His Past (1/1)
I blinked furiously, but the Dongwoo replicate standing before me lingered in its position, unwavering and intimidating. I gulped."D-Dongwoo...?" I stammered, unsure of the response I would recieve. The erect creature appeared as a stranger, whereas Dongwoo, as easily offended as he was, appeared to be much more gentle. This being was filled with hate and a cloak of ice enshrouded its body. Like Death itself... 'Dongwoo' made to motion to speak, but walked quietly towards me, his footsteps deafeningly silent. I turned my head to the side and tried to sink into the wall, but it remained unyielding to my pleads."I asked you a question..." he said gravely upon kneeling down before me. He held my chin and forced me to look up into his cold, black eyes."W-What are you talking about... Y-You know w-who I am..." I stammered. I felt like any second I would be thrown into the abyss of hell to burn away for all eternity. "I apparently do not know," he stated. "I do not know how you came to possess the Celestial Blade responsible for the Young Master's pain. Are you in league with the Hunters?" His grip tightened until I winced."I-I..." I trailed off, trembling under his gaze. He emitted the aura of death from every part of his body, especially his eyes. He smirked at my expression."What's the matter? Afraid of Death, are we?" he whispered. My eyes widened."Y-You're...!!" If I was scared before, I was terrified now.Terrified to the bottom of my stomach. Myungsoo POV: Fate was playing a cruel game; I was just a mere pawn on the chessboard. It toyed with me however it pleased, with no remorse or mercy, and now using the past as a key to the painful memories stored deep inside me. The memories I never wanted to see again... I remembered everything that had happened that day, every little detail...especially the face of that boy. He was tall for his age with a littly chubby face and eyes filled with hope and passion. I knew from the moment I saw him that he would never be a true Hunter. He was too soft. He had a heart. A heart to help me... A monster. But I was wrong. Seeing him in the forest that day had shattered that thought. Seeing him lead the band of Hunters in search of the nightwalker had made me realized that he had changed. Seeing him radiate that dark aura had shown that he was no longer the boy I had met that night. He had the mind of a Hunter, the hatred of vampires, and the desire to kill... That little boy who had begged his father to spare the monsters was gone. He had died that night. Because of me. Because of what I had done. Sungyeol POV: I cursed. Damn him. Damn that blood-sucking leech. I secured the bandage around my arm and then pulled my jacket back on. I should have listened to my father that night so many years ago... If I had just cast aside my childish thoughts, none of this would have happened and I would probably be living a normal and peaceful life by now. If only I had just clamped my mouth shut and gone along with his wishes. No, I had to waste my breath... Waste my breath defending vile monsters. They didn't deserve to live. Every single one of them had to die. Especially Myungsoo...for what he did to me... 'Father, please! Just let him go! He's just a kid!' I begged, clutching onto my father's sleeve."SILENCE, SUNGYEOL!! Do you have any idea what you are dealing with? They are monsters! They live by killing people like us! Feel sympathy for them, and they will destroy you! They will tear your throat open and drain that blood that gives you life. Then they will watch and laugh while you slowly bleed to death! Either you kill them, or they will kill you! THEY ARE MONSTERS!! NOW YOU AND SUNGJONG KEEP SEARCHING!! I WANT THAT LITTLE BEAST DEAD BEFORE ME! I WANT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THOSE FREAKS DESTROYED!!' I made that mistake. I felt sympathy for them...for him, and for that, I paid the price. No, Sungjong did. 'Yeol..What are we going to do...?' Sungjong asked me. I looked back at my little brother. 'The right thing, Jongie,' I replied. 'We're going to help him...' "Yeol...is that a good idea?' he asked nervously.'I don't care. I don't want to see a kid get killed. Father has taken too many lives already. They've never done anything to us. Why do we have to fear them? Just because of some stories we've heard from the other hunters? How do we know those stories are true or not, Jongie?' I asked. 