Chapter 3. I remember you (1/2)

„Kyungsoo, this is your new roommate,” Minseok announced, while he and the other nurse helped the stranger getting into the bed.

“Kai, this is Kyungsoo, Kyungsoo this is Kai.” He introduced the boys, secretly observing the silent exchange between them. Minseok took one last look before leaving with Seunwoo, closing the door. He had to speak with Dr. Cho. Asap.

The silence was filled with curiosity and nervousness. Kyungsoo felt drawn to the boy staring back at him. His heart had calmed down but the euphoria was still here and he felt happy. The boy mirrored Kyungsoo’s curiosity. He was very attractive Kyungsoo observed and felt his cheeks turning red. The tiniest smile formed in the corner of Kai’s mouth.

Kyungsoo cleared his throat.

“…uhmmm… it’s nice to meet you, Kai.” He squeaked, feeling the need to say something and regretting it the second his voice failed him. Kai didn’t reply but kept staring at him. After the silence got awkward Kyungsoo cleared his throat again and looked outside his window not expecting any reply from the handsome boy and tried to ignore the latter’s piercing eyes on him. He fidgeted with his blanket, trying to look everywhere but the boy.

“I remember you” Kai suddenly stated, startling him.

He raised his eyebrows in confusion and turned his head back to Kai.

“What?” He asked perplexed. Kai didn’t respond.

“Uhm… I don’t recognize you, sorry… Are we going to the same school maybe?” He asked, but was certain to have never seen the boy before. He would know if he had seen that face.

The tanned boy snorted.

“Excuse me?” Kyungsoo asked, shocked about Kai’s attitude.

“Nothing”

“I…what?” He was so confused as he didn’t expect the boy to be like that.

Again Kai kept quiet, just staring at him.

He was uncomfortable and didn’t know how to act, but at the same time, he was curious about who Kai was and how he knew him.

“Do it” Kai demanded.

„What?“
