Marie’s fresh wounds were bleeding. She cleaned them and gently placed Band-Aids over them. It was already late at night, but she decided to sneak out for walk.∼Meanwhile in the DMTN dormitory∼Daniel was tossing and turning in his bed. He just couldn’t sleep. He had tried to for hours, but nothing worked. Soon Inati walked into his room.“Can’t sleep either?” He said, sitting down on Daniels bed.“How did you know?” Daniel cocked his eyebrow for his hyung.“My room is right next to yours. Every time you turn around in your bed, I can hear it” Inati answered.“Want to go for a walk?” he continued. Daniel sighed.“Sure. Let me just change my clothes first.”∼Marie made her way into a small park almost two kilometers away from her house. It was completely empty except for a few old men who were obviously drunk. She sat down under a big tree and leaned her back against the trunk. She pulled a blue ribbon out her pocket. Her foster mother gave her the ribbon when she was about six. The truth was, the ribbon used to belong to Marie’s birth mother. She gave Marie’s foster mother the ribbon, so she could give it to Marie. Marie of course didn’t know all this. Like many adopted kids, she didn’t know she was adopted.∼Daniel and Inati walked to the park in complete silence, both breathing in the fresh air. Suddenly Daniel stopped Inati.“Hey, hyung, let’s get something to eat!” he shouted. Inati yawned.“I’m too lazy to get some” he growled. Daniel jumped around Inati.“Don’t worry hyung, you find us a bench to sit in, I’ll find us some food!” Before Inati could reply, Daniel skipped away. Inati sighed and started to look for a bench. He searched through the area with his. He stopped at a girl who was sitting under a tree. Inati cocked his head as he kept his eyes on the girl. She was pretty. She had a long, blonde hair and she was tall. She was caressing something in her hands and smiled. Inati wanted to talk to her, but before he could, she got up and started to walk away. She put the something into her pocket. Inati stared at her as she disappeared into the darkness. Soon Daniel came back with their food.∼Marie woke up the next morning, feeling the bruises all over her body. She swiftly got up and threw on her school uniform. She didn’t even eat breakfast, since she wanted to get out the house as soon as possible. She started to run towards her school. Then she ran into someone, causing her to fall to the ground.“Oh my god I am so sorry!” she gasped. The person she ran into turned to look at her. He was tall; he had brown hair and brown eyes that almost disappeared when he smiled.“It’s fine. Are you okay?” He looked really friendly. Marie just stared at him.“I’m okay” she whispered. The man continued smiling. He offered his hand to Marie. Marie grabbed it and he helped her up.“Thanks” Marie said and dusted her clothes.“I’m Jeesu, by the way” the man said.“I’m Marie” she smiled at him. She realized that she was still holding his hand, so she let go.“Nice to meet you, Marie. Please promise me that next time you’ll be a bit more careful” Jeesu asked.“Sure. I should go now. Sorry again, Jeesu-sshi. Bye!” Marie said and ran away.
