Took My Breath Away (1/1)

Taehyung walked gingerly back to his room with his pain pump dragging alone beside him, very careful not to trip over it. JungKook had claimed his bed and Yoongi sat on the seat beside it. “Is he okay?” JungKook asked as soon as Taehyung entered the room. Taehyung shrugged. “I don’t know. He just left me.” “Left?” JungKook questioned. He changed into sitting position. “That’s weird. I should go and see him.” Taehyung’s eyes widened and he shook his head frantically, making sure Yoongi didn’t see him as he did so. Lucky for him, Yoongi was busy with his phone. JungKook snickered and nodded his head in understanding. Taehyung hated being left alone with Yoongi. Yoongi was nice but there’s just something about the rapper that made Taehyung feel uncomfortable being around him. He wouldn’t say Yoongi didn’t like him, but he couldn’t say Yoongi liked him either. Taehyung was holding his back as he sat down on the edge of the bed. “He is acting weird.” “What’s even weird is Yoongi hyung not looking up from his phone.” JungKook said to Yoongi. “Are you not tired of holding your phone too long?” “I have this new lyric I need to get it out of my head before I forget.” Yoongi replied. “Hyung, you are visiting a sick friend and working at the same time.” JungKook said. “Taehyung hyung is deeply wounded. Both at his back and in his heart.” Taehyung wouldn’t say it out loud, but yeah. “Wait.. This is... important” Yoongi reached one hand out. “Do any of you have a pen?” JungKook slapped the older man’s hand away. Taehyung frowned. “Take some rest from work hyung.” JungKook picked up a pillow and threw it at his hyung. He aimed for the legs. “If I drop my phone, you will die Jeon JungKook.” Yoongi warned, still not looking up. “Hoseok hyung said he was just worried. He is a horrible liar.” Taehyung stated.  “Did I vomit on him? Is he mad?” “No you did not.” Both JungKook and Yoongi answered surprisingly in sync. Yoongi said it while making a face, clearly disgusted and JungKook said it while fighting down a laugh. “I think… I remember I did.” Taehyung said. “You didn’t. You just fainted.” Yoongi confirmed. He put his phone aside and propped his legs on the bed, just beside Taehyung. “And if Hobi is angry, we would all know. He isn’t very subtle when he is angry.” “Where is he even going?” JungKook questioned as he fiddle with the tube from Taehyung’s pain pump. “To the van.” Taehyung motioned to his phone. “He just texted me.” “He is crazy. He remembered something he said.” JungKook said. “Maybe a date he forgot to turn up.“ “Or he is just afraid of the creepy nurse.” Yoongi said and thet all laughed. “Don’t make me laugh. My back still hurts.” Taehyung said holding his back. “How are you feeling hyung?” JungKook asked, flashing his toothy smile at Taehyung “Great.” Taehyung replied. “I just want to go home now.” “Are you going back to the dorm?” JungKook asked, beaming. “I miss you.” “I might have to go back to my parents’ first. Mother is still freaking out.” “Yes. It’s better to rest at home than at the dorm.” Yoongi agreed. “Plus, there’s no one to take care of you there.” To Taehyung, Yoongi sounded like he didn’t want him at the dorm. “Yes. Maybe.” Taehyung said. JungKook pursed his lips. “How long will that be?” “I don’t know. It’s just a hairline fractured; it’s not going to take long before I fully heal.” Taehyung told them. He noticed the slight disinterest Yoongi had on his explanation. He knew Yoongi stayed the first night with him but he wasn’t sure if Yoongi was really being caring. If he did, he was doing a great job not to show it. JungKook wrapped an arm around Taehyung’s middle. “Please heal quickly. I miss you so much.” “My…. back.” Taehyung suddenly groaned in pain and doubled over. JungKook let go immediately and apologized. “I am sorry! I am so stupid. Sorry!” “Careful maknae!  He is injured.” Yoongi quickly stood up and started panicking. He didn’t notice his phone had dropped on the floor.  “Should I call the doctor? Oh my god. What should we do? Go call someone JungKook!” JungKook practically jumped off the bed and headed out of the room. “What should I do? Are you okay?” Yoongi held Taehyung's shoulder when Taehyung suddenly stopped moaning and sat straight. “Stop! Stop! I was joking.” Taehyung tried to stop JungKook from leaving but he was already running away to call the doctor. Damn that kid was fast. Yoongi who was now as pale as a ghost, couldn’t even form a word. Taehyung was now left alone with Yoongi whose stare settled between feeling relieved and wanting to kill Taehyung. “I am sorry. Can’t help myself.” Taehyung said. Yoongi was still frozen. Taehyung scooted farther from Yoongi. He knew in his current condition, Taehyung won’t physically abuse him but he just couldn’t risk it. Now was the right time for Jimin to come back from the toilet. “What.. the.. fuck?” Yoongi hissed between his gritted teeth. How the pink haired man that was smaller than him managed to look so scary was beyond him. “I am glad.” “Glad?!” “You actually do care about me.” Yoongi frowned hard. “W-what?” “Nothing. I just thought you don’t like me.” “What the hell makes you think so?” “I don’t know. I just have this feeling that you don’t really like me. You looked like you didn’t care and then you seemed like you don’t want me back to the dorm quick.” Taehyung confessed. There’s a pinch in between Yoongi’s eyebrows.  “I will kill you.” Yoongi snapped. Taehyung lied back down on his bed with a huge smile on his face. “I should have recorded that.” “You asshole!” Jimin shouted. When he saw Jimin and JungKook came running into the room, only then he regretted his action. Jimin wasn’t going let him get away as easy as Yoongi did. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hoseok was intently looking at his phone. What kind of an idiot sends a picture that 80 percent of it consists of just his nose? He fought the urge to reply. He had been fighting the urge to reply and so far he was successful. He knew he should have just checked the message from the notification bar. Wasn’t worth the nagging he will get from SeokJin once SeokJin received a complaint from certain someone about Hoseok not replying.
