying now. I really do. Jessica loves someone else. Jessica loves my best friend. What should I do now? Should I confess? She’s in love with Yuri too much.Oh my god, Jessica! You’re driving me crazy.Diary, help me. My heart is aching so much. What should I do now? Do I confess to her?I’m too late........Jessica agreed to be with Yuri........................Those were written on alternate pages. Jessica could feel Yoona’s heart breaking apart from the day she found out that Jessica likes Yuri. It must have hurt so badly for her. Jessica flipped to the last written page. It was quite recent. In fact, it was written about few months ago. That was when Jessica and Yuri had some troubles in their relationship.Jessica came over with apple pie. She looked happy on the surface but her smile wasn’t radiant like it used to be. Yuri must have hurt her in one way or another. I was watching intently as she sat down with Tiffany and both were reminisced about the past. I applaud for Jessica. Despite knowing her girlfriend’s past feelings for my sister, she was still able to maintain her emotions. She must have thought that Tiffany’s innocent. Well, my sister is clueless about everything else.Diary, I don’t like it when Jessica’s like this. I could feel her sadness; I could literally hear her heart breaking apart each time Yuri’s name has been mentioned. It was written in her eyes; the way they turned watery and how quickly the redness came despite she vehemently held back her tears.Sica, why are you so silly? Why can’t you open your eyes a little and look at me? I’m right here, Jessica. I’m right here beside you. Sheesh, who am I to ask you such questions? I’m as stupid as you are, Jessica.I know you will never look at me the same way you looked at Yuri. But I’m just contented to be able to look after you; look out for your needs; watching over you; ensuring that you are safe and sound; wherever you are. If my love for you means I could never get you; then I’ll just be contented to be by your side whether you realize it or not. Love is painful; you told me before. It’s already painful the moment you said you love Yuri. But I’ll never abandon you. I’ll lurk around; I’ll be a shadow to you. I’m not very far now, Jessica. I’m stupid because I love you. And I want to protect you forever.Jessica’s tears fell immediately. Her heart ached so badly. She never knew how much Yoona loves her until this. She immediately felt remorseful and she knew she couldn’t hurt Yoona like this. This was just so wrong.“Yoona, I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.”*Tiffany was at work when her phone rang. She didn’t see the id caller and answered immediately. A baby was chuckling happily on the phone and Tiffany was worried.“Lincoln?”Someone took over the phone.“Hi Fany, Yuri here.”“What is Lincoln doing with you?”“He’s not feeling well. The child care centre called me.”“What? Why didn’t they call me?”“They did. But you didn’t answer. Lincoln’s fever was really high earlier on.”“What?”Tiffany checked her phone. There were four missed calls.“Oh my god! Is Lincoln alright?”“I’ve brought him to the doctor and he’s at my house now.”“What did the doctor said?”“It’s the viral fever but he will be fine after a couple of days.”“What is he doing now?”“He’s playing now. He seems okay after the medicine and a good sleep. Listen, I’ll be cooking so come over for dinner before taking Lincoln home.”Yuri had wanted to have contact with Tiffany but the lady was playing hot and cold. She still felt guilty towards Jessica.  “Yuri, I’m just going to take Lincoln home.”Tiffany could hear Yuri sighing.“Just eat with me, please?”“Yuri..”“I just want to have dinner with you.”“But..”“I miss you, Tiffany.”Tiffany hates it when Yuri’s like this.*Yuri waited for Tiffany at the bus stop with Lincoln in her arms. She was giving soft kisses on Lincoln’s forehead; the boy liked it too much. Just then, she saw someone familiar; walking towards her with grocery bags – Jessica Jung. The other lady hasn’t notice her yet. Yuri wondered if she should call out to her. She did nevertheless.“Jessica?”Jessica looked up. She was surprised to find Yuri with Lincoln. She smiled.“Yuri.”“You just went shopping?”“Yeah, I thought of cooking something for Yoona tonight.”“Oh. That’s nice.”“Why is Lincoln with you? Where is Tiffany?”“Tiffany’s at work. Lincoln was sick so I took him home from school earlier on.”Jessica was taken aback to hear that. Yuri seemed to move on really well when she was having amnesia.  She seemed to be taking over Tiffany’s duties as Lincoln’s mother. Her heart ached.“Is he alright?”“He’s fine now.”Yuri turned to look at Lincoln who was playing with her necklace – it was the same necklace that Jessica gave on their first anniversary. Jessica looked on; the knife twisting in her heart but she had to pretend like she didn’t care.“I have to go now.”“Sure.”“See you some other time.”