His Voice (1/1)

I'm crying.......... THAT HURTS PEOPLE.....THAT HURTS LIKE HELL................Somebody unsubscribed...TTATTWHAT DID I DO WRONG????????? TTATT I KNOW IT'S INEVITABLE, BUT STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TTATTV.V" *SIGH*  ______________ Linh POV: 'We shall see where this leads, won't we...Linh-ah?' a voice echoed in my head. Stumbling back, I held a hand to my pulsing temple."Wh..what..."I stammered, having been taken by surprise. I had never before experienced this pressure inside my head, pushing against the sides of my skull. And then, just like that, it was gone. I leaned against the trunk of a tree for support, gasping in air like I was drowning. My entire body trembled uncontrollably. I could recognize that voice anywhere...the voice that had whispered in my ear just before I was bitten...It was his voice...Myungsoo's... "How are you in my head?!" I cried out into the night, but received no reply. "Damn you, how the hell are you in my mind?!!" My head started pounding and I whined in pain. "B-Bastard...I will h-hunt you down and kill you...if it's the l-last thing I do..."'You are welcome to try...' he replied stoically. My head felt like it was being twisted and wrung like a wet cloth and was about to burst when the tension finally subsided and I collapsed against the tree, genuinely afraid. But I wasn't about to back down. I wasn't about to let fear control me.Not this time. How he had entered my mind and attacked my nerves, I was ignorant of, but I would find out. I would learn his trade and use it against him, taking my vengence in the process. I blinked. My vision swirled and then focused in one particular direction. A strong connection pulled me towards the makeshift trail; my eyes flushed their deadly blood red and I gave into my instinct, once again allowing the hunter inside me to break free. I didn't think of anything other than following the path my mind's eye had laid out for me. It stood out like a rushing river in the middle of the forest, clear and distinct like the sparkling waters themselves; I was aware that in no other eyes but my own, could it be seen."What is going on...?" Something at the back of my mind told me what I sought would be at the end of the path. I could feel my razor sharp canines lengthen in their anticipation for blood; it was as if they possessed a will of their own. Above me, the crimson moon overlooked the situation about to unfold. Myungsoo POV: The scent intensified. I looked up from my book and breathed in. The blood that I longed for...longed to feel trickling down my throat...longed to feel filling my stomach...was drawing nearer and nearer. I marked my page and set the book aside, making my way over to the window of my study. I pushed the drawn, mahogany drapes aside slightly, letting a thin beam of moonlight stream into the room like a ballerina's ribbon dance. Dark green canopies greeted my eyes. Somewhere, beneath that ocean of leaves...she was coming."So...you've finally realized it..." I whispered to myself. "I'll be waiting..." My head snapped slightly to one side as something else caught my attention and I hissed. "Damn..." Linh POV: My legs raced through the forest with such speed that I felt like I was flying, my feet ghosting over the uneven terrain. I felt power and vitality in each step. Every muscle in my body rippled with strength and answered my every command with ease. Fatigue simply didn't exist. I was a different person, a different being altogether. I was getting used to the new windows this body opened to me; the sight, the hearing, the sense...but there was one that will forever haunt me.The smell.Blood was always prominent. If there was another living creature with the fluid pumping throught the vessels beneath its skin, I would smell it even if I didn't want to. I could hold my breath, sink my head under the water, or try and mask it with a different scent, but it would always find a way to trigger my thirst. I just couldn't escapte it no matter how hard I tried. I skidded to a stop and froze, a cold shiver running down my spine. There it was.Blood.And lots of it.It smelled absolutely decadant, playing with my nose and taunting it like the Devil himself. It wafted down my airway and settled deep in my throat, awakening the monster that resided there."No..." I hissed as my fangs grew even longer on their own and venom dripped from the razor-sharp tips like a melting icicle; they were no longer under my control. My eyes glazed over with the lust of predatorial hunger, prancing between red and black hues. They searched for the position of that alluring feast, pinpointing it in a matter of seconds. I breathed in again, the scent having multiplied.There...Altering the course of my trek, I made for the new destination.Dinner. I had not made it very far when something flew out from the trees, heading straight for my heart. If it wasn't for my new vampire senses, I would not have been able to  avoid the deadly blade, which in turn, embedded itself into the trunk of the tree behind me. It was a sharpened, sickle-like weapon attached to one end of a chain while the other end penetrated into the depths of the cat's cradle of tree branches and trunks, the wielder obscured even from my piercing eyesight. The chain rattled as it was tugged and the blade dislodged itself from the wood, retreating back into the unknown. I narrowed my eyes as nothing happened next, just peace and quiet. I couldn't see anything, couldn't hear anything, and worst of all, couldn't even sense anything. It was as if nothing happened at all.But that was merely the calm before the storm. From every direction around me, countless weapons emerged, angrily slicing through the air. Swords, daggers, more of the sickle blades, arrows, and even a golden net with weights attached. My eyes frantically