Do you ever think that everything will be changed if you choose different option? Or if you have another option you will choose that than what you’ve already choose? Because I won’t. I know it’s not easy, no one ever say it will be easy. I know the risk of my own decision, but I can’t imagine to live a life that not the life that I live right now. Because everything is hard in a beautiful way, because he’s beautiful, because what we had is beautiful.But never crossed in my mind that everything will be change in a second. I always imagine that I will walk down the aisle and he’ll be waiting at the end of aisle with happy tears fall down his face, smiling happily and take my hand from my dad’s. Because I never imagine that I will be the one who watch him from the side of the aisle, smiling happily with tears fall down his face for another woman. For a woman that not me.I watch him and his wife greet all the guest, how they hold each other like we used to, how he look her like how he used to look at me. It hurts. And I don’t know what worse, the fact that now I have to move on or I can’t bring my self to blame my stupid decision.5 years ago “I’m leaving.” That was my first word after not meeting him for 2 months. “Okay, wait a minute I’ll drive you.” He get up and walk to grab his jacket. “No, I mean I’ll leave the country. I got the job, Dae Han. Next month I’ll be leaving to London.” He froze, he just stare at me like he just saw an alien. After a minute silence, he spoke up. “What? And you didn’t tell me that you apply for the job? I thought you say that you will stay here because our engagement. And now what? You’re leaving?” He was furious, I know. Who won’t be furious after 2 months not seeing each other and then drop a big bom. “It’s not like I’m leaving you, I just will be away for 2 years and we will get married. It’s not that I want to break up with you, I love you and I will never break up with you.” “Not leaving me? You’re leaving me Jin Ah and don’t you think that you should discuss this with me before you decided to apply? We already plan for the wedding, for God sake! Don’t you think that I have right to give my opinion?” And now he is beyond furious. In our 6 years relationship, Dae Han never yell at me no matter how mad he is. He always the sane one between the two of us. “I know and I’m sorry. But this is an opportunity that won’t came twice, I know that I should discuss this before but I know that you will never let me take the opportunity. Please this is the only thing that I ask you, support me and I’ll be back in a short time.” “2 years is not a fucking short time Jin Ah,” I stare him blankly, this is the first time I heard him curse. “and you know that! How can I be assure that you will be back in 2 year? How can I be assure that there won’t be another man? How can I andure if miss you?” The latter came as a whisper. He look at his feet and our engagement ring. “Is this thing didn’t mean a thing to you?” He stare at me with his sad eyes and it pain me to saw those eyes. “That thing means a lot to me, please don’t make it sound like I’m breaking up with you Dae Han. I am not breaking up with you Dae Han. Please as my fiance, as my husband to be, understand me that I want challenge my self with something new before we settle down.” I sat down on the couch and rub my face. “I love you Dae Han, I still and I will always be.” “I’m your fiance, Jin Ah! That’s why you should told me! My job already gave us a lot of difficult time. Because of my job we can’t see each other for 2 months and now you tell me that you’re gonna be away for 2 years. 2 years without coming home. I can’t and I don’t want to imagine it. If you want me to understand your decision then you should understand my decision that I will never let you go to London without getting married. It’s you’re going as my wife or you’re going without any label. It’s your choice.” His voice is firm, he said it while he look at me straight to my eyes.
