Chapter 12 (1/1)

Chapter Song >> Follow You Jungkook never calls. Despite his nonchalant promise to stay in touch with the older, he never called nor tried to keep in touch. At least, that’s how Taehyung sees it, from his point of view. Things calmed down after leaving the island, for the latter. He returned to his usual daily routine, working at his tattoo studios and managing the club with Taemin. Going back to Seoul helped him clear his mind a little bit, despite the hecticness of his earlier mentioned routine. Still, he thinks of Jungkook every night before going to bed and images of the younger suddenly flush through his mind during various times of the day but he isn’t complaining at all because things are different this time and everyone knows it. Whatever happened in the island stayed in the island. No one mentioned anything; not Taemin or Taehyung, not even Hwayoung’s grandparents –because they knew, of course, they did. He did not try to contact Jungkook either, thinking that the younger would be too busy to talk or meet up. He never found out if his mother actually died at the hospital and in all honesty, does not really care to find out. What bothers him the most is that he is completely clueless about Jungkook’s relationship status with Soojung, after their leave. Did they break up? Jungkook would definitely have contacted him if that had happened. So, they didn’t? As earlier mentioned, he is clueless. Nevertheless, the mystery does not last too long. It’s two months after breaking apart when he is officially informed of Jungkook’s plans for his future. “It doesn’t look good.” the client Taehyung is currently hovering above comments, earning a deep sigh from the latter. The buzzing noise of Taehyung’s tattoo gun continues to echo around and the space never falls silent, “As I said before, it will look the way you want it to look when I add color.” he tries really hard to sound as polite as possible because that particular, overly annoying man, along with dozens of others are his main source of income, and acting like a brat would only take that away from him. “Okay I certainly do not trust you because it looks like shit and you just want to get your money so whatever, I’ll just laser it off one day.” the man whines and his voice makes Taehyung’s temples ache. “Good luck with that..” he murmurs under his breath and swallows a laugh, keeping his eyes focused on inking the man’s abdomen. The glass door opens then and his brother appears, all dressed up in a black suit that no sane person would wear and walk through such an infamous neighbourhood. His usual smirk is plastered on his face and Taehyung knows he is up to no good but simply can’t bring himself to imagine the reason. “Get yourself suited up, baby brother!” he shouts louder than what he, himself, had intended to and throws his arms in the air, “We have a wedding to crash!” His unexplained behaviour manages to draw a single chuckle from Taehyung and the younger one rolls away from the client on his chair, taking both of his black gloves off, “What are you talking about?” he laughs, taking the square, beige paper Taemin is holding in his hands. And then slowly, all the colour is drained from his face and his blood freezes in his veins.                                 Jung Soojung & Jeon JungkookJoyfully invite you to share in their happiness as they unite in marriage on Sunday, the 2nd of October. He looks up to Taemin, whose previous smirk has been replaced by a genuine frown, “Let’s crash that wedding, brother.” the elder whispers, placing a hand on his the other's shoulder. He knows the younger is only minutes away from starting to shake. He knows he is so close to having an anxiety attack and he is determined to make sure that it is not going to happen. Not again. Taehyung looks up, blinking rapidly in the hope of getting an explanation. He is unable to comprehend, owing to the blankness that has taken over his mind. Jungkook is getting married to Soojung and all he can do is –nothing. Rolling back to his overly confused client, Taehyung shakes his head with a sigh, “I’m not crashing their wedding, Taemin. Apparently, they are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” he grabs his tattoo gun and places it softly on top of the man’s skin, “I’m not hurting him again.” Taemin laughs out loud, although it sounds more like a scoff. Frankly, he is genuinely surprised his brother is reacting so calmly, “You don’t get it, Tae. We need to crash that wedding, we have to stop it from hap– ” “Stop being so selfish, for once in your life, Taemin! We are not ruining anyone’s wedding,” Taehyung snaps, standing up once again to face Taemin. A soft cough snaps them back to reality and both of the males turn to look at the client, “Err, I’ll go to the bathroom for a sec.” he suddenly announces, obviously to give them some privacy. How polite. “Careful not to touch your abdomen.” Taehyung warns him. He takes a seat immediately and runs his fingers through his hair, feeling his legs giving in. “He doesn’t want it, Taehyung..” Taemin says as gentle as possible, taking a few steps closer. “You don’t know shit about what he wants.” the younger chuckles darkly, his gaze locked on his lap, where his fingers are gripping on his pants tightly. “Tae,” Taemin calls, and the way his voice sounds so steady and sure makes Taehyung look up to him right away, “I need you to trust me on this..” he cups Taehyung’s face in his palm and smiles at him, “Let’s crash that wedding.” Taehyung is against it, he surely is. However, something tells him to comply, to actually follow Taemin and his insanely selfish plan. He would do anything if it meant he could be with Jungkook. And he smirks. He smirks in his own twisted way before glancing at the bathroom, “Let’s.” — Jungkook barely makes it on time to the hospital; which is ironic because everything was absolutely fine.