darted from one side to another, desperately seeking an escape route and finding none. The weapons were merely a few feet away and approaching fast.Jump..."W-What?"The tree just above you to your left. Jump...Now.Ignoring the confusion, I obeyed and gathered up my strength before springing off of my feet. Sure enough, a large tree stood just slightly to my left with limbs spread around it's trunk like a network of a spider's web; I grasped onto a high branch before swinging my leg around it and winded up in a sitting poition above it. The blades and arrows clashed in one massive cacophony of scraping metal."Whoa...How-" Rustling interrupted me and my eyes snapped wide open, alert and scanning; but once again, nothing came into focus as the sounds stopped. I strained my ears to listen for something...anything. Were my new senses failing me already? Or could I simply not control it? After all, this was only the second day of my becoming a vampire...Suddenly, a tiny whipping sound echoed from my left, but before I could react, a thin, silver chain had wound itself around my dangling ankle and knotted itself securely in place."Wha-?" A harsh pull and I crashed onto the ground, still ensnared in the trap. Another two chains flew from the shadows, aiming to bind my wrists, but the same trick wasn't about to happen twice. I grabbed the weights at the ends of the chains before they complete their jobs. I yanked them back harshly, pulling them out from their weilders' hands. Using them as harsh whips, I lashed out at the bushes from where the attacks had originated and managed to slice off the top half of all the shrubbery, knocking out a couply trees in the process. I brought my trapped leg up and then stepped harshly down on the chain; grasping it in my hand, I pulled it as hard as I could while whipping at the other end with one of the other chains in my control. The tension in the line burst and the chain fell limply onto the ground where I reeled it towards myself before anyone caught hold of it and dragged me around like a dog on a leash. I began untangling myself from the bindings.Don't you dare take your eyes off of the situation. Pay attention. My head snapped up again. It was the voice from before again."How the hell-"Just listen to me!"Are you kidd-"I found then that I should have listened. Two daggers protruded from the tree trunk just beside my head; I could see a couple strands of hair drifting gently to the ground. My breath hitched as I realized just how close that was. Too close.I didn't like this. This feeling of being caged. There were enemies lurking around in the shadows all around me...and I couldn't even tell where one of them resided. I felt too vulnerable, like a lone sheep in the middle of an open field filled with a pack of wolves; it was basically a free dinner for them. I shifted slightly.Don't. Move."YAH!! Why the hell are you telling me what to do, you bastard!!" I shouted angrily. "AND GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" Big mistake.Three swords shot out of nowhere and I whined when one of them skimmed the skin on my shoulder; the other two thankfully missed...barely. Faint voices reached my ears, followed by more rustling. I tried to stand up.I said don't move. Wait. Listen."Why don't you just fuck off?" I snapped, pulling the sword out of the tree and away from my wound. I ignored the command and rose onto my feet, sword in in one hand and chain in the other. Whoever those damn cowards were, I was going to flush them out of their hiding places. You don't know what you're up against..."And you do?" I scoffed. "Who the hell do you think you are? First, you try to blow my head apart, and now you're trying to help me? What sick, twisted game are you playing?" I whipped the chain at every possible hiding place I could see; the damn thing was powerful, still holding together. It definitely was not a normal weapon. It's merely a matter of keeping the trophy away from the other team..."Well whatever it is, I refuse to be a pawn in it," I hissed. You don't have a choice... You're an important player in the game..."Bullshit!! I don't want any part in this. I don't want to be a starving leech without a sense for anything but blood!! I want my life back damn you!!!" I screeched, going wild and attacking everything in sight in my frenzy of desperation. I could feel the tears of blood stream down my face in silent, scarlet rivers. All of my emotions came flooding back into me. Lita...Kana...my family... Trees crashed onto the ground in a maze of wooden trunks, branches hanging askew from their mother; leaves exploded in puffing clouds of emeral green. In my craze, I failed to realize that the end of the chain had hooked on something."So it's true..." a deep voice spoke aloud. "The nightwalker has been turned..." I froze and looked up in the direction to see a tall, well-built, but not overly muscular, man dressed all in black emerge from the unknown depths of the forest with a stern expression on his face. All around me, many other forms began materializing; looking around, I approximated there to be at least a dozen of them. I turned back to the one who spoke as he opened his mouth again. "Tell me...who is your bond partner?" His voice sent shivers down my spine. It was cold and emotionless, laced with bitter hate that bit at whatever was left of my soul like a pack of wild hyenas. He sounded dangerous.I warned you... _____________________________________________________FULL CHAPTER UP 8DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD AND IT DIDN'T TAKE ME A MONTH TO UPDATE IT :DDDDDD ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!~(^0^~)(~^0^)~~(^0^)~\(^0^\)(/^0^)/\(^0^)/ ~ WOOHOOOOOOOOOO~AGAIN, I KNOW IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GUYS WANTED...BUT I TRIED :/ DOESN'T THAT COUNT FOR SOMETHING??
