Stupidity and Pride, Chapter 28: The Story

“Tell us what happened. Now” Key demanded, growing impatient and anxious by the minute. The love letter didn't make anything clearer but instead made matters worse. As the letter implied, Haneul had feelings for Taemin; so why was she with Minho? Why was Minho crying? Most of all, what was really happening? Those were some of the hundreds, if not thousands, of questions lingering in Key's mind. “I don’t think I have the right-““Tell us what happened for God’s sake!” yelled Key as he stepped towards Minho, ready to lunge at him. Key knew you and Taemin played a big role in the situation and he had a strong feeling that you were the one who would get hurt the most. His heart broke every time he saw you crying; as your closest friend he hated everyone who hurt you. He was willing to— and did— pummel those who caused you pain, SHINee or not. “Do you remember the bet we made?” Minho asked, eyes red and puffy from continuous crying. The fact that Key was yelling at him and ready to beat him up didn't make him feel any better.“What bet?” Jonghyun asked as he stood behind Key, ready to stop the infuriated fellow if he were to jump at Minho.“I don’t remember making any bets," Onew calmly interjected, "and what does a bet have to do with this? Stop kidding around, Minho. This isn't funny." The leader sat beside the culprit on the couch. Onew, too, wanted to reprimand Minho for causing pain not only to one of their best friends, but also to a girl whom they cherished, though he knew that yelling would not contribute to solving anything.“Stop beating around the bush before I hit you,” Key growled. Minho's aversions prevented him from getting to the bottom of the situation and his patience was running out.“The bet is an important part of it—it’s the start. It’s the bet we made about Taemin and Haneul’s confession, of who will confess first.”“I remember that but why are you bringing that up now? That bet is long forgotten and what do you mean by ‘start of it’?” Onew questioned. The words Minho said didn't make much sense to him or to any of them. They needed a more brief and blunt explanation.“Tell us the whole story, not just the beginning, not just the ending. Whole story, no cuts, no edits,” Key demanded.“It started…”____________ Taemin lay on his soft bed in his cozy home. He gave himself a headache as he thought deeply. He had many questions in his mind that needed to be answered. He racked his mind for a more appropriate answer and, as usual, the same response came: I don’t know. Why did this have to happen? He was moving on, he slowly liked the thought of being your best friend, but in a flash, all that effort went down the drain. It wasn't like it was simple before; but now the complexity just shot through the roof. Taemin had no idea whom or what to believe anymore; he was so hopelessly lost and confused. I might go insane with these questions; I need an answer, he thought and left the house. He wanted to see the only person who, he knew, knew all the answers to his questions. Unconsciously, hope spread in his heart. What if the letter was indeed true? What if you were really in love with him? Did this mean he can have a happily ever after with you? This chapter is actually longer, but I decided to cut it; I don't know why -__- About the title, I don't really know what to put so I just decided that. Anyways, hope you like this chapter!!!! (Actually, I doubt if anyone is liking my story now. I think it doesn't really make any senseT.T)