“Okay.”Jessica nodded and walked on but Yuri was watching her intently. Jessica looked ahead and walked past Yuri. Yuri thought she saw tears in Jessica’s eyes. But Lincoln was whining so Yuri turned her attention to the boy instead.Jessica turned halfway to find Yuri pacifying the boy who was whining in her arms. She sighed and let her tears fell before walking away with a dejected heart. Yuri didn’t make an effort to regain her memories. She seemed to let time heal all the pain. But what Yuri didn’t know was; Jessica couldn’t forget her. She was just pretending to be sick.“I hate you, Yuri. I really do.”Jessica wiped her tears away.*Tiffany went over to Yuri’s place. Her heart was feeling heavy. She was still unsure if she should continue seeing Yuri behind Jessica’s back. She tried to stay away but Yuri kept invading her space. And to make things worse, Lincoln has permanently attached himself to Yuri. Only Yuri could pacify him now.“Lincoln, stay with mommy okay? Auntie Yuri has to prepare for dinner.”Lincoln refused to unlatch himself from Yuri’s arms. Tiffany glared at her son and the boy relented. He climbed over to his mom’s arms.“Don’t be so fierce to him.”“I’m hungry.”Tiffany took Lincoln away and went into the living room. Yuri looked on; feeling dejected but she was glad Tiffany made it for dinner anyway. She knew Tiffany was blatantly ignoring her presence. But Yuri wasn’t going to give up.Tiffany put Lincoln on the floor. She watched as the boy played with his toys. Lincoln seemed happy and Tiffany smiled when Lincoln crawled to her and sat on her lap. Yuri appeared with yoghurt in her hand.“Lincoln, snack time!”Lincoln smiled widely and Tiffany was surprised when Lincoln squealed in delight. Yuri was sitting in front of him and fed him. Lincoln ate it happily.“He likes yoghurt?”Tiffany wasn’t aware of that.“Yeah, he was crying for his milk earlier on but you know I couldn’t give him, erm, breast milk. So I gave him this.”Tiffany’s cheeks were slightest flush at the mention of breast milk. But she was grateful to Yuri for being able to keep Lincoln happy despite that.  Yuri started singing nursery rhymes with him and the boy was singing along. Tiffany was totally marvelled at Yuri’s ability.“You’re good with kids.”“Not really. I just learnt what his teachers taught him at the centre.”“You were watching them?”“Yeah, I don’t really have a proper hands-on with children. So I learnt quickly. I’m lucky. Lincoln is considered one sweet-tempered little baby.”Tiffany’s heart slowly melted at Yuri’s initiatives. She wasn’t lying when she told Tiffany that she would do her best to make Lincoln and her happy.  Unknowingly, a smile crept on Tiffany’s lips and Yuri saw it.“You just have to trust in me, Tiffany. I’ll never hurt you.”“What?”“I know you’re slowly opening to me now because I take good care of Lincoln. But I want you to trust me because you love me too.”“You know that’s not easy, Yuri.”“I know.”“And I’m not ready.”“Tiffany, you can take your time.”“No, Yuri. You haven’t settled your problem with Jessica yet.”Yuri’s expression changed. She has once again forgotten about Jessica.“She might not remember you but it would turn ugly if she does. I rather you settle all your problems with her before you could move on. If not, it’s unfair to her and to me too.”Yuri looked up to face Tiffany.  Her heart was aching again.“I’m sorry that I brought up your unhappy past but this is a fact. You cannot just pretend like Jessica doesn’t exist in your life.”“Is this because of Jessica or Yoona?”“Both. I love my sister. I don’t want to ruin my relationship with Yoona because of you.”“What does that mean?”“I cannot afford to lose Yoona. I cannot afford to upset Jessica further.”Tiffany paused for a second.“But I don’t want to lose you either. So you have to settle your problems first before we could be together.”Yuri was perplexed.*Jessica pouted her lips. Yoona sent a message saying that she couldn’t come home early. She had things to do at work. So she decided to cook and bring it over instead. After reading Yoona’s diary, Jessica was obliged to treat the girl a little better. She prepared Yoona’s dinner and was pleased with what she had cooked. She packed Yoona’s share and hers before making her way to Yoona’s office. For as long as she knows Yoona, the older girl had no idea what Yoona was working as and where her office was. So it was a surprise when she found out that Yoona’s an auditor with one of the big 4 – PWC.Jessica was impressed. Yoona hardly talked about her work. It was always Jessica and Jessica. The older girl felt guilty to know a little about Yoona.“Yes, can I help you?”The security guard was staring at Jessica.“Hi, I’m here to look for Im Yoona?”“Oh, but I have to call her. Is that alright with you?”“Yeah, I’m okay.”Jessica sat at the sofa while waiting for Yoona. But instead of Yoona, someone else came. Jessica was frowning away.“Are you Miss Jung?”“Yes I am.”“I’m Seohyun, Miss Im’s assistant.”“Yoona has an assistant?”Seohyun chuckled before nodding her head.“She asked me to bring you up. We can go now.”“Oh okay.”Seohyun brought Jessica up to Yoona’s office. That girl was impressive. Her office was as big as her room at Yuri’s place. She saw Yoona’s name outside the office – IM YOONA , SENIOR ASSOCIATE.