The day of their performance has finally come and everyone in their class were both excited and nervous for it. Minju, however, is stressed because it had come to her knowledge that the audition for the play was moved today, exactly after their performance. How great. "Argh. This is frustrating." Minju huffed in annoyance. "Why did they suddenly reschedule the audition? I thought it was already set for next week?" Tomi asked in confirmation. "It was! And I don't know why they decided to change it all of a sudden." she was growing more and more annoyed as each second passed by. "Are you gonna handle this though?" Yuri asked, worried for their friend. "I need to. More like I have no choice. Let's just get this over with." They were given time to practice before their final performance for later but Yujin was nowhere to be found, making Minju even more annoyed. "Damn. Where the hell is Yoo Yujin at?"  Just then, Yujin came inside the classroom with the guitar placed on her back. She quickly made her way to Minju's place but was stopped by Nako, Tomi and Yuri. "Careful Yujin-ah. She's extra prickly today." Nako warned her. "And why is that?" "Go ahead and find it out."  She shook her head and made her way towards Minju. "Hey." she greeted the other girl. "Where were you?' "Gosh, she is extra prickly today." she mumbled. "What were you saying?" "Nothing." "You didn't answer my question. Where were you?" she asked sternly. "And why should that concern you? Why? Did you miss me?" "We need to have one last practice before the performance and here you are wandering around who knows where." "Chill okay? I just borrowed a guitar pick from Gaeul since I left mine at the house." Minju's ears perked upon hearing the name. "Kim Gaeul?" "Yeah. Anything wrong with that?" "Nothing. Just didn't know you two were close." "Well, sorta." "Enough of that, let's get to practice."   They finished a round of practice already yet Minju wants to go through again because of her intense nervousness for today's events. "Hey look Minju, it was perfect already. If we do another round of practice then it might affect your voice. Chill first okay? Let loose. Don't worry about it too much." Yujin assured  her and Minju suddenly became aware of how she's been acting since earlier. "I'm sorry for that. I'm really nervous and stressed right now." "Oh? Why is that?"  "They moved the audition today, after our performance. I've been preparing for this for a long time and I really wanna get it." "Don't worry about that. I'm sure you will." Yujin gave her a reassuring smile. "And how do you know that? " "I just do. You need to start believing in your own capabilities. Because I believe in you." "Because I believe in you." words that made Minju's heart swelled in happiness. "Thank you, Yujin."  "No problem." the taller revealed her dimpled smile and gave Minju a pat in the back. Unknown to them, the other three witnessed all of that and was now wondering what on earth happened for them to act like this instead of their usual selves. When the time for their performance came, Yujin and Minju sat next to each other while nervously waiting for their time. "Minju and Yujin?" Irene called up for their attention, "You guys are up next." "We can do this." Minju says as she got up. "Of course we can. Let's do this and let's do this well." Yujin second. They both went up to the small podium and prepared for their performance. Yujin settled herself on the chair on the corner with her guitar on her hand before turning to Minju. "You good?" "Yeah. Let's do this." I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper ringsUh huh, that's rightDarling, you're the one I want, andI hate accidents except when we went from friends to thisUh huh, that's rightDarling, you're the one I want Minju sang along to the chorus with the crowd jamming along with her while Yujin was also their enjoying their performance. However, when Minju reached the last chorus and closing part of the song, what shocked her is that Yujin went to sing along with her. Yes. Yoo Yujin did that.  I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper ringsUh huh, that's rightDarling, you're the one I want, and Minju looked at her in shock but then focused her attention back in front where their other classmates are and continued singing. I hate accidents except when we went from friends to thisUh huh, that's rightDarling, you're the one I want You're the one I want They both finished their performance and received a round of applause from their classmates and from Mrs. Kang herself.  