'I want to believe in the truth. I don't want to grow up believing in rumors that may or may not be true. Come on, let's find him, before Father does.' Sungjong smiled and nodded.'Father underestimates you, Yeol,' he said. We searched everywhere but came up with nothing to prove our efforts. 'He has to be here somewhere...' I mumbled. My eyes lit up. 'Jongie, let's say we're playing hide and seek. Where would you hide?' Sungjong gave me a weird look. 'I don't know, maybe in the closet somewhere? Or under a table? Somewhere no one would think to look--' His eyes widened. 'Exactly.' I grinned. Who better to find a kid, than a kid? We both raced upstairs. 'Found you...' we heard a deep voice say from the master bedroom bathroom and my heart dropped to my stomach. I knew that voice. It was one of the most skilled Hunters. The kid had no chance against him. Hoya's father. I had to think fast. I motioned to Sungjong.'Ahjussi!!' I called out. In the older man's distraction, I tackled him as hard as I could around the legs. 'Mianheyo!' He crumbled like a doll, his head hitting the bathroom wall and he was knocked unconscious. I was going to be in so much trouble. I had known I would have consequences to face. None of them, however, could be worse than this vampire boy's fate if my Father got his hands on him. I turned to the open cupboard door under the sink. The garbage can had been pull out to reveal the boy crouched behind it, sobbing his heart out. I could feel my own heart clench at the sight of him. He had short, jet black hair, skin pale as the shimmering moon...and dark, alluring eyes... I found myself staring at his eyes as if hypnotized, but Sungjong snapped me out of my trance.'Yeol, you found him..." he whispered. The boy made a hissing sound like a cornered cat, a sign for us to back off and give him some space.'Hey...it's ok...' I said gently, trying to calm him down. 'We're not here to hurt you. It's ok. We're going to help you escape.' The boy hissed at me again, showing me his teeth. Two tiny fangs extended lower than his other teeth. He looked kind of cute.''My name is Sungyeol, and this is my little brother, Sungjong,' I said. 'What's your name?' The boy looked at me with acid in his eyes, like I was the monster. 'Come on, you can trust us. I promise you.' I held out a hand to him, which he swatted away.'Don't be afraid, like Yeol said, we won't hurt you,' Sungjong joined in.'...Y-Yeol...?' the boy hiccupped in a broken voice. I felt the urge just to pull him into a hug, to calm him down and assure him that everything was going to be alright. That would most likely not go over too well. Instead, I smiled widely in response.'That's what Jongie calls me,' I replied.'Jongie?' he said, cracking a small smile. 'Uh huh, that's what Yeol calls me,' Sungjong said, pointing at his chest. 'You can call me Jongie, too, if you want.''And you can call me Yeol,' I added. '...M-Myungsoo...' he whispered.'Myungsoo? Your name is Myungsoo?' I asked. He nodded shyly. I grinned. 'Ok, then we'll call you Myungie!' He smiled softly. I held out my hand again. 'Let's get you out of here, ok, Myungie?' He hestitated, but slowly took my hand. I narrowed my eyes, doing up my jacket again. I pulled out my Celestial Blade and looked at its gleaming form. It had a deep, royal blue blade that resembled glass clasped onto a pearl hilt and handle. Twisted pearl bars swirled around the base of the blade, creating movement towards the large ruby embedded into the centre of the hilt. The entire dagger was about a foot and a half long and looked like a treasure of the richest king on earth. I awaited the day where this blade would sink into the heart of that leech... I thought I had made friends with him that night...but I was so wrong. Together, the three of us ran out to the bedroom and over to the window. 'It's ok, we'll help you escape. You'll be able to get away through the window,' I said. 'Look in the bedrooms! Look in the bathrooms! Do not leave a single room unsearched!' I heard my father's voice demand from the hallway and I began to panic. I looked back at the two of them; Myungsoo's terrified doe eyes bore into my soul. My heart clenched. I had to help him. I couldn't let him die. 'Jongie, you help Myungie get out of here. I'll lead off Father,' I said. 'Bye, Myungie. I hope you live a happy and safe life. I'll never forget you.' With that short goodbye, I ran off. I had no idea I would be in the biggest shock of my life in mere moments. I just ran off with the heart to protect a friend... _____________________ HEY GUISESH~ DRAMA IS ONNNNNNNNNNNNN XD HAHAHAHAHAHA SUBSCRIBE~COMMENT~UPVOTE~LUBBS CHUUUUUU~ <3333333333333333333333333333333333
