Three years after Jae brought his girlfriend to the palace, they were just about to get engaged after dating for so long and going out to meet up with each other's family. However, at the last minute, the young woman cancelled it off and broke Jae's heart to a million pieces. Knowing what happened, Ten tried to become the support by Jae's side and the elder man accepted Ten's hands of comfort but he's thinking that Ten is just being a wonderful little brother that he never had since he only has two younger sisters in his life."He really likes you oppa and you broke his heart just like that. I thought that you were going to at least give him a chance." Yujin says as they hang out together on the weekend of summer and Jae looks at his younger sister with a small smile."Well... we did go out for a little while and I gave myself a chance to get to know him and he is beautiful when he changes to his woman form but... it is not fair to him when I only look at him properly when he is in his woman form and completely don't have the heart when he turns back to his man form... he's really just like a little brother to me and I still like girls more than boys." Jae says while looking at Yujin making the young girl shake her head and then she sees Yuna coming in with Lisa at her side."Hey you... what are you doing here?" Yujin asks Lisa and the young girl is all smiles while bowing politely to her elder cousin."We have a lesson to do together for school, the others will be coming too." Lisa says and her eyes trail to Jae who is also looking at her curiously."Lisa you have grown to a wonderful young woman, I hardly see you nowadays." Jae says making the young girl smile and looking at her elder cousin with a small smirk."For the past three years you were busy with your own world, of course you didn't notice me." Lisa says and Yuna looks at her best friend with worry."Lisa I did say that you need to behave today, right?" Yuna says to her cousin and Lisa just looks at Yuna with a small smile."It's the truth, right? And oppa... I'm sorry that the engagement did not go the way you wanted it to... but you are a good looking man, surely, you already have someone in your mind as replacement, right?" Lisa says making Jae a little bit speechless but he does know that Lisa's character is really sharp with her tongue and wonder where does her character come from when he she has such lovable parents."LISA!" Both Yuna and Yujin exclaim at the same time making Jae laugh and Lisa glances at her cousins with a questioning look on her face."What?!" She asks and Yuna drags the young girl away while Yujin pinches her temple."Why can't she be more elegant like her mother?" Yujin says and that statement makes Jae laugh even more but at the same time, it triggers something unusual in his heart."She really is feisty one, how old is she right now?" Jae asks making Yujin look at her elder brother with knitted brows."She's too young for you, oppa... 4 years apart from your age, don't even think about it." Yujin says while glaring at the young man but Jae is just all smiles and thinking that age does not matter if he starts to get interested in someone."I heard Taeyong will be coming home this summer, I have not seen him in a while." Jae says while looking at his sister since he knows that Yujin and the other cousins around the same age with Taeyong are really close with each other, unlike him who somehow distanced himself from everyone since they were young. He doesn't know why but, maybe it had something to do with him being the eldest of their generation even if he's actually just the same age with Taeyong."Yeah... this year will be his final year at his school of magic and he's much more powerful than he was before. Do you know that he actually hates coming back to the palace because he'll see the one that he loves who's in love with someone else." Yujin says making Jae look at his sister with a small sigh."Look, I already told Ten that I don't have the same feelings like the ones he has for me and he understands, so now, we are just being good friends." Jae says."I know... but even though you say that, he still has feelings for you and when you're keeping him close to you like that, it will build hope for him which he would think that eventually, you will take his hand and hold him." Yujin says."He is not hoping for something like that, he understands that I only go for women." Jae says making Yujin nod before shaking her head."I was hoping Taeyong would just move on and it hurts me seeing him like that. Just like you, he's stubborn with what he wants, keeps insisting he doesn't want anyone else except for Ten which annoys me when there is a line of girls who have been waiting for him but he only picks them just for his pleasure... knowing that makes me angry!" Yujin says with a huff. "Are you mad at me because of that?" Jae asks."Yes... you are part of what made him like that." Yujin says and they both stay quiet for a while and then they talk again about another matter and Jae never said anything about Taeyong or Ten again after that.   