They both got out of the podium with happy smiled on their faces. "That was great! You were great!" Minju gushed as they went back to their seats. "Thanks. You sounded amazing as well." "How come though? You said you don't sing?" Yujin just smiled at her, "Well, there's always a first time for everything." "You should sing more often. You sound really nice." "I think I'll take that into consideration." Minju chuckled at this and somehow after that day, her relationship with Yujin was slowly shifting. "Hey, good luck on your audition later by the way. You'll do good." "Thank you." Minju sincerely said with a smile. "I'll watch your audition. You know, to show support." Minju looked at her confusingly, "Why? Even unnie doesn't like watching my auditions. She thinks it's too boring." "I want to watch you on the thing you do best. Acting."  For the second time today, her heart swelled in happiness. And it was because of one person. Yoo Yujin.  When they were all done with their performances, Minju quickly changed and prepared herself for the audition. "Hey Min, good luck on your audition."  "Yeah, break a leg bestie!"  "Go go go actress Minju Chou." Her best friends were being all supportive and that made her less nervous for this audition. "Thanks you guys. You'll be there, right?" "Of course! We wouldn't want to miss it." They all gathered in the auditorium since the auditions will be held there. She was seated up front together with the other theater members that wanted to audition for the main role while seated on the table in front of the stage is Miss Kim Jisoo, their theater teacher, Sakura, their club president, and Choi Jisu, their club vice president. They all started with the minor roles before proceeding to the major roles and Minju just became more and more nervous as each name gets called. She looked back and saw her friends happily waving at her with an encouraging smile and mouthing the words "You can do it!" while doing a fighting pose. She smiled at them and looked around, trying to spot someone along the crowd. "She said she'd watch..." Minju thought to herself. "Of course she just said that, she never meant it."  She sighed disappointingly and focused her attention to the audition despite the unpleasant feeling her heart is feeling right now. The minor roles were all finished and they proceeded to the major roles. The list went alphabetically and Minju's last name being C, she was called on first.  "Go! You can do it Minju-ya!" she heard her friends cheering for her out loud. She looked back at them and made a fighting pose before going to the stage. Once she was up there, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. The moment she opened them, it landed on those pair of eyes that captivated hers ever since that day. For the third time today, her heart swelled in happiness again as she saw the one person she was wishing to see standing at the back with a smile on her face and gave her a thumbs up. Her heart is swelling in too much happiness right now, all because of no other than Yoo Yujin.  "Okay Minju, you may start." Miss Jisoo gave her a go signal and so she went with it.  The moment she finished her audition, loud claps could be heard and her theater teacher, Sakura, and Jisu gave her a standing ovation.  "Bravo! Job well done Minju. Job well done."  "Thank you so much." she bowed and smiled and left the stage after that.  Once the auditions were finished, Yeji approached Minju with a big smile on her face. "Congratulations out there Minju. You did well on your audition." "Thank you. You did well out there also." They talked for a bit before Minju excused herself to go find her friends. "Minju, over here!" she heard Nako shout and followed where it was, and there she found her friends. "You did great Min! You'll surely get that main role now!" "Awe. Thanks you guys." she opened her arms wide, "Hugs?" They all did a group hug and jumped around while giggling. "Wait. Excuse me, I need to look for someone." Minju excused herself and searched for Yujin in the crowd of people. "Looking for me?" she turned around when she heard a familiar voice. "Hey, you came." "Of course I would. I told you, didn't I?" the taller showed her dimpled smile, "Congratulations by the way. You were amazing." "Thank you." "Oh, and here." Yujin offered her a pack of gummies and Minju accepted it shyly. "Thank you for this." "No biggie." "I need to go now, I just escaped from football practice and I'm sure your sister's already looking for me." "Yeah sure. Good luck on your practice." "Thanks, and congratulations again. I hope you get that part." Yujin gave her one last smile and left the auditorium in a hurry. Minju was now a blushing mess while staring at the pack of gummies on her hands. "She escaped practice just so she could watch my audition? Omaygadnis." she thought to herself and internally squealed. "Goodness why does she have that effect on me now after the.." Minju was blushing more at her thoughts and decided to shake it off and go back to her friends.
