Whats Going On? (1/1)

Stupidity and Pride, Chapter 27: What's Going On?“What is this?” Taemin growled angrily as he shook the paper in his hand. His senses were beginning to fade and he wanted to vent his anger at Minho. That time, he wanted nothing more than to beat the living daylights out of him, cripple him, or, at the very least, sew his lips together. He was sick of the lies that came from his so-called friend's lips. How could Minho do that to him? He treated him as his brother- even more. All that time, he sacrificed himself and let go of the girl he loved for the sake of his best friend. He placed Minho's happiness over his own, and this is how he's rewarded― betrayal? “I’M ASKING YOU," Taemin yelled with wide and bloodshot eyes, "WHAT THE  FUCK IS THIS LETTER?!” Never, not once in his life, did he ever even think of cursing at his best friend like that, but what could he do? Everything was going so fast that it was a blur to him. He wanted to kill someone, brutally, but thankfully a small, rational part of him knew that murder wouldn't solve anything. All he could do at the moment was curse at Minho, who stood still rooted to his place and frozen like a statue. Taemin's outrage had shocked him frozen, for it was the first time to see him this way. A sudden rush of guilt came over him, knowing full well he was the cause for his 'brother's' anger and distress. An apology was something he had on his mind, but what good would that do? The damage was already done and they both knew an apology wouldn't cut it. The remaining group barged into the room, “What's going on?!”Taemin looked at his hyungs with an unreadable expression, “Well, nothing much," he began sardonically, "Just a certain someone willing to do everything to win a stupid bet." His eyes redirected to the traitor, not looking at him in the eye. "Look at what his pride brought him now: pain and misery, not only to other people, but to himself.” He laughed bitterly and finally made eye contact. “Are you happy now? I guess not; I still haven’t given you your prize yet. Don’t you want to be served? Don’t you have any command for me? I’ll follow them as I promised. But give me a rest for today. I’m tired of this bullshit you caused.” He walked away with a certain arrogant air that masked his defeat and disappointment, not making any eye contact with anyone. On his way out of the room the letter he held fell carelessly to the floor. After the maknae's elegant exit, Key looked at Minho solemnly and asked, “What just happened?” The others remained rooted to the floor, too shocked to even express it on their faces. What was most shocking was the the tears cascading from Minho's eyes, down his cheeks and finally hitting the wooden floors. It was only then that they realized the intensity of the situation. Minho never cried, not in front of them.“Why are you crying?” Onew asked, regaining his senses. The leader walked to him and tried to comfort him, but nothing seemed to work; Minho cried endlessly without a word. Onew didn’t know If he was bad at comforting people or Minho just really wouldn’t stop.Key stepped up, “What happened?” And with that, Minho stopped crying. He had no idea how - or what - to explain nor if he even has the right to do so. If anyone should be talking, it should have been Taemin.“Don’t take your time, Minho. I’m more worried about Taemin than you; so, speak up before I beat you up for making Taemin that…lost.” Key said coldly. He wanted to run after Taemin, but wanted to hear Minho’s side of story first. Besides, he was well aware Taemin was not in the mood for company, remembering his hostile words. “What is this?”Jonghyun repeated the words Taemin had said a few minutes ago as he picked the letter that fell from Taemin’s hand. “Love letter from Haneul to….Taemin?" Jonghyun's eyes diverted from the letter to Minho, bewilderment sketched all over the former's face. "I thought... Haneul liked you,” he paused dramatically, "not Taemin."Key walked to Jonghyun and read the letter. “Okay, this is seriously killing me now. Minho, speak up. I don’t know what to process anymore; I might just go crazy. Taemin, breaking down; you crying; Haneul's confession; these things are happening too fast. What’s really going on?”“And what does Haneul have to do with this?”Onew asked. There was a long pause before silence was broken between the four.“She has everything do with it.” Minho muttered. So, I finally updated.
