Finally (1/1)

My head felt so heavy, but I kept on running. I knew the playground by heart, but for some reasons, the playground seemed to be a little too far tonight. I was getting nearer, my chest was no longer be able to contain my jumping heart, and my brain started to hurt, working hard to send continuous commands to the rest of my body parts in order to keep me awake and moving, and at the same time, trying to formulate of what to say when I finally met him. And soon I arrived at the playground, panting like I was in a cross-country marathon. And there he was, on the swing, like he supposed to. He was looking pretty lonely under the yellow spotlight, he was the only one at the playground. His head was down, his body slouched, he was swinging quietly, and even if I couldn’t see it properly, I believed his eyes were closed. My heart called out for him.  Junhyung.  “Junhyung.”He looked up, his eyes dilated in surprise. He looked shocked, and he looked caught. I made my way towards him, closing the space we had between us, and he stood up from his swings. I finally stopped when he was within my grab, that I could smell his faint cologne, and I could hear his speeding exhales. “Junhyung.”I said again, as he seemed to be in disbelieve that I was here, standing in front of him. He was towering before me, and I had to tilt my head in order to look at his confused face. He looked pale, or was it because of the spotlight? “Junhyung.”I said for the third time, and he finally seemed to grasp the reality before him. His eyes soften but with hints of uncertainty, and his baffled face was finally lit with a small, vague smile. I daringly reached for his heart, and like mine, it was pounding like crazy. “Junhyung, you--”“Hani, you--”We said at the time. I let out a chuckle, while his smile bloomed bigger. He must have found the situation amusing, too.“After you.”His voice was soft, contradicting his hysterical heart, which was still under my feel.“Junhyung, you--” I looked into his warm eyes, and he looked expectant. Looking at him this close made my heart flutters with warmth. I felt my energy rose inside me, my hands were shaking in response, and with all my might, I hit his chest hard, right on his heart.“You are a cold--”Another hit.“Selfish--”Another hit.“Thoughtless--”Another hit.“Unconfident--”Another hit.“Cowardly--”Another hit.“Stupid--”Another hit.“Jerk!” His strong hands caught my trembling ones, stopping my hit after hit on his firm chest. I looked at him with my teary eyes, and he looked at me with his similar ones. He looked taken aback, but he also looked contented to everything I threw at him. Our body were stiffed, our breaths were fast, and our hands were still holding tight. “I hate you, Junhyung.”It came out almost like a whisper, but he heard me just fine, and he understood the hidden meaning perfectly, because his eyes, despite with his dam of tears, were burst with all the love he had for me.“You stole my heart, and I hate you for that, Yong Junhyung.” He stroked my cheek, wiping my tears tenderly, and he cupped my face ever so gently, like it was the most precious gift he had ever received.“And I love you so much, Lee Hani.”