“Miss Im, Miss Jung is here.”“Oh, thanks Seohyun.”Yoona got up from her seat and went over to Jessica. She engulfed Jessica’s hands into hers.“What are you doing here?”“Have you eaten?”“Oh, Seohyun brought something for me.”Jessica looked over Yoona’s shoulder and saw a mess tin in front of her table. Jessica looked at her bundle.“I thought you haven’t eaten yet so I made you dinner too.”“Oh?”Yoona was grinning as she took the bundle from Jessica’s hands.“What did you bring?”“Tuna Kimchi Fried Rice.”“Oh, awesome! Now I have ramen and rice.”Yoona pulled Jessica over to her table. Seohyun was already typing furiously on her keyboard; completely ignoring Jessica’s presence.“You’re impressive.”Jessica whispered softly.“Why?”Yoona looked up; confused.“Your room is huge. You’re an associate and you have a beautiful assistant.”Yoona frowned at the last bit.“Beautiful assistant?”Jessica was gesturing to Seohyun.“Oh, Seohyun? She has been great. She helps me out a lot. She’s like my trusted buddy. I can depend on her on everything.”“Oh?”“The office people thought she’s my girlfriend. I call her Darling sometimes.”Jessica’s mouth was twitching.  She didn’t like the sound of that. Why am I feeling so annoyed now?Jessica was bewildered with herself.*Lincoln was sleeping when Tiffany carried him back to their house. Yoona and Jessica weren’t around. She placed Lincoln on his bed before washing up.  She just couldn’t believe what happened earlier on. She let her emotions took over and Yuri was taking advantage of it.“So you’re saying if I settle my problems with Jessica, you will give me a chance?”“Figuratively.”“What?”“I don’t want to be saddled with all sorts of problems if we do go further in the later stage.”“Tiffany, are you open to such relationship?”The truth was; Tiffany missed the feeling of having someone in her arms; or having somebody to lock lips with. She looked down; only to be raised by the chin by Yuri. She made Tiffany look at her; the other lady was blushing.“If you’re having second doubts about this relationship, then let me do my part to prove to you that I’m sincere about you.”“It’s not that.”“I will settle my problems with Jessica.”“No, It’s not that either.”“Then what is it?”“I have Lincoln. Wouldn’t it be weird?”Yuri smiled widely before pulling Tiffany closer. She gave a soft peck on Tiffany’s lips. The lady didn’t retaliate. She just let Yuri kissed her.“I love you. I love Lincoln. I’ve already accepted everything of you including Lincoln.”Yuri turned to look at the sleeping boy on the mattress before turning back to Tiffany.“I don’t care what happened in your past. I’m only interested in your present and future. Can you see me in your future, Tiffany?”Tiffany was taken in once again. Yuri was always sweet like that and her honey words could easily melt anyone’s heart especially Tiffany’s. She was vulnerable.“Tiffany?”“Huh?”“Can I kiss you?”Yuri didn’t wait. She just placed her lips on Tiffany’s. It was soft and gentle at first but Yuri decided to be bolder. She tried to enter and the vulnerable Tiffany let her.Well, one thing led to another. Tiffany was soon naked on the bed; Yuri was exploring her slowly and Tiffany was completely aroused. She didn’t have sex for a long time so she was easily turned on.“Yuri..”“Just let me please you. Don’t hesitate. Don’t reject me anymore.”Tiffany couldn’t answer her anymore. Yuri was pleasuring her too much.Tiffany closed her eyes; pressing on her temples. Things were just getting too complicated. What the hell, Tiffany Hwang? She chided herself.*“Darling, I’m tired.”“Oh? You need coffee?”“Can you make me a cup?”“Okay, sure!”Jessica watched as Seohyun quickly ran out of the office. She was sitting on the sofa with her arms folded. Yoona was still busy at work and Jessica insisted to stay. She didn’t want to go home alone or rather; she suddenly felt unsafe with Seohyun and Yoona alone.Seohyun returned with a cup of coffee and placed it next to Yoona. She then stood behind Yoona’s armchair and staring into the computer screen. Their faces were so close together; and Jessica could see their cheeks almost touched. She cleared her throat. Yoona turned to look at her.“Are you cold?”“No?”“You want coffee?”“Yes please.”“You can take mine.”“I’ll go make myself.”“No, I’ll do it.”Seohyun went out again and Jessica was smirking away. Yoona didn’t notice that smirk. She was too busy with her work.  Jessica smiled in victory. But her mood turned sour. Seohyun’s screams got Yoona immediately on her feet. The lady ran into the pantry with Jessica stomping from behind.“What happened?”“Nothing, Miss Im.”“Oh my god! Did you scald yourself?”“No, I just saw a mouse in the pantry.”“WHAT?!”A mouse ran out and ran over Yoona’s feet. She jumped onto Seohyun’s arms; leaving Jessica fuming mad.It was just an amusing scene. And Jessica was annoyed again. Why must you have such a big reaction?!Jessica rolled her eyes each time she recalled that incident in the pantry. She wasn’t even aware that she was green with jealousy.*