The summer vacation has finally started and Taeyong is coming back to his home which makes his parents happy, especially Junhee who has been missing her son so bad since Taeyong chose to stay in the dorms even though he could go home everyday with the reason that he wanted to concentrate on his studies since he is way behind the others which made Kris and Junhee agree. Lisa will regain her powers by next year and will be starting magic school after, just like Taeyong."How do you feel about coming back? It's been like 6 months since the last time you were home," Junhee asks her son and Taeyong looks at his beautiful mother with a small smile."It feels kind of awkward, actually, but it's also nice since I miss the smell of my own room." Taeyong says making Junhee laugh a little. She sits down on her child's bed and Taeyong sits at her side."Has your heart healed or is it still wounded?" Junhee asks making Taeyong smile and take his mother's small hand to his and he kisses it softly."I'm fine, Mom... it will heal in time and I do think that sending me away from home and staying at the dorms really made me forget about Ten." Taeyong say."Honey... if you really want him to be your bride your dad and I could talk with your Uncle Minho to ask Ten to get engaged to you first and then when you guys are engaged, you'd have more time to be with him and try to make him fall in love with you." Junhee says making Taeyong sigh and shake his head."It's not like he hates me Mom, it's just the matters of the heart... he's still in love with Jae even though Jae already said no to him. He's still good friends with Jae and seeing him with his puppy eyes at Jae really makes me annoyed." Taeyong says making Junhee nod."Have you made plans on seeing him over the summer?" Junhee asks."Not really... I have not been in contact with him for like a year and I was totally avoiding him all year. I don't plan to make any contact with him any time soon." Taeyong says making Junhee stare at her son with a worried look on her face."Why would you do that when you still like him?" Junhee asks."It's complicated, Mom... and I don't really want to talk about it, I was hoping to visit Magic Land while I am here and I think I need to visit the council too as I will further my studies there, I want to look at that place or maybe Dad would recommended me to the magical council in Canada." Taeyong says making Junhee even more worry."Honey... you have been away from us way too much and I really want you to just stay at home whenever you decide to come back, do you know how much I missed you when you were away?" Junhee asks making Taeyong smile."I know, Mom... I missed you too, but you have Taehyung, right? And Lisa." Taeyong says making Junhee sigh and have a bitter smile."They are not you... I love them but you are my first child and you've always been special in my heart." Junhee says making Taeyong chuckle as he pulls her mother in his arms and kisses Junhee's cheek."It will be fine, Mom, I will come home whenever you want me to... I promise." Taeyong says and Junhee grips at the back of Taeyong's shirt and sighs as she has a feeling that she's going to miss her eldest son even more than she does right now. Later that night, they have dinner with all the family members and as always, Kris really loves to have Taeyong back at home just like Junhee. He missed his son and it shows on his face and the conversation that he's having with Taeyong at the dining table makes both Lisa and Taehyung feel a little bit jealous since Kris is only affectionate with them in certain times and moods but with Taeyong,  everyday would be wonderful for Kris and the elder will probably have good mood all summer since Taeyong is home and they'll always spend their time together as father and son.Lisa has known this since she was young, same with Taehyung who was born later after Lisa but he had his share of spoiled moments with his parents as Kris really granted everything he wanted while Lisa was much closer to her mother rather than her father even though Kris could be really head over heels for his daughter sometimes."All the cousins are planning to have a summer BBQ party at the palace, the twins are organizing everything with Yeri." Lisa says softly at the dinner table and Junhee looks at her daughter with a smile."Just you guys or will the parents be there too?" Junhee asks."Just us, all cousins... Melanie and Tia will be coming over too." Lisa says making Junhee nod at the mention of Leo and Lay's adopted children."I will not be joining you guys." Taeyong says making both Lisa and Taehyung glare at their elder brother which makes Taeyong smile rather guilty."One of the reasons that we are doing this is because of you oppa! Everyone wants to see you since you have disappeared for like a year and hardly even join us when we are having gatherings like this." Lisa says to her older brother making Taeyong sigh a little."I already made plans with my friends to visit the council on the weekend and look for any application on magical studies overseas." Taeyong says making both Lisa and Taehyung glare at him again."We will not consent to this and you are coming with us this coming weekend." Taehyung says and Lisa nods in agreement with her little brother."Guys... please don't do this to me."
