My Price of Misery (1/1)
He was waiting for me by the river, his body was leaning against the railings, his hands in his pockets, and his eyes were on the swimming ducks. He was alone, but he was far from looking lonely. He looked pretty much in love. “And I love you so much, Lee Hani.” I clasped my arms around his waist from behind, filling the gap between his arms and his body.“Hello, Love.”He chuckled at my greetings, and I could picture him with his glimmering eyes and his addictive smirk.“Hello, Love.”He replied, unclasping my hands, and pulled me forward, facing him.“And you are late.” “Haha! Sorry! I had to run back home to get something, for you.”His eyes twinkled in surprise.“You have something for me?”I jumped to give him a quick peck on his cheek, causing him to blush at the sudden touch of my lips.“Yeah.”I rummaged through my bag, and I brought out the one thing that linked us for the longest time: the chocolate bar. “You still have that?”His forehead was furrowed in recognition and confusion.“Yepp.”“And it is still unopened.”He took the still cold and hard chocolate bar from my hand, flipping it back and forth.“And it is the first thing I ever give to you.”He locked his eyes on me, and he looked somewhat nostalgic, and hurt. I rested myself against the railings, standing close to him. We were facing each other with the littlest space between us.“I can’t eat it, I couldn’t, because of how you treated me. I was so angry at you before, you know that.”He wrapped his free hand around my waist and pulled me closer, and his hand stayed snaking my body.“So, you unleashed your anger towards me by not eating the chocolate? Isn’t that, like, the opposite of what ordinary people usually do?”He raised an eyebrow, and I just had to smirk at him.“You know I’m not ordinary.”He looked amused, but not surprised.“Tsk, too much narcissism, Hani.”I just grinned at his retort. “Do you know that the chocolate bar had put me in so much misery?”I pointed to the chocolate bar in his hand, and he looked at me questioningly.“How so?”“Well, starting from the moment you gave me that, my life had been miserable. My head and my heart were in deep confusion, every single day.”His eyes gleamed in mischief.“You were in confusion? Might it be because of... your head went for that Joon kid but your heart went for me?”I tilted my head to face him with a pout.“My heart unfortunately still goes to you.”He heartily laughed at me, and he bent down to give me a smooch on my forehead.“You are adorable, Lee.” I pushed his face away.“Adorable? I was miserable! And it was all because of that... that... that one buck of chocolate bar!”“Hahaha!”“Yah! Stop laughing, will you?”“Ho ho hokay, I’ll stop. And I am sorry, that I put you in such despair.” He pulled me closer into his embrace, and his melodious heartbeat calmed my increasing annoyance.“I’ve told you, stop apologizing, Yong, you’ve done that enough. And I was miserable not because of you, it’s because of that one buck chocolate bar. Oh God, I can’t believe one chocolate bar, a one buck chocolate bar, could cause such misery to a person. And to think of it, my price of misery is officially one buck!”I sank deeper into his hold, and buried myself in his now familiar scent, and I could feel him tightening his arms around me. It felt so good to be in his embrace. To be in my StoneCold’s – wait, scratched that – to be in my Love’s embrace. Remind me to change his name in my phonebook! “Hani?”I looked up to meet his deep, tender eyes.“Hmm?”“Your price of misery is no longer one buck.”“What do you mean?”He planted another kiss on my forehead.“Your price of misery was one buck, but starting now, your price of misery is me.” I entangled myself from him.“My price of misery is... you?”He pulled me in again, and put the chocolate bar in his hand into my bag.“Yeah. Whoever or whatever messes with you is going to pay through me now. I’ll teach him a lesson he’ll never forget. That’s what he gets for messing with my girl.”My girl. I loved the sound of that. “Junhyung?”“Hmm?”I tiptoed, and gave him a peck on his lips.“I love you.”His face lit up, he had faint blush on his cheeks, and his eyes were twinkling. He was practically glowing. He was glowing! “Oh my God, Junhyung, you are glowing! S- So you are a vampire after all! And- and- and I am your sunshine!”I was way too excited, but he pushed me away, and his bright face darkened all of sudden.“Excuse me? Vampire? Sunshine? Any reason of why you brought out our dark past right now?”His voice was raising high, he looked very upset, and so I took his hand in mine.“Hey, what’s with the face? I’m just saying, that you are right all along, Junhyung.”He looked confused, but he waited for me to continue.“You are glowing right now, Fool. You know, because vampires glow under the sunlight.”“They... glow? Which vampire glows under the sunlight?”“Edward glows.” And it hit him. His smile was back on his face, and he was glowing again. He pulled me in, and he leant in to give me a kiss so passionate, my knees went weak.“You are crazy, but I love you Lee Hani.”He said before he continued kissing me.“And no more Twilight for you, Love. Edward is one thing, but I felt even unconfident against Jacob’s abs.”“Hahaha what?! Okay then, but in return, no more Son Dambi for you, Junhyung! Can you live with that?”“Deal.” And we sealed it with another round of kisses. "Hani?""Yes, Junhyung?"“Is this the happily ever after for us?”“Happily ever after? With that bad temper of yours, it is very unlikely, Junhyung.”“YAH!”“... but I love you anyway.” :) A/N: Stay tuned for one more bonus chapter! :)
